Agree with this, 1-0 down with half an hour to go and our fans singing the name of some on the opposition bench, makes us look so small time . Look how Spurs fans got behind their team at 2-1 down, we were poor 2nd half - fans just seem to accept defeat

I still feel Elia is a bit soft, need him to rise to the challenge on Sunday, plus having Alderweireld and Bertrand out is a worry.
-
Are we bringing back March madness? Cheaper season tickets for those who renew early but actual price of season tickets going up on last year once they reach general sale I reckon. The club may be looking to cash in on feelgood factor but would also make sense to wait and see if we're in Europe.

Chatted to a "Liverpool" fan at work yesterday, worked with him for nearly a year now and have never heard him mention he supported them before, he wanted to tell me all about how their season has turned and how they will definitely get champions league place again. Can't stand the arrogance of big club charlies like this. Really looking forward to the game , hope we find form and have Alderweireld back, will be watching Liverpool v Besiktas on Thursday night in the hope the Turks give them a very tough physical game. Forster clyne fonte Alderweireld Targett wanyama schneiderlin Davis Mane Pelle Elia

Having been to Sweden pre-season going to Halmstad via Copenhagen and Malmo I can tell you it would get the thumbs up from me, brilliant place. For all the wigan / Birmingham horror stories of Europa league and relegation we should aspire to do what Fulham and Middlesbrough did having amazing runs to the final. The Fulham v Juventus and Fulham v Hamburg Uefa Cup semi final were some of the best non-saints football I've been to.

This. F@ck sake you can spend your whole life "waiting to be ready". Carpe Diem, lets play Rubin Kazan away having a laugh on a night train from Moscow, followed by Dynamo Minsk Or Skonto Riga . It would be great to have a few big European nights at St Marys.
-
Don't know why I'm bothering to reply but what do you mean our most vocal support will be spread out? This isn't a cup game with fans being Moved. Atmosphere hasn't been great recently at St Marys but hopefully we'll be up for this one. Helps not being an early ko.

Not right. A fair percentage of Feltham to London trsins go on the Brentford route via Hounslow instead of Richmond. I'd recommend Isleworth for a more affordable option. Still near the river and easy journey to London

Our "support" was particularly disappointing last night and doesn't help the team at all. The moaning and sense of entitlement some feel is astonishing considering how much the team has over achieved this season. At least in the old relegation battles the fans knew how to roar the team on . Let's hope the Liverpool game will produce a better atmosphere. In terms of the performance I felt we were unlucky not to get a break in front of goal, so much possession in West Ham's half but not enough cutting edge. I wouldn't blame Pelle for that though.

I suppose it is our only away game that month , and an easy journey, perhaps they were happy subsidising a small number of tickets, but holding some of the away fans fund back for another reduced price game in May when we have three away games on 2nd, 9th, 24th
-
Small allocation as well, only 1436 tickets available. we should easily sell out now even being a lunchtime sunday kick off on sky
-
Unfortunately if its a one match ban any Liverpool player wil serve that on Saturday missing Palace cup game. We could do with a draw and Spurs also picking up some injuries to holt their momentum.
-
Plus winning at Ipswich in the FA cup , I went to Arsenal and Stoke in LC, both cracking cup wins which made defeat at Sheff Utd all the more disappointing. So 11 away wins in total - lets get this to 15 saints.
-
West Ham have now sold out their allocation, they took the full amount 3100 and are offering free coach travel to the game for their fans http://www.whufc.com/articles/20150114/v-southampton-a_2236896_4417684 although i can't imagine Cass Pennant taking advantage of that offer. should be a good atmosphere

Away record has been fantastic this year, and great reward for those who have followed the team at great expense around the country. you could argue for the away defeats all were unlucky and on another day could easily have been draws, i was at Spurs (Mane miss) , Arsenal (late winner for them when we were down to 10 men) and Burnley (missed penalty), the Liverpool game we just lacked a bit of organisation at the back for their goals. I wonder what other games the club are planning to use the "away fan fund" for? last season we subsidised tickets for Swansea away doing tickets for a £5, so far this year think all we have offered is reduced coach travel for Palace on boxing day
-
Unfortunately this will see him out of the QPR, West Ham and Liverpool games, he can then play against WBA and Palace and out again for Chelsea away, so only 2 games between now and March 21st when we play Burnley.
-
No it doesn't at all you idiot. a mate of mine when done there the other day looking for ONE ticket for the Liverpool game but it was sold out, same thing happened for palace game. If there were single seats left they would have sold it to him. The fact someone doesn't turn up for games doesn't mean the seat is unsold. One scandal this season is the family area where you have to buy an adult and child together so single seats get left there as unsellable under those conditions
-
Likewise, all decent informative posts and come across as top people, if we had to have a fanbase abroad with foreign fans coming over for games the Dutch would be my choice, they understand fan culture well.
-
They've already done the draw for the next round, if we get through we'll be at home to Liverpool or Birmingham in 1/4 final
-
There's not another flight scheduled from Equatorial Guinea to Southampton Airport until next week unfortunately
-
Red just means it it limited availability, grey is sold out, always blocks on halfway line sell out first, chapel stand and Itchen North always last to sell out, mainly due to lack of season ticket holders in those areas. I get why this is a big game, but still surprised it has sold so quickly with it being a 4.15pm sunday kick off on sky at Cat A prices. That is a tough run of fixtures for Liverpool, Rogers won't be able to rest many players in those games, hopefully they get through against Bolton after extra time and have a tough game at Palace , Besiktas looked like a good side qhen they played Spurs and Arsenal earlier this year so will give Liverpool a good game . If we can get our squad back to fitness in time for QPR we really haven't got many games in the following 7 weeks.
-
saints bar sold out, but you can get a seat in an executive box for £70 with a fully stocked fridge - details here http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/20150121-hospitality-boxes-fa-cup-2218131.aspx
-
Liverpool away - SKY Man City home - SKY Arsenal away - BT Sport Man Utd home - SKY Chelsea home - SKY Man Utd away - SKY Newcastle away - SKY Swansea home - SKY Liverpool home - SKY Chelsea away - SKY would expect us to be on a couple more times in April / May, Spurs home would be an obvious one, and Man City away last game.
-
that is clearly ridiculous on two fronts, the hospitality is so cheap it works out less than a normal ticket so the ticket office should be letting everyone who asks about it, and particularly here the Gentleman in question sounds like an ideal candidate to frequent the VIP seats.
-
Fair play for making the trip over to see a game, I'm always interested in the stories behind our 'foreign' fans , why they support saints, the efforts you go to just to watch matches and the perception of the club & city where you are from. There is even an Italian saints supporters club which has been going for many years so it's not just a recent phenomenon. Depending on how long you are visiting for you might get an FA Cup game on 14th Feb as well. If you need any further advice on going to the game or travelling to Southampton post on here as I'm sure someone will be able to help. West Ham is a good game to choose, should be a full house under the lights with a good atmosphere, West Ham will bring 3100 away fans and sing songs you'll recognise if you've seen Green Street.
