I've been to Cuba in October a couple of years ago, check out The Holiday Place who specialise in it, we got an excellent deal through them for 3 nights in Havana followed by a week in Varedero staying in Iberostar hotels in both, excellent accommodation. We did a 2 day excursion from Varedero down to Trinidad and back visiting some cities and a walk in forest with incredible scenery / waterfalls, well worth it to see some of the real Cuba. varedero had a lot of Canadians who reminded me of Americans, one bloke kept trying to talk to us about soccer and even after telling him several times I was a Saints fan he kept shouting across the pool "hey Sheffield Wednesday fans" , they were louder than expected. Amazing beach, Havana brilliant, Cubans great people. I'd recommend it before it changes too much.

Saints Pre-season tournament in Salzburg - 12th to 19th July 2015
JRM replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
I'd imagine this will be like the 45 min matches we had at the Liebherr tournament in order to complete it in one day. Great place to visit for fans looking to make a weekend of it , I'll be saving my money in case we end up with several Europa league games this year -
Why don't they just do the same as when they last redeveloped their ground and share with Dorchester?

"THE INCREDIBLE STORY OF THE PORTSMOUTH COMMUNITY COMING TOGETHER TO TAKE OWNERSHIP OF THEIR FOOTBALL CLUB" have they made a film about it or is this just going to be Alan Knight and the Trust patting themselves on the back?
-
Anyone from here going along to this next Monday? http://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-pompey-story-tickets-15632484181 Portsmouth’s journey to supporter ownership will be featured as part of Supporter Ownership Week, when some of the figures get together at the Dogget’s Coat and Badge pub on Blackfriar’s Bridge on Monday 13th April. Their journey to becoming the biggest supporter owned club in the country is well publicised, but we’re going to hear a more intimate tale of what happened from some of the people who made it happen. We’ll be hearing from club legend Alan Knight amongst others, and it won’t just be an event for Pompey fans, but for anyone interested in the journey that Portsmouth Supporters Trust and fellow fans took.

I think what we are seeing here is the next stage of asset stripping being carried out by Kat (aka the dreamwrecker - by Neil Ashton)
-
It wasn't direct debit defaulters - it was because the installment scheme that year was the club taking a number of payments from your card rather than account So if the bank card expired during the season the payment would fail, a flawed system.
-
The £29 match ticket is still a bit steep but great price for the coach at £3.26 I might do that and spend the afternoon in Sunderland wetherspoons for a day out

FFS CB Fry I've never been quoted in a blog before and now you've ruined any chances I had. Another racist stereotype was Oldham away 1993 when all saints fans went dressed as Sheikhs
-
The most racism I have heard at saints games has been directed at ginger people (wotsit incident MK Dons) Things have certainly got much better in the last 20/30 years, there was a time in early 90s when fans (Man City especially) would take giant inflatable bananas to wave at black players
-
Yes so assuming we pick up a few more points this will be our best season for 30 years - a great time to be a Saints fan and a reminder that while being ambitious for more is a good thing we should take a moment to appreciate what we have - who knows what the next 30 years will bring.
-
I don't think its correct to aim for "record points total of 77" as that was based on a 42 game season, better to work out what our best ever points per game ratio is. This season has been fantastic, the players deserve our praise whatever happens now but I sense some fans at games being restless expecting to win easily now such as Burnley and therefore not really enjoying it as much as ee used to when a win was a rare thing. I think we'll finish 6th. Need Kelv to have a good run of form
-
in answer to number 5 - remember Fulham and Middlesbrough getting to the final? Fulham in 2009 or 2010 whenever it was - their fans enjoyed that , some incredible games in Europa run
-
The rush to leave is crazy, I watch people ignoring the conclusion of another good win in the desire to get down those stairs on 88 mins, reminds me of clueless travellers getting in a mini panic at the boarding gate when others start forming a queue they can't help getting up to go and join it.

We've recruited from abroad in the past for academy, Tim Sparv from Finland was one I think but there are others. Not that unusual but would hope we keep giving local lads a try. What was the outcome of the challenge to our Bath academy?
-
i agree was very impressed with him yesterday, Chelsea seemed to back off him afraid of his pace and he enjoyed that. Would like to see Mane play with this freedom more as it does create chances, he needs to work on his shooting to convert them. Pleased to see him prove some of the doubters wrong from earlier in the season.
-
Great result, Liverpool have tough run coming up and already due to play Swansea next Monday night and now also need to play a replay in Blackburn as well
-
To be honest I'm not a huge fan of the big tournaments with fans travelling en masse, get every man and his dog there making hotels a premium and far too many dimwits doing England away nowdays, give me a hard to get euro qualifier somewhere like Belarus over a summer tournament any day.
-
I myself have witnessed discrimination first hand at football and ashamed to say I didn't report, Turkish screaming with his hate filled eyes at MK Dons left back "you look like a wotsit"
-
Will be nice if the 2nd leg of the final is at home, if we are to win this it would be great to lift the trophy in front of our own fans. Will definitely try to go to the home leg , if saints promote the game well I reckon we could get a big crowd in for it
-
Got to laugh at some of the idiot posts on this thread, fair play to the club going there- Davos will have just the facilities for team bonding exercises and excellent hotels for the players so spend some time away from the usual routine. No doubt Ralph and Kat have used their contacts to sort it out. As its a venue where the worlds business leaders converge me might even pick up some commercial sponsors on the way. The chap on the last page who was glad to be back from Iceland, f*ck sake man what did you expect there in February? It may be a bit chilly but if you're interested in geography and visiting somewhere with some of the most amazing scenery on the planet its great.
-
does that rule him out for tonight? all helps - apparently they are missing quite a few forwards with Murray being suspended as well as Chamakh / Sanogo being injured, our record against Palace seems to be fairly good over the years so fingers crossed this game will be a turning point to get some more points on the board. get behind the lads tonight.

i was just thinking the same mate, block 43 was put on sale weeks ago but virtually completely unsold, as it blocks 1,2 and 3 of the Itchen North, tons of empty seats. Looks like the fans have quickly turned their backs just when the side actually need their support. it is easy to go along and cheer when winning every week - this is when real support actually counts and unfortunately our fanbase it short in that respect. Used to love the good old night game battles at the Dell when you felt the Archers actually gave the players a lift, and as much as i don't like Palace's ultras got to say they have a real impact at Selhurst park. i reckon crowd of about 27-28k tonight.
-
Agree with the sentiments, the crowd was far too negative in 2nd half against Liverpool, the delight some dimwits seem to take in slagging off Pelle is particularly sad, one 'fan' followed up his criticism by singing Lamberts name as if to make a point. Real shame.
-
Djurijic and Elia both lightweight offering no real support to Pelle in chasing down defenders, no wonder Pelle gave up. Not a lot changed when Tadic and Mane came on, all good at doing a little dance with the ball but rarely took on and beat a defender .
