quite a few of them seem to think they've been clever and purchased tickets in the home end , and "near the away bit" so assume either in block 42 of Northam or block 1/2 of the Itchen, not a good place for an away fan to be !
-
that's not what it looks like to me, the usual Northam stand blocks for home fans are on sale, so the usual Northam stand season ticket holders can buy their regular seat there. Palace must just be taking the 3200 standard away blocks , they should get close to bringing that many with such cheap prices. has anyone seen if they are doing the £25 hospitality deal again?

i think the last time we were on BBC was Coventry at home in the last game of the Championship season, 4-0 win and a great pitch invasion so at least our record there isn't too bad, although the Blackpool game was dreadful. I remember beating Ipswich a couple of times in the Cup, 2010 at home and away in 99 -00 season Dean Richards header, that was midweek i think as well? good omens anyway. a lot will depend on how fit our squad stays, if Clyne is back, and if the new forward Elia can do the business

BBC currently have a slot in their schedule for Wednesday 14th Jan to show a replay on BBC1 which conveniently conicides with the date of our game. I should imagine BT Sport will also show a game on Tuesday. Our game should be on based on 2nd in championship home to 4th in Premier League but you never know.

Looks like there is just a handle of normal tickets left - singles scattered around the ground - assuming we'll sell most of the £25 hospitality now as well this attendance will be well over 31k crowd, excellent reward for the clubs pricing policy.

It is a top effort, ipswich have confirmed they sold out 5500 being the whole of the Northam stand so that will limit the amount of segregation needed. Can see this selling out over the next few days. Still availability in hospitality, £25 for the saints bar, I'd recommend that to anyone who wants to try the best seats in the ground for a cheap price. I don't think the Ipswich end will make that much noise, massive travel club day out on a sunday, bet they'll be mostly sat down Crowd of over 31k will be among the biggest of the round
-
where did you see the number of tickets? an Ipswich fan i spoke to at work said they had 3100 then were given an additional 1600 up to 4700 , did we then give them another 800 tickets on top of that? hats off to them if that is the case , incredible following on sunday

Rather than moaning above saints fans should "recreate" the Northam in itchen North corner, just had a look online and tons of availability in blocks 1, 2 & 3. The Kingsland north has plenty as well. No reason why there can't be a decent atmosphere still, and hats off to Ipswich for bringing such good numbers down, big away support is one of the best things about the cup. At these prices it should be close to a sell out , I look forward to seeing some of the younger players as well impressed with Reed, Targett this season hopefully have Gallagher back soon and I expect Hesketh will be given another chance. £10 adults and £3 kids is superb.

That's rubbish I've sat in all stands at st marys and its incredibly rare to get an away fan in the home section. Not sure what you've got to support that. What we do have is quite elderly support in side stands and family support in Chapel end which generally means the only areas to make any noise are the northam, itchen north and Kingsland north. Good atmosphere yesterday , helps winning and under the lights

Everton have looked very strong in midfield last time I've seen them so would be tempted to play Alderweireld there to break up attacks. Barclay will dominate and I like the look of Naismith and his runs into the box. The game looks on course to be a sell out with only a few tickets left mostly in block 43 which was returned by Everton (they've sold out the rest of their allocation though) so on course for another 31,500 crowd just got to hope Pelle and Tadic can find a bit of form again

Yeah it definitely suits us being the sunday allowing some recovery time after the Arsenal game. We then get a week off before Man Utd away. Excellent prices but I really can't see Ipswich bringing that many down on a Sunday , no doubt there will be engineering works on the trains. I reckon Ipswich will rest some players if they're still top 2 in championship , we will also rest a number of players if still in the league cup. Any idea what we are changing for the saints bar in hospitality?

I'm looking forward to having a few non televised games, whether theres a curse or not we definitely under perform on sky.
-
you completely disagree that transport links are non-existent on boxing day making games to get to either a pain in the arse or impossible for some people?
-
yes - in fact if you buy online you can currently choose between the tiers, apparently not many left in the lower tier so if anyone wants to stand where the majority of fans will be worth getting tickets asap for the lower tier. will be good to see that whole lower tier full - would look great if we score at that end
-
We have been given a further 800 tickets taking the allocation to nearly 3400 , to be fair if we take all of that midweek in December it is a top effort in my book. £15 ticket price is excellent and if people are resourceful getting minibuses together etc quite a cheap away day compared to what we are getting used to in the Premier league. been an excellent cup run so far with support at Arsenal and Stoke top notch for numbers so lets keep it going.

Our biggest threat to Champions League football...the League Cup

I don't normally get drawn to posts such as this but f*ck sake Dalek surely even you must be bored of going through the motions to post such shlt . Stop wasting your life. -
No they are still on sale looking online, tons of availability especially at the Chapel end. i don't know why they don't remove all restrictions and just have open general sale, i had a look on Man City site and they have yet to sell their initial allocation of 2500 which is on general sale so there is no risk of their fans buying in our end.

Maskell was definitely a success scoring in the 4-2 thrashing of Liverpool in 94. Kevin Davies as well was a success.
-
Firstly we need to hope for an injury free international break, hopefully Clyne gets a game v Slovenia but is spared what is bound to be a rough cup tie style match away to Scotland at Celtic Park. Does anyone know when Ward-Prowse is expected back? Could do with him as an option with Davis being injured and Schneiderlin one booking away from a suspension. Harrison Reed is a good option off the bench. Most players should be back on Wednesday / Thursday next week so extra couple of days preparation will help us.

It is definitely getting better over there with the atmosphere returning, had some great games in that part of the ground, particularly memorable for atmosphere was Bristol City at home 08-09 season and the skates game in the cup. If you watch Lambert's goal filmed from the Kingsland you can see the Itchen corner bounce towards the skate end in celebration. Now half season tickets are available the chance is there for more fans to locate to this area.
-
It's all a complete farce, this game is going to struggle to sell out anyway at this time on a sunday on sky. plus Man City have only taken the smaller allocation of 2500 initial allocation so it is hardly like we have to worry about City fans buying up tickets in the home end . They should re-introduce a membership scheme and have a simple process of tickets going on sale to members first, then season ticket holders to buy extra seats, then open general sale. What they do today just confuses everyone.
-
i don't think you'll need to worry about that, with the minutes silence for all saints day planned as well i am sure his name will be sung many times, we should add Kat to it as well, she has continued what he started (considering ML has been gone since summer 2010 you could argue Kat deserves as much credit for carrying on) I am pleased we have the ML tribute at the training ground and Ted Bates statue at the ground. any team news yet for Saturday? haven't heard much about Jay Rodriguez and Ward-Prowse recently - any idea when they could be back?
-
it could actually be cheaper than that, they are charging £15 for their season ticket holders so i think Saints could sell at £15 for our season ticket holders as well. If they can do travel for £20/£25 then not too bad. Tough old trip mid December, as is Burnley a few days before.
-
yes it has, two weeks ago we sold all of block 43 and some of block 44 for Stoke at home, it wasn't a full house but Stoke didn't bring many.
