The Man City game is available now but saying to be eligible you need to have been to all 14/15 home games, this must be a mistake as previously they said you had to have bought for one of them they are not very good at testing these system priorities before going live
-
yeah there will still be plenty to go around with Burnley a few days earlier and it being so close to Christmas, if we take 3000 on a Tuesday night that will be a top turn out, should be do able considering the numbers we took to Arsenal and Stoke already. i can't see our game being televised so that will help the numbers travelling. Should be a cracking cup tie , and a decent chance to make the semi finals.

I'm pleased they are counting the league cup matches towards games attended as in the past they didn't do that. Has been the case for a while now that tickets purchased only count once that game has been played. This topic always reminds me, have we now given up on the loyalty point scheme completly? I do wonder why we don't charge a tenner for membership so regular home fans get a priority window when they go on sale and priority away tickets before general sale. Would be easy money for the club. Having said that I don't think there will be a rush for forthcoming category A games with Man City on a Sunday lunch time, Man Utd on a Monday night and Chelsea Sunday lunch over xmas all on sky plus lots of expensive games in the space of a few weeks.
-
Got a feeling there will be quite a few making a late decision and travelling up to pay on the day with it being half term, half of the group i'm travelling with are going to buy their tickets once we get up there , and i notice above we have already sold 3 blocks based on block numbers people are getting, we'll have more up there midweek in the cup then they brought to us in the league (and had free coach travel), good support from us.
-
Good news, there will be a fair few paying on the day as well and being half term there's bound to be a few who make a last minute decision to go. If we have 2000 up there that would be an excellent turn out. It will be interesting to see how strong a team Hughes puts out, their bench was quite strong on Saturday so even making changes won't weaken them much

Agreed it is an utterly pointless discussion which by its very nature has a negative slant to it. Stop bl00dy worrying about "if I had a choice which one would I lose" question and full steam ahead for our league and cup run. No reason whatsoever why one is at the expense of the other. Do you think Chelsea fans sit there worrying oh if we beat Maribor I hope we don't lose to Man Utd, oh I'd much rather lose the cup game oh deary me" Chances are we'll see a fair few Stoke changes for the cup game and we'll certainty see defensive changes for us with Targett in and Gardos / Toby switching.

our cheapest normal adult seat for a Cat C game is £34. Arsenal's cheapest Cat C is £25 Our hosts next week Hull City cheapest normal adult ticket for Cat C = £16. For the top games our Cat A are nowhere near as expensive as some teams, but our lowest Category tickets are quite a lot. Filling the ground against "lesser" opposition who only bring small away allocations (thus creating higher supply of home tickets) is difficult, i think lower prices would help. There was a £25 promotion in the Chapel stand for this game for season ticket holders to buy extra seats, not sure what the take up was like for that but i didn't see it advertised much.

There are still plenty of tickets left for this game, looking online they have now put most of block 44 on sale so we will have most of the Northam stand for home fans which makes a change. Hopefully we’ll get a decent walk up tomorrow and sell most of them so the mass of empty seats won’t be so prominent on the tv highlights. Still plenty available in block 43 and some in the Itchen North as well.
-
I’m going up with a car load, looking forward to it as love cup football and it has been a cracking cup run already with wins away at “tough” places to go (Millwall and Arsenal) . I reckon we’ll have about 1500 there which is still a decent turn out midweek up north 3 hour drive. (and probably more that what Stoke will bring to us on Saturday with their free coach travel) I wonder if the squad will stay up there and train elsewhere on the way to Hull to reduce the travelling time?

Top stuff, pleased you enjoyed the visit and it sounds like the club looked after you well. I saw a group of Dutch lads outside the Itchen stand as well, think it was Koeman's son and his friends. A taxi driver I spoke to mentioned he picked up some people going to the match at Southampton airport who had come in on the direct flight from Amsterdam, sounds like we could be a popular English club to visit for Dutch fans wanting to come across for a match now with Koeman connection. I went to Feyenoord pre season in 2001, excellent trip despite the 1-0 defeat, great stadium and atmosphere.

That is exactly what i thought. For previous league visits we have had just under 3000 (about 2900 from memory as Arsenal take out segregation from the away section), on the basis that; 1 - the last two seasons this has sold out as soon as going on sale. 2 - Arsenal have generously continued to categorise us as unglamorous Cat C team with cheap tickets at £26 adults £10 for kids. 3 - we recently sold out 5188 tickets for the cup game as soon as they went on general sale with plenty of people looking for tickets / buying in the home end. so the decision to just take the full allocation should have been the easiest one the ticket office will get to make all season. if after the "initial" allocation is sold out we don't get a further allocation i'd expect the ticket office to explain that one. At least they are publicising the number of tickets we have now unlike last season when they refused to let us know what allocation we'd taken at various grounds.

It will be interesting to see what the crowd is for this game, Ssints being 3rd in the league having just won 8-0 and ticket prices being Category C - cheapest available PLUS the ticket offer of £25 in the chapel stand for season ticket holders to buy extra for mates. Stoke won't bring many down so block 43 will once again remain empty behind the goal unless the rest of the ground sells out and they open it up for home fans. I would play the same side for this, like the option of Mane coming off the bench and we can bring Wanyama on 2nd half. Will be a tough game - another team we have failed to beat since getting back up to prem, we always draw with them so about time we put that right. Strange having them in the cup a few days later as well

Should we have sacked Pochettino any way?
JRM replied to Red And White Barmy Army's topic in The Saints
never really warmed to Poch, he arrived in an under hand manner and treated the cups disgracefully, anyone who was at Sunderland would agree, Koeman has already shown more ambition and rewarded us with an amazing night at The Emirates. For me Poch was always tainted after the summer 2013 where he said he would leave in Chairman Cortese did, clearly marking his allegiance to one man and not the club / fans. He clearly had no intention in sticking around long term and from what I hear he was a bad influence amongst the players who left in the 'meltdown'. i think Poch decided to leave in the spring. At least we got £2M for him -
Jose Fonte in new Portugal coach's thoughts - Gets first Call Up!
JRM replied to stevegrant's topic in The Saints
Clearly it is better for our players to get call ups and recognition. The downside is they could get injured , and might have their heads turned, but that is still better than them wanting to leave to a “big” club to boost their chances of an international call up. The positive side is by having international recognition we can add a premium to the cost of a player if they do insist in forcing a move. -
That all sounds good, did Kat give any indication of how aware she was of the abuse coming from sections of the fan base in the summer? Some of the disgraceful comments also used in the media (Ashton’s “dream-wrecker” article for example) and the fans that accused her of asset stripping, “Fat Kat” etc, I wouldn’t blame her for feeling very let down that the fans did not rally round and get behind her and the club, instead choosing to following the media line on the club being in crisis and a “meltdown”. Hats off to her for what has been achieved, we are very very lucky to have owners like the Liebherrs when you look at the other mad men like Vincent Tan, Cellino, Hull City’s owner etc. I feel very positive about the club at the moment, Koeman was a great appointment and the board should be enjoying this well deserved success so far.
-
its not Savage who needs to apologise its some of the cretins on here who went much further than tipping us to struggle (personal attacks on members of the board, specifically K. Liebherr, L. Reed and R. Krueger)
-
waa discussing this the other day, would love to win the next three games to 1) get one over Redknapp / Hoddle etc 2) beat Poch and 3) finally beat Sunderland! after that we come up against more ex saints v Stoke.
-
still quite a few tickets left for this game, the new ticket website is slightly confusing as blocks coloured red are just low availability rather than sold out, so tickets still available in virtually every block. the Itchen North corner is an odd one with loads of seats available in blocks 1, 2 and 3. QPR sold initial 2245 and have put a further 600 on sale earlier this week, can't see them selling all of those but around 2500 of them will help boost the crowd towards 30k. interesting the club seem to be acknowleding that incentives need to be used for some games with season ticket holders being offered to buy extra discounted tickets for Stoke at home in the Chapel stand. I think talk of us going top is unlikely, chelsea are 3 points clear with better goal difference and goals scored . id play Forster Clyne Gardos Fonte Bertrand schneiderlin Cork Davis Tadic Pelle Long
-
Spurs two home defeats on the bounce without scoring, tough games coming up away to Arsenal, home to Besiktas then the mighty saints visit White Hart Lane, I would bl00dy love it if we beat Poch with Spurs fans booing him tickets go on general sale tomorrow surely that will sell out soon?!!
-
I've had a read as well and there are still some very strong names being mentioned in Arsenal's potential line up. We need to be at our best to win this so let's play our strongest team and give it a go. A cup run would be a great buzz and the match going fans I talk to are really looking forward to this, 5200 fans going plus more in the home end from the sound of it. Tickets still on general sale for anyone else who wants to go but only available behind goals in upper tiers. We haven't won away at Arsenal since 1987, about time we put that right must be due a win there!
-
Yes but only received mine yesterday so expect them at the start of this week. Good to see Arsenal have confirmed our league game there in December is a Cat C game so we can enjoy £26 tickets for that. We might never win there but can't complain about their prices!
-
Following on from a theme on other threads, this season is proving to be a fruitful one for those fans who can never get away tickets. We are only in September and have had FOUR London away games on GENERAL SALE (assuming Spurs will on Monday) Can't complain with that, plus chance for season ticket holders to build up some aways
-
Kew Gardens is a great spot, I parked there for England game at Wembley. Very nice pub at Kew Gardens station as well. Still tickets available on general sale in home end for anyone who missed out.
-
I think that's correct so once we've sold block 22 that will be the first 3000 sold with over 2000 tickets still to go. The fact I think we've got a real chance of winning at the Emirates £10 is a bargain to go
