Everyone should back this. Those who want to stand can. Those who like to sit won't have to put up with people like me standing in front of them

Pardew was fed up with interference from Les Reed and wouldn't agree to work to his principles.

the points system has been shown up to be a complete farce, they awarded "points" for Sheff Wed at home as well, that was a waste of time. clearly the points mean nothing and they just pick games to say who has been to the most on average, ignoring cup games. big allocation for this though so should be plenty to go round.

I watched the Everton game in the Royal Oak , was decent but quite busy. Does anyone have any updates on which pubs are showing the West Ham game ?

Simon Peach just tweeted - “Looks as if Saintsfc# could be without several important players at WHUFC on Saturday. Would be amazed if Gaston Ramirez is fit”

They used to have a little shop incorporated into the external wall of the Milton Road stand which could be accessed by all fans, was a really superb little place that was always very busy, in the golden age when a programme was affordable and very collectable. I used to have shoe boxes full of them in order each season and if you missed an away match could guarantee you could pick one up from them at the next home game. Definitely a reminder of a time before all the excessive commercialisation of football that has sadly now put an end to this great tradition. I have made a conscious effort not to buy any food drink in the stadium, or anything from the club shop since Cortese started his booking fee and parking charges, takes the plss charging £1.50 per ticket and then send them all out in one envelope normal post!

If anything I would say football is more racist now , white people are under-represented in the England team especially at some of the youth levels. What is the proposed action to address this imbalance ?

34 players is a hell of a lot to have nominated, if it was say top 10 it might actually mean something

cracking prices, hats off to West Brom for that. cheaper than anything we paid in the championship i think. i'm more tempted to go to this now and give Liverpool a swerve who will charge us £42.

to be fair footballs clubs do seem to mess around these days with sale no return basis etc. Fulham sold the initial 1800 two weeks before the game, they then "asked for more" like we did with West Ham, and got 700 more up to 2500. they then reported that those were "nearly sold and there would be no tickets available on the day" my point it why not just give them the 3200 and let them get on with selling them once they had shown they had already sold quite a few. could have had quite a few more paying on the day.

more importantly..................................................... will it be available in Japanese?
-
Fulham have a dull sunday game coming up v Sunderland in November, on sky, they have a special offer where season ticket holders can get 2 extra tickets for £5 each. Good deal and will ensure a full house. Shame we don't do anything like that.
-
yes, especially on the train home, so perhaps people who have a journey to make are more likely to.
-
did they ever confirm how many more tickets we got and what the final allocation was? thought it was a bit strange when they said they were asking for more, but didn't say how many.

i am most concerned about what this means for the programme shop in the chapel stand. for many years as a young chap i'd regularly visit their shop in the Milton Road stand at The Dell and buy that days programme, plus often a couple of old ones or a bundle. was lucky enough to get many of the old saints European programmes from there. i went into the Chapel stand a couple of times last year and paid a visit to their stand, still had a cracking selection of old ones. A great reminder of a time before all this Premier League commercial b0llocks. AGAINST MODERN FOOTBALL

Last I heard they still had hopes he'd be fit and it was 50/50
-
I heard they are planning one but pulled out Matt le Tissier's season ticket number in the draw so cancelled it !
-
27,500 i think mate, with a record small take up of corporate seats. having said that i hear Fulham are expecting to bring down 2500 so that will boost it, i had expected them to bring as many as Wigan for a sunday tv game.
-
West Ham - Sold Out - will more tickets be available
JRM replied to red&white56's topic in The Saints
the article never said how many more tickets we were getting did it? assume to 3000, but would be nice if they said that as relatively important info. -
Fulham sold their initial allocation of 1800 and were sent more tickets to bring it up to 2500, they won't bring more than that, but still not bad for them and boosts the attendance a bit. block 43 will remain empty i'd imagine. i assume your 2800 figure does not include all the unsold corporate tickets as well? plus block 43 we'd be looking at about 27,500 i'd imagine.
-
can one of the usual suspects go on the ticket website and work out how many tickets are still left for this one?
-
i know it is still 4 weeks away, but would have thought they'd confirm what date this game will be played by now so that those going can make arrangements.
-
also with it being a sunday 1.30 kick off, on tv, this will probably be our smallest home league crowd of the season, fulham are bringing a few down and have sold over 1800 already, but can see a lot of people who pick and choose their games giving it a miss and saving for a game that isn't on the box. having said that it is another 3 weeks until the next home game v Spurs so maybe not.
-
it is on sky, and Fulham are in decent form, without Schneiderlin in midfield i think we will struggle, going to go for 2-2 draw, we will definitely concede.
