  1. yes we had sold over 2100 prior to saturday and more sold on the door, about 2200 there. there is a pic on football awaydays on twitter that shows our end. we've taken good numbers last few seasons, and smashed what they are taking in league one (ok they are struggling, but we had -10 to begin with and still took 800 to Hartlepool on a tuesday night. ) they had about 1000 at Orient last night, ok not too bad for league one midweek in that weather, but we took 4000 there twice.
  2. it could be £3M, it could be £35M, we don't know.
  3. another point that needs clarifying is this "profit" is referred to in context of "first 6 months back in premier league" but these accounts should be for whole of 2012 so what's the actual true figure including transfers ?
  4. I think that's the key to understand really as otherwise talk of making profit is misguided. the concept of Liebherrs "writing off" debt is also misleading , they can convert loan to equity and feel comfortable that the asset they own is worth several times more what they paid for it. selling would most likely still see them make an overall profit.
  5. do those figures include transfer fees ? and how is the BVI loan accounted for as part of that ?

    Lawro prediction

I can see us losing as well to be honest , would be typical of Redknapp and saints to slip up.
  7. Perry Groves book is decent. doesn't mention saints much though. Gary Monk has just brought one out , will be about his Swansea career but might give an insight to coming through at saints. Theo Walcott released a book as well I think.
  8. Liverpool game now sold out more than 3 weeks in advance, wonder how many more we could have sold?
  9. just had a look online , this game is virtually sold out now with just single tickets dotted around and some in back row of Itchen chapel corner.
  10. i still wouldn't be surprised, Zenit have had the winter break and do not travel particularly well, an early goal for Liverpool and they could do it, managed to put 5 past Swansea last week.
  11. I was down the ground yesterday lunchtime and there were a few people buying then , a couple of Poles in front of me were disappointed as not allowed to buy tickets as not on the database which they were struggling to understand. I reckon this will sell out in next couple of days which is impressive. if Liverpool manage to get through against Zenit there could be a few people looking to sell with game moving to a Sunday.

    saints v QPR

QPR have sold out 3100 as well so should be a decent game atmosphere .

    Hospitality

Have they already sold out the normal hospitality for this then? normal match tickets aren't even on sale. as a heads up, if Liverpool get through against Zenit St Petersburg (first leg away this Thursday, second leg next week) then our game will be moved to Sunday March 17th
  14. st marco can you help me out please , who are all those people at the top of this page wearing saints shirts ? are they all just other guys ?
  15. conventionally members of "the 92" just see a game at the ground , doesn't have to be a saints game , as otherwise unless you're a luton / skates / Bradford there's no chance of doing it. I'm up to 78 grounds now out of current 92 not sure when I'll get to do the northern league 2 ones.
  16. your mutual "business" friend wouldn't happen to be a lady who asks for payment up front for her services would it ?
  17. If this is true, where on earth is this money coming from? another BVI loan against future earnings?
  18. there are examples of cheaper tickets, and those clubs should be applauded, West Brom as well, hats off to them. midweek away games are inconvenient but we had some crackers that season, Yeovil wasn't really one of them couldn't find anything in town open after the game, Hartlepool and Rochdale were fantastic. you can get a network railcard return to yeovil i think, it wasn't too bad from memory.
  19. i remember chatting to a couple of Dagenham and Redbridge fans on the way back from the Tuesday night game at St Marys, it would do some on here good to speak to similar fans and what they get out of football, no glamour, even the train broke down on the way back and we had to get cabs from waterloo.
  20. £51 man city £50 Chelsea £42 Liverpool £45 Man Utd. you don't think that is being fleeced? also to the travel point, we generally found it easier to get cheap train deals for the likes of Carlisle away (think did £22 from London) then it is now where northern away games you are competing for the advanced fares with the london based man united fans etc.
  21. no you sound just like myself , loyal saints fans who travel the length of the country but realise when it's gone to far and we are just being fleeced. I'm not going to man united but can't wait for wigan , will be a massive turn out of fans mostly on the same wave length
  22. not sure of the relevance of that point to this thread In the context of why fans are losing faith in the club. sour mash summed it up referring to fans slowly drifting away rather than mass protests.
  23. excellent point, i think Dibden chap is just on a wind up anyway banging on about who is loyal v who isn't rather than delving into the issues of the game that are resulting in fans who did go week in week out to stop.
  24. that isn't a viable option for us. we don't have the resources United fans do, but we do share the same distaste at the state of the game and fellow "fans" like you who praise the premiership experience while rarely dipping into your own pocket, but then criticise those of us who do but begin to resent the way fans are treated. it is not just ticket prices. others on this thread have explained to you many times why loyal saints fans are disenchanted, that in itself should be a concern for the game. would love the bubble to burst and legion of "new fans" clubs like chelsea have attracted to disperse, the fans who had long gone won't be coming back in a hurry.
  25. just to confirm, the answer is or not.
