Defintely try De Ridder for Guly, but it is more away from home that i worry about Guly. I watched Watford v Forest on bbc last week and both sides were very poor, with Watford having little threat up front. However, we do always seem to struggle against them, and are surely due to drop points at home. Any news on ticket sales for this game? Watford won’t bring more that 800 I reckon, so can’t see it being more than 23-24k, going to be a hot sunny day so might boost the walk up numbers.

the patronising t0sser!! hahah
-
hahahah yeah nice one DigDig mate, which other ex-players posters have you got on your wall? Love you too. xx

i think we can expect a big crowd on 18th Oct - west ham have already sold out their allocation for the game http://www.whufc.com/articles/20110601/a-v-southampton_2236896_2396492 as of last week so surprised this game isn't restricted to those on the database now.
-
yeah that looks quality - top away support midweek.
-
he was basically saying don't post on the thread unless you want to w&nk over a goal scored by a player who once played for us but is now playing for another club, while that was happening we were losing at Cardiff. same goes for Bale and Walcott, couldn't care less what they do now. Pancake and Dune get it.
-
thanks for telling me what to do Canada saint, you are obviously such a pinnacle of what a fan should be like can you let me know when you actually spend some money on watching saints and i'll get a ticket near you to make notes on how it should be done.
-
yeah we should all write to the bbc and ask them to acknowledge we are Arsenal's feeder club.
-
Why don't you start threads on other ex-players who are no longer relevant to us, let's discuss Pulis at Aldershot. Why are people "proud" of chamberlain? He didn't want to be here and only started a handful of games for us, all he has done is boost the bottom line on our balance sheet.
-
who gives a f*ck, he doesn't play for us anymore, and even worse couldn't wait to jump ship , couldn't care less what he goes on to do.
-
Reality check, played two teams in top ten, lost to them both.
-
Get Guly off, waste of space.

only if you haven't got much imagination. we have got loads of history that would be fascinating. It is more than just having a trophy cabinet. http://www.esmadrid.com/en/portal.do?TR=C&IDR=440

There are plenty of issues that need addressing that don't get any coverage. The police have had a free rein to crack down and treat football fans as they like with no group standing up and opposing them. i think the biggest issue of civil liberties is that police forces are now using civil courts to issue banning orders to people who have not even been convicted of a football related offence, but instead based on the Police opinion that said fan is a "risk" the football banning order statistics has created a situation where the police go out of their way to make arrests at football that would barely warrant a caution on a friday or saturday night, they do this as they are rewarded with statistic of number of "banned fans". arrest someone on a nightout and they get a £50 caution, do it at football and they are taken to court given a £100 fine and a 3 year banning order. It is disproportionate.

He does go, i can vouch for him on that.

A saints musueum would be a great idea and would fit in very well with the stadium tour, i did the tours at Real and Athletico Madrid this time last year, Real's was as you expect, over the top and trophies every where, whereas Athletico's was just as i image a saints one being, done with real care and detail by people who clearly love the club, putting together excellent photography and videos of the club from the past, a section of past kits spanning 100 years, old programmes and ticket stubs on display, the various videos and images of the old ground really interesting, and we would have a few trophies and ex-players to commemorate. It does not need to be big, but i think it would be great and would be an attraction for fans of other clubs as well. the scottish football museum at Hampden is another one of note, covers the developments of the game but also looks at the changing face of football and has a "fans section" with stuff from the casuals and pics of fans from various games home and abroad over the ages. brilliant stuff.
-
we played them one year when they were pushing for promotion and were giving the other half of the stand to home fans who had already started buying season tickets in that section for the following years "premiership" that year we only got 2100 tickets. with up to 4300 this time you will be more than fine, just put the word out and let's show them what proper support looks like. I'm fed up with clubs like Reading thinking they are on an even par as us as a club, especially when it comes to support, their away numbers generally are poor, they even offered free travel club coaches to the FA Cup 1/4 final away at Man City last year. Reading have started giving free tickets away to soccer schools in places like Andover, encroaching on our territory, any kids at the game who see the size and passion of our support and the level of noise will be in no doubt who the bigger club are.
-
yeah i reckon more than 3500 will go to this one, other than the skates this is the nearest game, and with all the palava of getting to fratton this is actually our easiest away game i reckon, quick cheap trains, easy one to drive / coach to, plenty of town centre pubs. got a couple of people at work who follow Reading and they consider us as a local rival which is ridiculous but guess they don't get to play Swindon or Oxford much anymore.
-
yeah nice one, sure we can spread out in the stand.

The Bluebirds have also received another blow, with full-back Lee Naylor, who replaced the injured Andrew Taylor against Leicester, out of tomorrow's match with a calf injury. But better news for the Bluebirds comes as captain Mark Hudson and winger Craig Conway are at least both expected to return for the trip to Humberside Read More http://www.walesonline.co.uk/footballnation/cardiff-city-fc/2011/09/27/cardiff-city-pair-earnshaw-and-gestede-to-miss-southampton-clash-91466-29493756/#ixzz1ZA3HcGtP sounds like they will be out.
-
Not too bad £15 in advance, £20 on the day a bit steep, we should have decent numbers though at that price. it says away fans get blocks V and W in the Arthur Wait stand so will be stuck down towards the corner.
-
if coming up from southampton i'd recommend drinking around Clapham Junction before the game, might save you money on the train ticket not going into London and quite a few pubs around there. Few pubs near Norwood Junction that aren't bad, recall the wetherspoons being so packed worth giving it a swerve.
-
i would go even further than that and say put the word out to your mates who aren't season ticket holders to get along, there will be plenty of tickets even when they go on general sale, when was the last time we took 4,300 away? especially with it being on TV. Good day out on the beer / localish game / decent price tickets / could still be top if pick up a couple of wins should mean we take 4000
-
Excellent news - so i make that as the following players out: Rob Earnshaw Rudy Gestede Lee Naylor Andrew Taylor Mark Hudson Craig Conway and i like the line "manager Malky Mackay tried to bring in a short-term loan player to cover for his injured stars but has so far failed in his bids" we should have a decent chance of winning this with all those players out.
-
Did they give any indication of how many tickets had been sold? i would have thought we'll come close to taking the 2k they have given us.
