  1. what do they actually do? just wondering. did that Kenya trip they advertised happen?
  2. i think they have forgotten to delete that bit from the original story, the whole end holds 4200 so once the remaining 500 are sold that will be the lot, can see this being sold out by the end of the week.
  3. Good stuff, would imagine the remaining tickets will be snapped up this week, looking forward to it.
  4. As a general lesson in life i would say it is never a good quality in a person to be smug, you never know what lies around the corner. Enjoy it by all means, but without the smugness. I was at Waterloo after they won the semi final v Spurs at Wembley and saw the joy and celebrations of their fans getting to their 2nd cup final in 3 years, we have a bit still do to before feeling so superior, perhaps if we go up this year and they go down and get a two division gap again.
  5. The "official" site is absolute rubbish for ticket information. Compare it to other clubs who have clear precise dates of when on sale, and updates on the official website main news feed such as “Derby away on general sale today” , I was looking at West Ham’s site the other day, much much better. The fact it can say sold out when we clearly will have loads left shows what a joke it is. I reckon we’ll only take 1500 to Derby with Reading and Palace coming up just after that.
  6. obviously i want saints to be well supported, but i'd love it for one game if everyone boycotted to make a stand and show they can't keep taking the plss with ticket prices. judging from responses i think a lot will miss the game.
  7. so you were happy paying for a flag to be held in a store room and to be dusted off only when the club fancy it? hardly a fans flag is it.
  8. correct, Leeds charged them £36, and haved moved away fans in a disgustingly cynical attempt to milk more cash from the visiting fans, don't blame the few skates as i know for sure i won't go to Leeds if they charge us that, we have watford away a week before so will just do that instead.
  9. I hear what you're saying, but for a club with support the size of Derby and a local derby you'd expect at least 2700 which what we took to Leicester. We have Reading away on tv but I've predicated to my Reading mate we will take 4300 there, hope I'm right!! Do you get tickets in away end as part of your nipper being mascot or do you have to sit in home section?
  10. Watford haven't lost away yet this season
  11. Good interview, he is a clearly a bit mad, but i really like him and his enthusiasm, top man and he is right positive attitude is what it is all about.

Jimmy (case) Rodney (Wallace) Matt (Le Tiss) They may or may not be pets I've had in the past named after saints players.

Sparingly? At this rate the flag will see less games than you which is really sparingly!! So the fans flag has basically been put in storage, fair enough, but to confirm the fans who paid for it now have no say in when it can be used?

you can blame JustMike for that coming on here asking why he pays his fee, promting others to wonder why they paid him for a flag that isn't used?

who has mentioned NC? i was just asking JustMike who arranged the thing whats the situation with it? all that fuss about design, and it being something "done by the fans" has just been taken in by the club who decide when and what is done with it, hardly a fans iniative at all.

of course he is allowed to - nothing wrong with him saying what he thinks, just don't have to agree with it

    Wally Downes

what are you saying? that it was a good idea to spend money on a flag that won't be used?

    Wally Downes

yes, i am the cleaner and i want to know why a flag that cost a lot of money is using up all this space gathering dust and not on display at matches?

any news on the flag you got people to chip in for that is now stuck in a club store room?

Wally Downes is probably laughing all the way to the bank, i wonder if it is the policy of most other football clubs to come to agreements with departing personnel not to release details of the circumstances of departure, and why the club would not want such details being in the public domain and therefore prepared to pay to keep it that way. The Pardew saga does still have some questions marks over it.
  21. Superb support that night, brilliant noise / atmosphere from our fans, hope we can recreate than again this season up there and other away games. i've got high hopes for Reading if we can take 4k up there

as someone who grew up wishing i could be Le Tissier i hope he never ever goes away from the club, he is and always will be a legend. his opinions may or may not be right, but he is entitled to air them, and if they unsettle other people you should ask why rather than censor him.

    Wally Downes

I'm sure he probably did, i doubt Wally Downes leaving is that big an issue, but as it ties in with Pardew perhaps the details behind that and the confidentiality agreement Pardew signed would be put as risk by a hearing going through a public court. Wally would have signed an agreement in exchange for the cash, so guess we'll never find out what happened, until one day they write a book many years from now. fairly irrelevant in the context of the current season, but interesting for those who take an interest in the "behind the scenes" politics at the club.

    Wally Downes

The club made several offers to Wally for an out of court settlement, it then went right up to the day with Wally refusing each one, right up to the point of the hearing at which point the club raised the offer which was then accepted by Mr Downes. what ever it was about the sacking the club clearly did not want it to come out.
  25. Watford have sold just over 1000 tickets in advance, with a superb weather forecast of temps up to 27 degrees on the south coast i can see them having 1500 odd at the game should help boost the attendance a bit http://www.watfordfc.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10400~2465591,00.html
