  1. Interesting one, by bowling a no ball you wouldn't neccessarily throw the game, but like Matt Le Tiss claiming to kick the ball out of play for a betting scam (which he never did but sounded good in the book) it shows the game in a bad light. Guess the sentences are good to stop this happening again.
  2. actually thinking about it, when i went there before had to go to the bus station to get the football bus, there was a wetherspoons very close to it which might be a good stop off point for a pint.
  3. ?? and Leeds and Derby fans don't go to away games? more likely they are just better supported than us, don't think we can argue that Leeds certainly are + West Ham in this division, Leeds have the added hindrance of Ken Bates and crazy ticket prices
  4. About as funny as man uniteds songs about hillsborough. Barry is right the shouting of players names was hilarious, my ribs are still hurting from laughing so much.
  5. not compared to the 2,611 that we took to Derby.
  6. 947 http://www.dcfc.co.uk/page/MatchReport/0,,10270~58172,00.html
  7. Just to confirm, last week we took 2,571 TO Crystal Palace midweek in the carling cup. last night the "best fans in the world, aka skates took 1,318 http://www.cpfc.co.uk/page/MatchReport/0,,10323~58207,00.html for a league match only just over half of what we had there.
  8. The opportunities are endless pal, can you imagine all sorts of snacks being used to ridicule the opposition and making them feel stupid? I was in the Itchen yesterday for a change and the Peterborough keeper looked visibly shaken up coming off at the end having been compared to a wotsit. Maybe Fortress St Marys is due to the intimidating fans putting it on a par of playing at the Stade Velodrome Marseille or Galatsaray?
  9. absolutely spot on couldn't have put it better myself, truely dreadful embarrassing support, shouting the players names sounding like a bunch of girls, and the wotsit is by far and away the worst of the lot. It was bad enough having a go at MK Dons left back last year but Peterborough's keeper in an orange kit? was that supposed to be funny? as others havbe pointed out a good song for De Ridder to the tune of Man City's Mario Ballotelli one, but it will never take off at saints as it involves learning more than one verse
  10. Yes.
  11. don't think so , they drew at home to Basle in the champs league
  12. Long may it continue!! I know it feels like tempting fate, but we all know this run will come to an end sometime, maybe even tonight, but the fact is we have already recorded 18 straight home wins that we have had the opportunity to enjoy in our lifetime, it will be something to tell the grandkids about!
  13. i think i need to make friends with a couple of students and get them to pass me on the tickets!! when i was at Reading uni 10 years ago they used to give out free tickets via the Student union for quite a few games, i only took up the offer once as was going to saints games anyway, but know a few went along as it was free and something to do. There is the chance a few will get the bug and start going regularly, but more likely the tickets would be better used going to local schools with people who identify with the city. Most students will already have an affinity with a team, either from their home towns or a "big club"
  14. i don't know either of them, but judging from some of the replies on here yes she should contact them as she would get a much more detailed response as to the effect the bubble trip from saints fans point of view. Amanda, if you read this I am interested in what work the FSF are doing on this? Once you have collected your research what will you be doing then? I am aware the FSF has done some excellent work fighting the fans side where they have been mistreated by clubs / police, and the “watching football is not a crime” campaign
  15. if you are looking online they will not show as available as they are on restricted sale one per season ticket holder, you cannot use that as confirmation it has sold out.
  16. You are basing your decision on LAST YEARS weather forecast? madness, we had train tickets for Hartlrpool that weekend last year and luckily the snow cancelled the trains and we got a full refund, but i wouldn't not book for Donny because of that, you have as much chance of a game being off at any time in November, December, Jan or Feb.
  17. tickets are only on sale to season ticket holders (one per person) up until Friday, if you got two without being a season ticket holder you got very lucky, over 900 of the 2200 allocation was sold on Friday so can't see this making general sale at all. Maybe the ticket office person was confused with Coventry away which is on general sale

    the cortese song

Anyone who has been to Norwich will know that songs sounds quality when they get going bellowing it out, it is their anthem with no mad fast clapping in it, closest we have to that is the slow owts.
  19. It is very sad, and the irony is I don't recognise many of the season ticket waving morons from away games. We all want to see big crowds and good atmosphere at st marys, I just don't get all the stupid singing about plastic fans, pathetic.
  20. let's hope for a repeat of this 4-1 classic win over Boro http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XC_fHf2dXEw i doubt they've forgotten it and will want revenge
  21. can you ask him what type of curry and naan bread is he having? cobra beer?
  22. with your bald head if you grow a beard you'll either look gay or an islamic extremist, good luck!
  23. feel the pride running throught the bones of the Englishman except Gary Neville hahaha
  24. God save our gracious Queen, Long live our noble Queen, God save the Queen! Send her victorious, Happy and Glorious, Long to reign over us; God save the Queen!
  25. wow according to this 900 have already been sold on day 1 of going on sale, i'm sure quite a few will be sold tomorrow before the game, can't see many going on general sale if at all http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2497757,00.html
