Hasn't he f*cking signed yet.

All this soft ground/hard ground configuration is bullsh*t. Soft ground, 6 screw in studs, 2 at the back longer. If really soft put longer studs in. Hard ground, moulded boots, and not that Blade sh*t. Good enough in my day, and we didn't slip like we were playing on ice. If I was Adkins, I'd sort it out.

Masturbation. I do get some funny looks in the ground though. I pay for my ticket, I'll celebrate how I want.

Thanks for the info on Palmeri. Glad he's not the Italian version of that pillock Moose.
-
Wonder if we've given them a deadline?

We did try, but he turned us down. He's lived in Germany all his life, fair enough really. -
Who is Tancredi Palmeri?
-
Would give the option of Yoshida covering the full-backs if they get injured.

Seems like the same approach we had for Gaston, wasted a fair bit of time and caved at the end. I'm not sure we have the luxury of time on this one. Hopefully we can come to a quick agreement, but I won't hold my breath.

I had a pair of New Balance boots, and apart from a pair of Puma Dalglish Gold, they were probably the best boots I ever had. Gloves had to be Uhlsport as well.

We don't look like pushovers any more. A lot of credit for that should go to the management. A couple of decent signings and we should be ok. -
Keepers shouldn't be stable. Think back to Burridge, mad as f*ck.
-
Some of his throws were excellent, and quickly turned defence into attack. His handling errors in the first half were poor. He took his eyes off the ball at the last minute for the cross, it felt like he was trying too hard. But he's no shrinking violet, and he did pretty well after. I reckon he's the best of our 3 keepers. Whether that's actually good enough is another question.

Manager can't have much faith in Jos, otherwise he would have left him in the middle and played Yoshida right back again. Taking Cork out of the midfield, would, in my opinion, be a huge mistake. Getting at them in the middle of the park is our best chance of getting anything out of the game. Let them stroke it about, and they'll make it really hard for us.

Good spot, didn't Moyes play centre- back? Not sure Everton will let him go though. -
Get a few hard tackles in early on and see if they're up for it. Wind Wilshere up, great player but very suspect temperament.
-
I don't think we are playing that system. It looks more to me like a 4 man midfield, with either a front 2 or 1 playing in the hole. It's this system that has made us harder to beat as the full-backs are no longer being left exposed.
-
Surely the fact we are playing top-flight football now makes it easier to keep hold of our decent young players. For the sake of his career, surely Shaw would be better to sign a 4 year deal with us. He's only 17 and his development over the next few years is important to his career. Stay with us for a few more years, then go to a really big club, not settle for Europa Cup football with a club that themselves routinely lose their best players every season.

Read my post again, slowly. -
Alternatively, you could be talking out of your arse.

No way is Shane Given us good as Kevin Davis! -
Everton have a strict wage cap. We might have a chance of getting him if we can blow them out of the water on wages. Personally, I don't think we'll get him. But if we're willing to spend that sort of dough we shouldn't have too much trouble getting someone decent in.

It's a gamble for the selling club to hold out as well. Teams may turn their interests elsewhere, an auction from the start of the window could easily lead to a one horse race at the end of the window with the buying club holding the aces, the player could get injured. Teams like Brum and Cagliari, in the sh*tcart financially, may not want to gamble.

I totally agree. I'm not too bothered by the FA Cup, but I would expect the team to have been strengthened by the time we play Villa.
