Perhaps Di Masturbateo can be the next manager of Notts Forest then, or Reading, or wherever , perhaps AC Milan even if NC ends up there. Mention of Reading as I saw a post on one of their boards asking if NC might be installed there if some mega rich arabs bought them...

I see it more as allowing players to move on, and pursue their playing careers elsewhere. As opposed to a CEO's policy of just leaving them to rot in the reserves for no good reason other than he had the power to do so. Perhaps KL has allowed a more compassionate way of dealing with players who are surplus to our needs.

how is that "breaking news" ? It has been widely touted for about 24 hours, and Italian reports as referred to in this forum, have been saying its nearing completion for a few hours.
-
is he ?
-
Not another Rocketswannie special then ?
-
Quite a few, me included. picked up on that. New lucky tie ?
-
Looked very relaxed.

new lucky tie ? Good interview.

Okay, fair point Bexy and Minsk, I should have phrased it differently : we only score once whilst we are dominating for long periods of the match (as in the First half).
-
Good result though - who wouldn't have accepted that pre-kick off, and even more so when we went 2-1 down ? Usual problems though - dominate and only score once. We're just too wasteful.

Trouble is someone who is a 'chance taker' , probably does not also offer the mobility and running attributes that are needed for our style of play. I've often thought that Billy Sharpe would have been worth a run for his goalpoaching etc, he falls short on the other requirements.
-
I've been saying that for about 12months.. ..but won't complain if he scores an overhead as he once did for his previous club.
-
Aren't you following the match then ?

Torquay with another game in hand after tonight as well...

I meant Channon left before CN returned as manager
-
Channon had left Saints a couple of seasons before CN came in.

In hindsight I feel sorry for Chris Nichol for his time as manager, and the fact he never really had a real opportunity again. Have to admit that at the time I saw CN as being a mediocre manager, and by the time he left we were appearing to stagnate. But little did I realise it could get so horribly worse... Following Lawrie was an impossible task, both on and off the pitch as CN did not inspire confidence in how he appeared with the media. The Mark Dennis episode lost him a lot of support as well. We did however play some exciting stuff for a year with him, 89-90, with the emergence of Merrington's youth team. Don't agree he was more negative than Branfoot, Dave Jones etc. I think the Channon view stems from when they were players, and did not get on. (At the time CN was manager, I think Channon played the MLT role to Nichol's Cortese, forever berating him to the press.).

f... there's a name from the past !

Just hope there's no 'backlash' from a defeat at the Etihad then... fortnight before the League Cup final as well ( same week as a replay presumably as well). Winnable. We are due to beat them, this is it...

Is Mandaric still chairman there ? Just to a bit of spice to it.
-
Only if you are able to get a ticket though...neither will be a large allocation I'm assuming so unlikely to reach general sale to members
-
Wonder if the Arab owners would just allow NC a licence to run the club however he sees fit, without them taking an active close interest ?
-
Don't think Yeovil are quite good enough to put 6 past us, but with your team including Hooiveld (O.G), Fox, in defence and Gazzaniga in goal it might be worth an outside bet

Youngest badger & I have just demolished our (lucky) full English breakfast before leaving from Gloucestershire - not as sunny as Devon. Took me back to 1976, as a youngster I think my Mum fuelled me for every round - bar Bradford away - on a fully cooked breakfast. Bit older and mindful of cholesterol I have vowed to limit these now to FA Cup days only. Anyway I'll settle for a 3-1 Saints. Like Ottery I suspect Gallagher to play some part.
