  1. Very few I believe. Especially the first two Mrs Osvaldo's/ mothers of his kids. But of course that might only be a vicious internet rumour.
  2. bowler hat ?
  3. Christ, I thought that only happened to us.
  4. Would the premiership be a better place if Millwall took their place ?
  5. Unable to get a ticket today, so can't add to the post match debate but: grossly unfair in my view. Fulham are probably the least offensive London club and I hope they stay up, although doubt they will. They are after all living in the shadow of Chelsea, and have a modesty about them in accepting that, unlike the yappy plebs who follow QPR for instance.
  6. And held it for a record seven years don't forget. Courtesy of Mr A. Hitler. Several million perished during those seven years, but to the current generation of skates, the Cup was worth it, whatever the cost.
  7. Absurd - but with Italian owners coming in, I'd expect a change of manager even if at the end of the season. Wonder if the new owners are looking for a CEO with Italian connections.
  8. ill
  9. Two reasons, give him a rest, and also bring VW back to match fitness gradually. There was quite an outcry when Cork, and Yoshida returned and were not immediately up to the pace required, so it seems a reasonable step to take.
  10. Noticed Wanyama booked. Is he close to a suspension ?
  11. I go along with much of Chewy's thoughts. In summary - as before, we're okay providing no bastard gets injured.
  12. A critical word you missed out, David. The reverse of that is IF he goes to the World Cup and has a strop, head butts a linesman, or a dressing room rumpus occurs, then no sensible f^cker will touch him with a barge pole. This might seem far fetched, but with him and Ballotelli in the same dressing room, fireworks are quite possible.
  13. Which will match the Osvaldo contribution, at about £12m less cost of course. In the past Saints fans have been fairly tolerant of new starters, and youngsters. A Wolves supporting relative commented on this to me years ago, having seen Trevor Hebbard having a two-left feet sort of stinker as a youngster at The Dell. He was impressed that The Dell crowd - and perhaps that's the difference - stuck with him, whereas irrespective of age the Molineaux crowd would have been on the players back in ten minutes. Perhaps times, and the crowds expectations have changed.
  14. I've seen this comparison made a few times, and although intended as a compliment it is a little unfair on Gallagher as I think he also brings a degree of power and pace with his game that Crouch lacked. Seeing him against Yeovil he reminded me more of a James Beattie in that respect.
  15. Ditto. As John B later says, crucial goals. Several higher profile, and more expensive signings have contributed significantly less in their time with us, Dixon, Speedie, Mark Hughes, immediately spring to mind. Then there is Agustin Delgado ? Pound for pound Forte might represent better value at the moment than one Pablo Osvaldo. Dixon & Speedie in particular , must be nearly the worst bits of business the club has ever done, whose contribution to the success of Saints amounts to the square root of f^ck all Don't even get me started on Lee Todd, Kleber Chala, Bleidilis, etc. Plus Ali Dia, and the perpetual waster that was Tommy Forecast.
  16. Hope we keep 'the class of 2014' together for as long as they kept theirs together.

    Well

Reply I received earlier in referring to continuity at the club: Would this not also be applicable here ?
  19. CEO - temporary sell/loan- players who were clearly surplus to our plans suspend - hardly surprising by all accounts, and something endorsed by, possibly at the instigation of both the playing squad and manager loan - see 'suspend' above if referring to Osvaldo, release - allow players to pursue a playing career elsewhere what is there to complain about ? Strikes me that you're complaining for the sake of it.
  20. less of a c6nt than Gus in our rise up the leagues, but couldn't take to the bloke.
  21. Thought our scout in Ottery might have been a bit wiser to that one, and directed him along the coast.
  22. Gallagher's from down your way isn't he ? Although we signed him from Plymouth I read somewhere he's from Exeter. Has there been much interest in his rise down there ? No need to rush to answer - finish the hoovering first if you wish !
  23. technicolour ...
  24. Can she play centre-half ?
