  1. Let's hope this is stil considered something to sing about after the Stoke game as well.
  2. I take no satisfaction from this either, if this is directed at my earlier reply, but I feel this might have been avoided. Christ on a bike, it was hard enough returning to this league.
  3. Glad to hear North London is still the cesspit it always was.
  4. But its not hindsight is it ? Many said this at the time.
  5. Who ? As I've said as well, we've been too busy talking about, and looking at next season - top six, top four, Italian International CB's - to concentrate on the simple matter of securing our place in this division for next season. Too many have believed their own publicity, too soon.
  6. So what was the excuse last week against WBA ?
  7. It will be no surprise to me if he is not at the helm even if we stay up, either on the last day or reach mid-table comfort next weekend. No rumours or suggestions heard, but just a gut feeling.
  8. We need an end product from him, sadly lacking for too long.
  9. I see it the other way round to be honest. MP has had a short term impact, and I hope it continues in to next season. Long term however I simply don't think MP will be here 'long term' , he'll be back to Spain if the right offer comes up, (not sure I'd blame him either, language etc), or NC will get irritable and want to 'move on to the next level' etc. Over 3-5 years I'd have preferred sticking with NA, as I think the club would progress with stability (as Everton under Moyes) rather than having two or three management upheavals in that period. Don't expect too many to agree as they've bought into the 'dream project' etc.
  10. I agree that what NA might have achieved is entirely hypothetical, but after the appalling WBA show last week, and our slide back towards danger , I still question the wisdom of sacking NA, and wonder if we have moved as far forward as some, including the media, want to portray.
  11. Perhaps Cortese has lined him up already to take us to the 'next level'.
  12. Inevitable outcome, played well didn't capitalise on our chances, what do you expect ? Too many think we're safe already, probably the manager as well, all talking "great future, blah, blah, blah ..." , without securing phase one - safety. He is one of our most frustrating players. Sometimes brilliant in his approach, but too often runs himself into trouble or hits it tamely at the GK. And what about the 'Pochettino effect' now, as we slide back into the mix ?
  13. I don't begrudge him celebrating his goal. But I do begrudge him his goal ; f'kin 'monkey-headed' c^nt. (Just to add, tremendous player who has otherwise always spoken well of SFC and his time here).
  14. Didn't take our chances, criminal at this level.
  15. Really ? We could still go into the last game of the season needing something to stay up the way things are panning out.
  16. I can't see that one happening, too many bigger clubs in the market for him.
  17. Totally agree with you regarding silence rather the applause. Doubt the club will have anything though.
  18. Is he playing his joker on this case ?
  19. Xavi. Must be bored at Barcelona these days.
  20. Will black and gold stripes do for you ?
  21. Our last signing from Belgrade was pretty exceptional, so if this bloke could be half as good that gets my vote.
  22. That then is quite a promising update.
  23. or just pocket the £10m, and bring Hammond back ? Sorted.
  24. But wasn't it also rumoured that he preferred a move to Juventus or AC Milan ? In which case its more a matter of hoping we are still on his radar.
  25. Sad news, that he has gone, but after such a cruel illness, he is at last at rest. Always a solid and reliable performer who took his chance in the top flight well after a long wait, and for a few seasons never looked out of place. Only ever heard good things about him off the pitch as well.
