Won't be Saints if we move from the Antelope Ground. IMHO of course.
-
It has pride of place on my bookshelf !
-
Isn't this from a song ?
-
Not sad at all, well not with my generation it isn't, its just a continuation of my Saints education ! However I do notice my children's eyes glazing over a bit if I reminisce to much ...Channon, Osgood - he signed one of their autograph books a few months before he died - are okay, Stokes is committed to the history books, but some of the others including Hugh Fisher and the great Alehouse team have yet to register with them, perhaps they never will. The name Charlie Wayman was often quoted at me, along with one or two others. Shame about Forsyth's injury, I remember Gurr's injury being cut short by injury when great things were expected.
-
Only if he is out of contract and free agent.
-
I bow to your greater experience here , David. As a relatively younger supporter, still only in my 50's, both Reynolds and Hollowbread precede my Saints supporting days by a fraction. Gurr & Martin were the earliest incumbents I recall, although at that time older relatives still brought up the name of Campbell Forsyth regularly.

Isn't Lloris' disatisfaction only due to limited chances to play ? Having spent a few £m on him, I suspect AVB will want to justify the signing and promote his signing though, so Friedel might be sacrificed. Pity that we can only sign him in Jan, unless Spurs agree to write off his contact now , which is unlikely. We can only get a loan gk as an emergency, and saying one is too youthful and the other two are crap at this level does not constitute an emergency. Anyway, not sur about this, we don't have a good track record signing goalkeepers from Spurs do we ? (only joking Friedel is still a class act).

Our second cup final win in 124 years. Therefore I propose a minutes aplause, starting in the 124th minute.
-
I think warm aplause is in order, he did change us from a losing mentality, and signed several players who were instrumental in our rise to the premiership.
-
Same nonsense used to be trotted out about Benali week after week. Although no one ever doubted his commitment he was often a liability in defence. As for the original question, it is becoming clear that we have three gk's, none of whom can be relied upon. KD - great sevant, but not up to it , PG - good prospect, not yet ready, and yesterday's highlighting of his shortcomings on MOTD won't help his confidence, AB - who was highly rated once upon a time but overweight, out of condition, throw in the 'bottle incident' , and you have to wonder what is left. Hope one of them grasps the opportunity. If not, add GK to our shopping list in January.

Personally, I don't think this is evidence of a split in the dressing room harmony. It may however be sufficient for MLT to run a "Rickie Lambert - or possibly even Jason Puncheon - is not a very popular human being " type of story.
-
For that alone, he earns legendary status.. Seriously though, good player under utilised by us or not suited to the English game ? A bit of rarity in that his international form exceeds club level.
-
When is this introduced ?
-
Neil Maddison - tipped as the 'new Bryan Robson'.
-
Wilfred Zaha - Crystal Palace (linked in The Sun)
Badger replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
Definitely cross him off the list now. -
Reuben Agboola never reached the heights that he seemed destined for. He made his debut alongside Danny Wallace aged 17 at Old Trafford, was composed in defence and used the ball well. Playing alongside Mark Wright it seemed nly a matter of time before he got an internatinal call up.
-
Gazzaniga, no question. KD is not a premiership goalkeeper, and the porker Boruc has shown nothing to indicate he should be playing for anything other than a pub team during his time with us.
-
I had not previously considered this, but yes it certainly looks a young side, with exceptions of RL & Fonte. This looks younger than the team Chris Nichol regularly fielded c 1989, but one significant difference is that this lot don't have a Jimmy Case to lead them on the field. As for what happens next, my big fear is that if we do go down, most of them p!ss off somewhere else.
-
But that was whe he played for us.
-
Never seen that phrase in a Book Review , Bearsy. Will have to remember it.
-
Why not ? Seven days to go yet.
-
Slight correction needed:
-
Three goalkeepers then, none of whom we can rely on.Great. I'd stick with Gazzaniga though personally.
-
I'll be very disappointed if Lambert or Gazzaniga are not in the starting line up. Be interesting if NA starts Shaw at LB, but I expect he will go with the more experienced, safer, option of Fox.
