  1. I'm sure he is older than 22. edit: checked Exeter site,he is 22.I was mistaking him for their other centre half Taylor.
  2. Ditto.Think we should be aiming for better.
  3. Had McSheffrey expected the paparazzi to be out in force he would have put his dentures in.
  4. Well said. I was also embarrassed by the comments of a knob posting on a Palace forum over the signing of Fonte."We'll be in the prem in 3 years...you'll be in administration blah , blah..". Having lived through Saints nearly disapearing I don't think administration of another club is something to gloat over (possibly with one exception of course, but even then there are limits !). The responding Palace fan then launched into a halfbaked 'f'in scummers ' type of post.I know Palace fans can seem like a jumped up bunch of spastics sometimes, basking in the fact they are or think they are a team from the capital, but even so I thought the Saints fan posting there was damaging the image of the club and its fans. Like you I remember how we were always a popular club for the way we were run -in pre Lowe days - and more importantly for being relatively successful by doing things the right way. I'm enjoying the Liebherr era and pleased we have some serious ££ but lets remember our roots.
  5. I don't think it is quite as straightforward as to state they "would be... "fact". Certainly in theory they should work well together and seem a perfect combination. However I also remember when Channon and Osgood were the best strike force in the old second division ( "fact") and should have had no difficulty in ripping that division to shreds.Unfortunately they didn't bond as quickly or as well as we had hoped,or the media expected.
  6. Whereas in a Hampshire dialect it sounded more like 'useless c^nt'.
  7. More likely a website complete with its own forum to cater for such mass interest.
  8. Nowhere near the standard of Anders Svennson's, or Mario Licka's 'doris' though.
  9. I'm openminded about this to be honest.Yes he'd potentially be a major signing for us in L1 based on all the reports read, but personally I'd prefer Stock. Having said that still don't believe Stock is a likely signing for us.
  10. Jonathon Woss now on Wadio Solent ?
  11. I picked up our dogs crap this morning and popped it into a poo bag.Kept the hands warm.
  12. Unless he is out of contract in the summer or has expressed a desire to leave. Not that I believe it to be true or likely either.
  13. Badger

    Snow

    and into Glos.
  14. Hard to believe that a player Doncaster were trying to hold onto in the summer, with Premiership clubs interested, would now drop to L1 even allowing for his Winchester connections.
  15. ditto
  16. He looks good and yes HCDAJFU ,but TINFC (there is no f'kin chance).
  17. That is probably the sort of video evidence we used to decide on signing Delgado,Chala, and 'the Torpedo'.
  18. Not an overwhelming vote of confidence from their fans is it ? One extract caught my eye, Do we need an attacking mf,as we have Lallana and Schneiderlin as creative players, its probably a right sided mf we lack,or a good ballwinner and motivator (an Alan Ball or Jimmy Case type). Lines is young so no reason AP and Wilkins can't develop his game.If we don't go up this season then we'll probably see AL and/or MS leave so good planning ahead perhaps ?
  19. I'd forgotten about that, which of course explains why they were so hated by most clubs around that time.Add the memory of that slimey kerb crawler in white shoes dancing on the pitch at Maine Road to complete the picture. Wasn't there a fanzine or record at the time "An irrational hatred of Luton" ?
  20. The older brother is over 30 whereas Elliot Ward is 24 and has his best years ahead of him.Hopefully AP is bringing in some players to build for the future as well as the experience of Jaidi etc.
  21. On reading of this at first I assumed Saints fans were doing it to take the p!ss out of them being a hotbed for terrorists. Even worse it seems their neanderthal support tries to identify with their 'terrorist community'.What a bunch of retards.
  22. If anyone remembers going to Luton in the 80's when they were in their pomp, then you will recall it was a cesspit of a ground surrounded by a cesspit of an area more suited to the Indian sub-continent than europe. Their fans - goaded by that curly headed spastic Foster - were equally odious. Whilst you always feel for genuine fans who are disadvantaged by the clubs misdemeanours - possibly excluding the skates of course - memories of the nasty little club Luton were all those years ago meant I couldn't give a monkeys about their fall into oblivion out of the league.
  23. I suspect Ward to be the more likely target.
  24. What did Craddock play like for Luton ? Any likelihood we will renew alleged interest?
  25. He has been a key to their rise over the last few seasons but at nearly 28 this is is the highest level he has played at in his career.Although the same could of course be said for Lambert. His age would seem against him but anyone remember Matt Elliott, almost signed by Souness for Saints but went to Leicester instead,at about the same age and was outstanding for them in the prem for the next 5 or 6 seasons ? (Good user name by the way).
