  1. Shame.Probably the most proven striker we could hope for.
  2. Perhaps Lee Barnard can put him under his protective wing to keep him on the straight and narrow then. Or a bit of counselling from Mark Dennis
  3. I can see some mileage in the Madine rumour. He certainly appears to fill the 'good prospect with seasons ahead of him' to fit the stated criteria.Although of course we need someone to deliver in the ' here and now' rather than cultivate a player for two seasons before selling on.
  4. Its her garden,or at least she likes to think of it as such, so she has a bit more licence to take a dump here if she does not get a walk early enough.
  5. Cats are generally nasty little bastards who used to delight in sh!tting in my garden. That was before our border collie arrived and now thankfully she does a good job in seeing them off.

  7. For whatever reason though Puncheon simply has not really wanted to be here this season.
  8. rigor mortis
  9. This is probably it, in a nutshell. Le Tiss was a demi-God as a player in my lifetime of watching Saints, only Channon can share this status in my years. But MLT's involvement in the Pinnacle fiasco really tarnishes his image. Watching some MLT clips on Youtube yesterday, pure genius with a ball.I'd like to remember him for that rather than now bleating about "what might have been".

    Question?

A variation on the idea of Turkey and "stuffing" I suppose.
  11. Depends how(if) we strengthen the squad in January in my view.
  12. Why is it not working ? If it has just broken down then failure of the boiler itself would not be covered under a buildings policy. For alternative accomodation the house has to be "uninhabitable", not just uncomfortable or inconvenient.
  13. No doubt a fiver out of Sue Barker's handbag, and Gabby's mobile phone..
  14. Funds were eventually available to buy "Lambert and 1 or 2 others", but it still did not buy the promotion. As for Shearer, and especially Dowie, it looks as if we had a lucky escape.
  15. As ever it might just depend on clauses in their contract, that the club have to let the player know of any offer above a certain amount,or from a Premiership club. Even if the club are under no obligation to notify the player then it is naive to assume the player's agent and player will not be aware of the interest. Then of course we are in the "do we want to keep a disgruntled player" territory and all that goes with it.

  17. Pugh Fisher, scorer of a never to be forgotten goal v Villa Jan 1976.
  18. I had a crafty peak of a Scun forum yesterday, and the rumour on there is that Forest were keen on him and had made a £400,000 bid for January. A Forest fan asked about him and general concensus was - like most wingers - good on his day, but goes 'missing' too often.

  20. Has returned to Leicester after a month at Scun. http://www.s****horpe-united.co.uk/page/News/0,,10442~2243776,00.html
  21. As many are again finding out.
  22. I have a recollection of some bizarre statistic that we did not lose an away match during the month of December from 1975 - 84 or similar.
  23. Mitchell, there's a reliable source, I'm sure we can rely on his word. Not a man to buy a second car from.If he says worth a lot more than £200,000 then we should get him for £150,000
  24. I think he only did that once to my knowledge before he arrived in our "building". I'm not so sure he has developed his own brand so much as going on to an "auto mode" when interviewed.
  25. I assume that is intentionally written in postmatch managerspeak. If not, could you not cram a couple more cliches in there ?
