  1. Badger

    Fairford 2009

Probably driving past there on the way to the Ajax match.
  2. Poyet would be behind KK,WGS and Tisdale in my preferences but thereafter I think he's a good shout as a young knowlegeable manager with potential.
  3. Oakley is a good suggestion out of this field of candidates.
  4. BRILLLLLLLL !!! :smt044 Hope their rich Arab can buy a new set of shirts etc..
  5. Disaster at both Sheff Weds and Derby,so his record is not as unblemished as people think.Personally I can't stand the fat scouse b^stard and wouldn't want him at Saints.
  6. We seem to have a number of candidates falling into this category though,Coppell and Curbishley both seem devoid of personality.Adams, not that I would even consider him a contender is just a moron.
  7. Agree. That was the best individual goal ever. Best team goal was Channon's after the 17 passes V Liverpool c1982.
  8. Its probably too late for me to engage in a long debate, but do you think that Jurgen Klinsmann ,for the sake of an example, would be able and prepared to do battle in our current league ? We need someone who can tackle the pitfalls of Div One.Passport may not be material to this, but their experience of the challenge and lower league ahead are important.
  9. as in "blessed " are those who buy the Saints, or "it's not over till the fat bastard sings ?".
  10. Jacksons Farm ? Thats the link some have been looking for.Equestrian centre of the South. It will be home to the Swiss Equestrian team in 2012.
  11. Bulle,Dubai ? Easy mistake to make I'm sure.
  12. Partly due to the spelling error in translation I misread that as 'indecently:eek: he is the uncle of...' Don't suppose we know when she and her horse are coming to visit yet do we ?
  13. Does he live in Bulle ? Another article states Dubai. Makes you feel proud !
  14. Can someone please expand on this possibility for the benefit of us exiles ?
  15. I am just delighted he has purchased the club. If his beliefs and values were instrumental in influencing this and enhance the future of our club then better still. But really this is a matter solely for ML. I am also delighted the joker wheeled out by Pinnacle has not been able to cause further embarassment for the club.
  16. In fairness to GM the notion of SFC's church roots and background being an attraction was mooted in The Times.
  17. Bit of a hornets nest you might have stirred up there GM. Bound to upset someone in these times. Actually,I doubt it made one iota of difference to ML that the pinnacle money was said to be coming from the London jewish community. He either wanted to buy the club or didn't.
  18. We could do with an ice hockey team and stadium if they want a wish list to work from.
  19. An interesting post kpt and question kpt.But are we not in danger of perhaps looking for something sinister and devious in the background when hopefully there is nothing to worry about. I fear that after the trauma we have all been through as Saints fans over the last 5/6 seasons we have thanks to Lowe,Wilde,Dulieu and Hone been conditioned that way. So unless anyone can unearth a direct link between Banque Heritage and W.H Ireland lets just celebrate the club is back out of its comatosed condition and ready to start the lomg haul back.
  20. If the Action Man resembled Tony Adams there would have been no point even taking the bastard out of the box.
  21. Depend who is selecting, and how they are going about the process. It seems unlikely that Markus Liebherr will deploy part of the Mali Group HR dept. to undertake the process you have described and might be reguarded as standard in business or industry. Its more likely that Oldknow, and Cortese are drawing up a shortlist to present to ML.As Cortese has not been in the UK with a football club that long we might be dependant on Oldknow's knowledge, experience and judgement here.Let us hope he has canvassed some views from MLT ! Finally, and a small point, can we go back to being supporters rather than "customers" now that Lowe has gone ?
  22. Yes to some extent it could. However I think it less likely as Strachan and Keegan have a tremendous enthusiasm for the game. Also I think both would reject the job if they were not able to fully commit to it.For the same reason they have walked away from posts.Coppell and Curbishley strike me as characters who are likely to 'do a Harry' ,accept the job then regret it and sulk about it whilst in position.
  23. ditto. Infact after KK,and possibly WGS he would be my preferred candidate.
  24. Cotterill has made some poor career moves and paid the price. He was very much in the ascendency at Cheltenham(three promotions and an FA Trophy win).He left for Stoke which seemed a good step up but walked out after only 3or4 months to join Wilkinson at Sunderland.Disaster. He struggled to get back into the game, and didn't set the game alight at Burnley with limited resources. I have followed Cotterill's career with interest after Chelt Town. His early success here marked him out as one for the future. But it was pointed out to me on this board that 5 years after leaving Wycombe,O'Neill was at Celtic in the Champions League, where is Cotterill 5 years after Chelt.? It demonstrates that managers do not remain in the 'highly sought after' category for too long.DFerguson and Tisdale are wise to be cautious in their next move.
