Are they not holding a candlelit vigil tonight at Liverpool Cathedral in memory of the beach ball ? Or perhaps they can blame the Sunderland stewards or Police for opening the turnstyle the little retard came through.
-
Yes,vivid memories of that.Tell it to my kids now and they don't believe me.
-
That was also my understanding of events. When he signed I think someone put a link to a PNE forum where this was widely talked of,to the point that Trotman would not be playing for Irvine again.
-
On reflection you might be right. Any advances on 1989 ?
-
Actually you are correct. Its not Moulineux. As much as I detest Everton I don't think they have fallen out the league yet.
-
Andy Townsend is probably the last one to make it as a first team regular. Although Gittens is more recent. Paul Moody ? Never a regular.
-
Disappointing that they have scraped in as you know they will regroup and turn it round in time to be a force in the finals. Anyone see the photo of Dago Maradona on the BBC site ? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/internationals/8308103.stm Any similarity with Ken Dodd is purely coincidental.

From my childhood I always remember the 'Strong Country' signs on the road when travelling down to visit relatives. From later years I recall many pubs, especially the Eldridge Pope ones, and of course The Juniper Berry on a trawl through town. And of course ice hockey watching the Vikings.

Remember that place ! There was one bar, a 'snug' I think,at the front that was smaller than a living room.

I hope he does well and builds a successful career. This was the ideal level for him to start at,rather than being thrown in at the deep end with us on a downward spiral .
-
-15,but they had cleared that deficit in about 6 games.
-
So might I.Did you go to the Weymouth tie ? Frightening prospect but we are only two rounds from the possibility of Saints facing Totton,Eastleigh or even Bishops Cleeve.
-
I agree with you but he has been considered by many (wrongly in my view) as a journeyman and a bit of a failure because of his short stints at Bristol City and then Blackburn.
-
As you say,it is "bizarre".An arab employing a jew as the saviour of the club A friend of Fialka's perhaps ? If Peter Storrie manages to keep a lid on this then clearly he has missed his true calling and should be redeployed as an EU middle-east peace envoy.

Surely we should just borrow (plagiarise) from the tune on Youtube. Anyone have a clue what this music is ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bnb_LvF1mkY

Agree that this trophy provides an opportunity for a great day out.The chance to take the 'young badgers' to Wembley to watch their team there is a great possibility also. That will give them some edge over the glory seeking saps at their school who 'support' the mancs etc. I've seen Saints on each of their four visits to Wembley (F.A Cup,Charity Shield,League Cup,and The Zeta Jones Cup) but couldn't go to Totton V Truro due to falling ill on the day of the final. So this would be a good chance. Lets not forget though there are some formidable obstacles in our way though.Bournemouth away for instance ?

I think this name was first mooted a week or so back on here.
-
Pompey could sell us theirs cheaply. Maybe not...
-
Injured for a few weeks I thought.Just the type of signing we used to make. I expect the new striker will be a small mobile player rather than someone like Vokes who has been suggested on here.Shame as I think a Lamber - Vokes combination would be hard for a defence to control.
-
Put this in context.Someone posts a comment and it is "infiltration" and a "recruitment drive" ? This is just hysteria on the part of the Echo, either that or a desperate attempt to make a story where one does not really exist.
-
Vokes and/or Craddock would be my preferences as strikers on loan.
-
Very good article. Along with the speculation as to who emailed Cortese,I was also intrigued by : I wonder if the source was Coppell.
-
Which probably coincides with my earlier comment about "Chicken George MkII".
-
In many ways I am more fearful it might be 'Chicken George' MkII, great pace, some control but difficulty in combining the two.But never mind he can become a cult hero for ( his dance) comedy value.Hope I am wrong. I will go with Bungle's fairminded and reasonable approach for the timebeing.
