There are several reasons people are more inclined to see Rohl as a better option (as well as his links with Ralph): He has improved his current club from relegation certainties to play off contenders, with limited funding. RM saw no improvement at his clubs. Since leaving he’s been at Bayern Munich, and the German national team ( even if only as assistant to Flick). But more impressive than MK Dons and Swansea. He isn’t wedded to possession football for the sake of it. Finally, he doesn’t come across as an egotistical bellend.

Spurs signed a Czech international GK in the last window. Can’t see them buying another (unless he’s crap over then next few weeks). Yes, we seem to have wavered on the strategy haven’t we ? We’ve gone through the Shields/Wilcox obsession with Man City juniors, to buying up crap from the periphery of Sheff Utd’s relegation squad. Not sure where Spors fits into the framework, recruitment or more. Ideally I’d like to see a sound football person (if such a thing exists) on the board to provide and maintain direction.
