Exactly the point , although it seems to have gone over others heads. They’re comparing a keeper that has only just broken through , with two that were regular starters. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Didn’t Lambert bully Clyne in the championship at Sellhurst Park, if my memory serves, he pulled onto him time and time again Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

They didn’t go back to being second choice as you said yourself, they were playing regular football, he wasn’t. Why after finally establishing himself as a number 1 would he want to go back as a number 2. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

If it was Joey Barton or Balotelli with this stupid tattoo all the linekars of the world wouldn't be defending it. It's pretty pathetic and tasteless if you ask me, but it gives people a chance to have a dig at the press. I don't buy this "my dad was shot" pony. If he died of a OD is a syringe tattoo a great tribute? "I'm never going to touch drugs, and here's my tattoo of Keith Richards to show that".

Just re read what you've written and then think about it for a minute. You do realise that even under the best coaches, players go backwards or lose form , don't you. You're claiming FF listens to Watson, but McCarthy doesn't . You're just twisting things to justify your opinion. I could say FF doesn't listen to Watson, but McCarthy does, which is why McCarthy has improved and FF has gone backwards. I won't say that because I'm not a ****ing idiot, and like you I'm not close enough to the club to make that judgement. You can't however, blame him for FF without crediting him for McCarthy. Obvious? When was the last time a keeper was player of the season? Oh no, sorry I forgot, his coaching had nothing to do with it. He coached FF, but not McCarthy. Watson out Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

We all know what it'll take for blokes to watch it but unfortunately political correctness will get in the way. The propblem chick football has it tries to pretend it's legitimate elite sport. Like somehow the top bird that plays it is as deserving of the national stage as Harry Kane or Wayne Roony. Tennis, athletics and swimming are amongst those sports that pull it off (no pun intended) but football doesn't, because they're so hopeless at it. They should be changing and amending their game, thinking out of the box. Look at volley ball. They've devoloped it and changes it from a boring blokes game to an exciting sport. It's popular, probably more so than the blokes game. The birds who run their football should think out of the box a bit. Just trying to play a blokes sport won't work. Maybe a futsol type small sided game, no tackling, under head height etc. As well a few other things that are probably better left under the banner of "promoting the game" on here, as I don't want to be portrayed as a sexist dinosaur

Are any of them fit. They could have a quick kick around at half time or even participate in the relay. If Kenzie presented the winners with their prizes I might even stay in my seat, provided her microphone was switched off

Somebody needs to highlight the particular problems and hypocrisy surround Islam, the media and the British establishment, but the problem is It shouldn’t be a moron. Robinson makes it way too easy to be dismissed as a racist bigot, probably because he is one. Therefore any valid points around censorship , and the overindulgence of that medieval culture is easy to dismiss. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

From all accounts he was average in the reserves ( or what ever it’s called nowadays). He also has improved as the weeks went on, although how much of that is coaching and how much is confidence and regular games is debatable. You just can’t pin one keepers decline down to poor coaching, whilst ignoring the improvement in the other, unless you’ve got an agenda. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

The ones from Liverpool who go to the games are some of the most reasonable and knowledgeable I’ve met in 40 odd years of supporting Saints. There’s certainly more bias and general cluelessness at St Mary’s than there is amongst that group. Due to their success & the “history“ surrounding the club, they’ve inherited a vast number of idiots from around the country, probably the children of my generation, as we started watching the game when their success started. There’s also a lot from the surrounding areas, who aren’t really scousers at all, more woolly backs. It’s a great city with great people in, whether red or blue they’re a pleasure to talk football with. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

The whole game gave a fascinating insight into the modern game. Fantastic skills, and excitement but the culture of the game is being lost. The commentary creaming themselves over VvD, yet never acknowledging his horrendous behaviour and unprofessionalism towards us. Ronaldo hinting that he was leaving in an interview straight after the game was completely classless. He didn't like the fact Bale was going to get the headlines, so had to make it about him. Finally all YNWA stuff shown as complete pony. Say what you like about Sir Alex, and he was a ruthless barsteward, but he'd have been over consoling that keeper as soon as it ended, as would have Gary Neville and others schooled under Fergie. The self pity and selfish behaviour of the Liverpool and staff towards that lad was shocking. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What a ****ing clown. Can you imagine Shanks or Bob Paisley being like this after a win, let alone a defeat. http:// https://mobile.twitter.com/oliver__bond/status/1000705656507322368 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

You’d think so, but Klopp seems to have a blind spot when it comes to keepers. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Them ****s have left that poor keeper on his own. Real Madrid players consoling him at the end of game, Liverpool players too concerned about themselves Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Klopp deserves some stick, but the press love him so much they’ll lay off him. Everybody knows both their keepers are substandard, but he doesn’t address it Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

**** sake. McCarthy isn’t anything special. Why are people posting like he’s the great young thing. He’s just a competent premier league keeper. No way is he a top 4 player at the moment Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Who signs off the wages, transfer budget and managerial appointments. Is Les Reed answerable to anyone, or is his the final say. Until you know the answers to those questions it's hard to apportion blame. It could be that Reed wants Hughes, thinks we should pay him what he wants, but somebody higher up the food chain disagrees and won't cough up. It could be that Reed doesn't really want Hughes so is putting obstacles in his way. Unless you know the budget and responsibilities Reed has it's pretty hard to judge Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
-
The problem for me is that people don’t know Les’ remit. If we accept this new narrative that the new manager can only spend what he generates , did that come from the owner, or the 3 “imbeciles “. Les is a football man, there’s not 1 football man who doesn’t want to spend more money, so I’d imagine it came from above him. Les’ remit could be to go out and get the best manager possible under xyz conditions. Unless or until I know the conditions Les is forced to work under, I’m reluctant to slag him off. Clearly if a decent salary, transfer budget is in his gift and he’s dicking about, then he deserves all the clog he gets. However, it could be that Gao has given him a horrendous hospital pass and he’s trying to get a decent manager to accept that. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

If Hughes doesn't want to work within the framework and budgets decided by his bosses, **** him, there's plenty that will. Thanks for the 8 games, don't let the door bang your arse on the way out. Personally, I'd have thought he'd be begging us to take him on, he was pretty much washed up as a top flight manager until we throw him a life line. What other club is going to take him. Enjoy your break until Jan time when someone in the shiete may give you another chance. I would prefer Hughes because I think he deserves it and also it'll give us some stability . But it's not exactly the end of the world if we have to look elsewhere. People wetting their knickers because Mark Hughes doesn't want to manage us, **** me, have we sunk that low.
