  2. Doesn’t time fly. Who’d have thought Euro 2000 was 30 years ago. If beating Germany in tournament footballs the criteria, let’s bring KK back to Saints Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. He left Watford because he wanted to go to Everton and had also told 3 of the players he wanted them to follow him. Watford sacked him because of the disruption they felt the Everton interest had caused. That was told to me by a coach at another premier league set up, where my nephew is involved. Also told he will replace Fat Sam in the summer. However I’m not dissing SKD’s info because things change. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Im beginning to think the only thing it can be is we have our ideal replacement lined up, who is willing to join no matter which league we are in, but he can’t or won’t start until the summer. Nothing else makes sense Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. We’ve more chance of picking up home points with him gone. The atmosphere will improve whoever replaces him. My view is there’s 3 types of appointment we can make. 1) Short term end of season, then thanks goodbye. Players pick up on that and our lazy arrogant twts particularly. If you’ve got the personality or standing in the game, a Hiddick or Benetez you can get away with it, but if not the players will take the ****. 2) Short term, keep us up and the jobs yours. Problem with that is you’re sometimes lumbered with someone totally unsuitable long term. Everton-Fat Sam, springs to mind. 3) The man we want, regardless of what division we’re in. Problem with this option is he maybe in a job or unwilling to join at this stage of season. It’s a delicate balancing act, but if it was me I’d get Mark Hughes or someone similar, tell them the gigs there’s if we stay up. Then ruthlessly bin him for my preferred option in the summer if he does keep us up. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Nick Ferrari brought it up on LBC this morning, said its assault and he should be treated as a fan would caught doing it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. What a ****. Doubt if he’ll survive that. The bloke on the phone is a complete twt, **** me if someone spat on my daughter I wouldn’t be all “ look Jamie Carraghar just spat on my daughter”, I’d have lost it with the bloke , he’d probably have battered me, but raw emotion would have taken over. The only person who emerges with any credit is the daughter, she’s more grown up then the other 2 put together Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. They were a shambles first half, lucky not to be 3 or 4 down at half time. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Doesn’t make chances? Who was that who headed the ball back for the wonderful football brained Gabbi at Burnley? Gabbi has looked as ineffective under this manager, isolated up front, he’d have struggled playing alone yesterday every bit as much as Carrillo did. Carrillo was one of the only ones who did his best yesterday, his best is pretty average, but he gave his all. To decide he doesn’t look like a premiership footballer after a dozen games, playing alone in a struggling side lacking confidence, under a poor manager is just nonsense. You can’t have seen enough of him to make that judgement, as he hasn’t played enough games or played for a half competent manager. He may turn out to be a dud, as Gaston or Juanmi were, then you can pat yourself on the back safe in the knowledge that you’re such a great judge of a player. You can even see which ones lack a “football brain”. On the playing side the issue isn’t him, the issue is international players giving half arsed arrogant performances. 10. That’s what I don’t understand about Reeds position. He’s given the guy a mid table squad and Pell is royally ****ing it up. By not sacking him, he’s in effect accepting he’s given him a Shiite squad. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Agree. Also the right sort of centre half would have helped Stephens & Wes become better players. I like Yoshida but he doesn’t come across as an organiser or leader. There’s decent players in there somewhere, but they’re both shell shocked at the moment. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. I don’t buy this theory because Reed is in charge of player recruitment as well. By not sacking the manager Reed is basically accepting that he’s doing as well as can be expected with these players. Surely the best thing for Reed is to make this guy the scapegoat. Sacking him sends out the message that we’ve given him a decent squad of players, and he hasn’t managed them properly. Under an old fashioned manager, your point maybe valid. Reed may not want to be seen as making one mistake in picking the wrong manager. As it is he’s going to be accused of making loads of mistakes, by signing poor players. Worryingly, I genuinely believe Reed thinks sticking with the guy is the right thing for the club. Hopefully, he’s had a rethink now. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. I remember some clown claiming Pelle was rubbish. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. He's not "bloody hopeless". He was tidy , brave and held the ball up pretty well yesterday. He suffers because he hasn't got the pace to work the channels or get in behind and he's not quite used to the physical nature of the league. Arsenal signed a 50 million player from France and he's struggling, it does happen. Anyone would struggle up front alone in our side at the moment. To say he "lacks a football brain" says more about you and your inflated opinion of your football knowledge than his brain. Such a lazy, unmeasurable criticism . I've seen nothing to suggest he's any more lacking in that department than any other of our players. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. JWP was as bad as the others, shocking..way too weak & ineffectual. He didn’t show any more spirit than any of the others. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. Just back in hotel, getting my self together before a night out with my Geordie mate, god he’s going to be unbearable. I haven’t read any other posts, but here’s my take. Just weren’t at the races early doors, poor poor management to be caught out by fast start. Wes is awful and he’s making Jack worse. He’s not a patch on the player he should be, we need an experienced leader next to one of them. The 2 together are flicking disastrous. Why oh why not play OR, scandalous selection. Lemina & PEH didn’t work. Tadic, a Fi king disgrace. I thought Guido did ok, worked hard, tidy, not quite good enough, but that’s not his fault. If some of the others had his attitude we’d be ok. Redmond must be the easiest player to defend against in the league. The full backs nearly stand sideways on to jockey him, he won’t go down the line, easy as shelling peas to play against. I thought the full backs didn’t give it their all. Keeper played well, not at fault at all. Clearly the end has come for the manager. Some of the players need to go as well, they can not be absolved of blame. Newcastle wanted it more today, end of. That’s completely unacceptable in my eyes. Incredibly disappointing was the players attitude towards the supporters at the end, about 3 or 4 made a half hearted effort, but the rest couldn’t really be arsed. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Churchill did indeed call for a United States of Europe in his Zurich speech of Sept 1946. The speech is reproduced here by The Churchill Society. Particularly attention should be paid to the final paragraph. “Great Britain, the British Commonwealth of Nations, mighty America, and I trust Soviet Russia - for then indeed all would be well - must be the friends and sponsors of the new Europe and must champion its right to live and shine”. http:// http://www.churchill-society-london.org.uk/astonish.html
  18. I hope not, I’ve got the snap dragon up here with me. Just got a recommendation from the bird waitressing in Miller & Carter’s , a bar where “there’s people my mum & Dads age in there”. Can’t work out if she’s being friendly or taking the ****. Just back at hotel putting me dancing shoes on ( or is it crocodile shoes up here). Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. If you see a fat bald headed bearded bloke come over and say hi. You can't miss me, I've got "Puel 8th" on the back of my shirt Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Pleased for the lad. That Blackpool game killed him , but he was potentially a decent keeper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Cheers Shtoppie , just been up there this afternoon for a reccy. What a ficking dive, it's perfect. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  23. Rubbish. My wife works with a close member of his family and she was told the complete opposite. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. Doesn’t it depend on who we’ve got home & away. City & Chelsea are clearly harder games than Everton, Leicester, West Ham & Newcastle. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. Lol....Love it. They didn’t “steal” anyone, they made offers and these were accepted. You know, like Cortese did with Arsenal & Ox. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
