  1. Bad day for the handful of our customers that posted on the prematch thread that they hoped we'd lose. Didn't hear any cursing when we scored, so they either kept quiet or stayed at home. The only thing that matters in the cup is getting through to the next round, job done. Competent tactics and substitutions and a refreshing change to pick a proper team in the cup. Onwards and upwards. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Ashton has had a hard on for Cortese and Poch for years, don't believe a thing he writes about Reed or Kat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. **** me if we were trying to sign a striker whose had a patchy season with Birmingham City, people would be in absolute meltdown. I haven't got a clue who this Guido guy is, but I'd bet my life he's a better player than Sam Gallagher at this moment in time. I was at Anfield when Pelle got clog during his debut , but we've surpassed ourselves now, we're not writing people off after a couple of games, not after 1 game or even half a game, we're not even writing them off when they sign, we're writing them off before they sign. Perhaps we could arrange a lynch mob at the unveiling and boo him. "****ing useless lump, 0 goals in 0 games, not ****ing good enough". Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Pied wasn’t poor against palace Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Anybody who pays £40 million for him & 140k a week is ****ing bonkers, if you ask me. Too much heart over head on this forum. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. ****ing heard it all now. City have always been a bigger club than us, even pre money. How old are you 11? They won a European trophy , 2league titles , 4 Fa cups , 2 league cups before the primer league existed, you plum Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. And isn’t it exactly what Marcus said the day he walked into the club. I maybe mistaken, as it’s a while ago, but wasn’t a sustainable self funding club his objective long term. Over spend to get us back into the big time, then gradually become self sufficient. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. We didn’t lose the club in 2006, or when Rupert came in, or any other random date in history. We never had the club in the first place, we’ve never been listened to, look how long it took for Branfoots removal. Even if you take it to the extreme and have fan ownership , it still won’t be “ours”, it’ll be a select few of the fan base. We are where we are , because that’s where we sit in the grand scheme of things. Around the middle of the top flight. Make good decisions, have a good season and we could be 5th, 6th, 7th make bad ones and we could be relegated. We’ve overachieved the past 4 years ( except in the cups, where forum gods Poch & Koeman certainly under achieved), it’s unreasonable to expect that to continue. It’s just not possible, people make mistakes in life, things go against you, others overachieve pushing you further down. The important thing is how you react to bad decisions, how you turn things round, thankfully we’re not fan owned because the reaction to adversity most on here are showing is ****ing pathetic. I don’t buy into the narrative that we’re complacent or incompetent. Well meaning decisions, not complacent ones have turned out to be wrong. Complacent implies, lazy uncaring. I bet Reed and co worked as hard with the Boufal signing as with Mane. I doubt for one minute they thought, it’s worked before, we’ll just sign him regardless. There was time and effort spent on due diligence, I don’t believe they just assumed that just because they’d identified him ,he’d be a hit. Reeds been in the game too long not to realise that it’s not an exact science. On paper Boufal looks every bit a good a signing as Mane. On paper and after the start he made, nobody would guess that Gabbi would struggle so much this season, on paper Lemina looks a good buy, as does Wes. Who would ever have believed The Mummy would be so abject, had we sold him to Liverpool at the same time as Mane, they’d have been another meltdown. On paper (and this won’t be popular) the young manager had just a good a pedigree as Poch. Clearly the games not played on paper, and I’d imagine long term Reed will end up paying the price for these (in hindsight) poor decisions. I know I’m waffling, but the point I’m trying to make is that nothing fundamentally changed the past 12 months. We sell our best players and we try and replace them with decent prospects, we don’t go down the Fat Sam or Davey Moyes managerial route, we do what we did previously. It worked before, it isn’t working at the moment, that’s life. It’s not some form of complacency, not Reeds ego going into overdrive, not some sort of money making scam by the Chinese, it’s not anything sinister. It’s just football and in football poor decisions, however well meaning or however good on paper, cost you. They cost the Chelsea’s & Liverpool’s of this world champions league places, they cost teams of our size relegation. I’m sure Reed & co are as worried about relegation as every single one of us. I’d imagine having all the facts and figures in front of him, wages & revenue wise, will keep him awake at night. If I ran the club, I’d have the manager out by now and Martin O’Neil & Roy Keane in situ. But I respect what Reeds done at this club, respect that he has a different opinion than mine ( and his counts). Any decision he makes will be made in the genuine belief it’s what is best for the club, let’s just hope it turns out to be the correct one. But to try and pin point a place in time or highlight a particular decision or policy shift where it all started to go wrong is ludicrous imo . Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. No. I’m hoping you have a bad day and the team you “support”, win. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. I suppose this was taken out of context as well? It’s simple, I want us to win Saturday, you don’t. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Yes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I know that, I was taking the ****. We’ve got a “supporter” ( or should I say customer) going to the game hoping we lose.....wtf is that all about? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Fingers crossed we lose Sat then. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. How anybody thinks getting knocked out of the cup is good is beyond me. Worse sides than us have got to the final and some have even won the ****ing thing. **** me, we’ve got some weird customers. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Brilliant, just what we need. Will you be jumping around when Fulham score, or be gutted if we do? When the chips are down it’s supporters like you that do the club proud. Southampton till you die , eh. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. They hardly sing now. Moving away from the away fans will make it even worse. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. I remember pony like this the last time. How it maybe a good thing to go down and re group, win more matches, see new grounds. How did that work out? ****ing dire. The championship seasons before league 1 were ducking awful, even the play off season was frustrating and ultimately ****ing woeful. Watching a shiete team like derby promoted. We were ****ing hours away from going bang, were lucky Marcus didn't walk away with all the fantasy bid. We won't be so lucky next time, we could end up the new Nottingham Forest or Sheffield Weds, just watching shiete second rate football season in season out. No thanks. 18. I do actually, never know what you’re going to miss and being on the end of the aisle helps, as I’m straight out at final whistle. 2 or 3 down with a couple of minutes left I understand, but that’s not the case. Burnley 82 minutes gone, they’re off, yesterday 80 minutes they’re off, and we’re only 1 goal down. Last year we were 0-0 with Man Utd and people were leaving with 5 minutes left. It’s ****ing pathetic. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. Don't write pony. Huddersfield fans were singing "oh when the saints go marching out" as our "loyal supporters" were heading to the exit. Second game running because Leicester sang the exact same song. Why was that if nobody was leaving. I sit at the end of an aisle in the Kingsland and week after week there's a steady stream leaving from about 85 mins, regardless of the score . Last night it was as soon as they scored the second. Anyone who doesn't think our support at home is pitiful is deluded. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. At least a third leave way before the end. We are the worst supporters in the league at the moment, woeful. We’re good at taking the **** out of other sides supporters on this forum, but absolutely ****ing hopeless at actually walking the walk. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. Only took them 7 months after agreeing terms with player. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. Haven’t a clue myself, but I’d be amazed if that was true in relation to respective 25 men squads. Clearly below top 6 and I’d imagine Everton. Would be surprised if we’re above West Ham, Leicester ( big rises after league win), I’d imagine stoke pay a fair whack as well, wouldn’t surprise me if Pulis pushed WBA’s up quite high as well. Did you ask your mate how he knew this or where he got his facts from or did you just sit there agreeing with him. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. We’re obsessed with possession, but it’s possession for possessions sake. Good sides keep possession to move the opposition around, to create gaps, get between the lines, then bang, a riskier ball that gets someone in. Even last season, particularly early on, our possession was always with the purpose of getting a 2 on 1 overload, mostly via the fullbacks getting in behind and crossing. Now we just pass it around where the opposition let us pass it around. Where they don’t, we give it away or go backwards, allowing them to become set defensively. Gabbi in particular, but sometime Tadic make good intelligent runs, but the player in possession prefers a safe ball rather than a 60/40 riskier one with a higher reward. This must come from the manager drumming it into them “don’t give the ball away”. The other thing we don’t do is hit the space or the channels and then get midfield runners in. I’m not talking about long ball, but playing a % ball behind the full backs for Long to drag the centre halves out of position. Midfield should then bust a gut to get into the vacant space. We must be so easy to play against, centre halves just stay in position all day long, they’re never pulled out wide or dragged into the “10 space”. We’re so slow moving the ball that their defensive midfield can get into that space and the full backs get back into their defensive positions. When you add in the fact we’re incapable of scoring from corners, you can see why we don’t score many. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. But let’s blame Puel anyway. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. I don’t really know what sort of back up right back people want or who we could realistically have. Ideally it’ll be a nipper fresh out of the academy, but failing that we’re not really going to get better than Pied. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
