  1. So despite being the only player that made any effort to actually shoot, despite putting a great shift in and putting the rest to shame, despite being the only one that physically tried to match their players , despite giving the supporters some hope, you’re complaining about him starting? 2. We need some real men in the side, we’re a team of ****ing son in laws. Whose going to shake a few up, both opposition players & their own. JWP being the poster boy of the club ****ing sums the whole place up. Although technically limited Yoshida is tough, he must start, as must OR. Long & Austin need to play, they’re about the only two we’ve got that have got an attitude that winds up opposition supporters (apart from Tadic rolling around like a big fairy). Davo, although over the hill, won’t shirk and hide like most did yesterday. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. So despite finishing higher or as high for 3 seasons, despite going further in both cups, despite European qualification twice, players like Mane, VvD, Pelle, Toby, Tadic, didn’t “ measure up”. To have got these cheap replacements to the same position as Poch and a cup final, Claude must be some manager. What Ronald Koeman did with these must have been genius. I know you remoaners like to make up your own facts, but that’s just a ridiculous post. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Nonsense. Him Long and the keeper were the only 3 to come out with any credit at all. He was head and shoulders above the rest in terms of effort and application Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. ****ing disgraceful performance today. Absolutely going through the motions, deserves to miss out on the World Cup. Totally unprofessional Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. On the train home now. Still ****ed off . Embarrassing, some players should be ashamed of themselves . Both full backs going through the motions, disgraceful. Centre halves are shot. How Lemina managed to come out second half is beyond me. PEH, better second half, but poor poor first, don't really matter that he played better second half, because he was poor when it mattered . Tadic, was average , too lightweight. Redmond one of the better ones, but still poor . Gabbi, average . The only players that I absolve was the keeper & Charlie Austin. The rest were a ****ing disgrace . I thought Newcastle was bad, but this was worse. We're going down end of. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. Wealdstone FC are doing the same. Pretty decent bar, free parking, food and The Raider made an appearance last time. Anyone interested the blokes name is James and his number is 0797979 5414. So if others get booked up maybe worth a shout. We're going by train this time, but it's ok if you're in car or coach Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. The beat explanation I heard was from Gab Marcotti. He reckons this obsession with "clear and obvious " is confusing everyone. When it comes to facts , VAR overrules the referee and it doesn't have to be "clear or obvious ", because a fact is a fact. You're either off side or you're not offside. Was it offside, was the foul in the box or not etc. Subjective decisions the VAR can't over rule the ref but can advise him to go and have a look on the pitch side monitor. The referee then decides if he's made an error. Only he can decide if he's made a clear and obvious error as it's a subjective thing. A clear and obvious error implies that 9 or 10 out of 10 people will agree its an error, whereas in reality the only thing that matters is whether 1 person thinks it's an error, the referee. 12. So basically you’re agreeing with me. Because the overwhelming majority of members were leavers, his principles got diluted. Tony Benn would have adhered to the primacy of party members, without compromising his principle. He’d have campaigned to leave whilst accepting the majority wanted to remain. Contrast him, with Ken Clarke. A man who basically wouldn’t do a Corbyn and therefore didn’t become party leader. That’s what I call principled. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Boruc Clyne VvD. Toby. Bertrand Big Vic. OR (of last season) Mane. Davo. Lallana Ricky Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Your criteria only works if caps are of the same value throughout the years. Nowadays they throw them round like confetti. Lambert & Lallana wouldn’t have got anywhere near a cap when I started watching the game. Allan Clarke got 19 caps, Ray Kennedy 17, Howard Kendall 0, Tony Currie 17, Jimmy Case 0, Stan Bowles 5, Rodney Marsh 9, Peter Osgood 4, John Hollins 1, Alan Hudson 2, I could go on and on. Lallana wouldn’t even get in our best side this century, let alone of all time. Fonte is nowhere near our best centre half despite winning 28 caps and the euros. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. I don’t think so. My nippers ticket defaulted from adult to 18-21 when added to my basket. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. He abandoned one of his major political principles , because he wanted to keep his new members onside. The members are who protect him from the PLP ousting him. He voted leave in the original referendum, voted against Maastricht & Lisbon. He was from the old left that opposed the EU from day one, standing alongside Galloway & his political hero Tony Benn. Look how he campaigned during the Cameron referendum, then contrast it to his campaigning during GE. Tories like Major & Cameron pretended to be Euro sceptical to gain the endorsement of the party and stay in favour with the members, Corbyn has done exactly the same. It maybe politically expedient , but it’s not principled. There is absolutely no doubt had Corbyn been a back bencher he’d have campaigned for leave. Ken Clarke could easily have done the same and abandoned his principle. He could have toned down his EU enthusiasm to win the Tory leadership, but he refused. That’s principled, what Corbyn did, isn’t. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Dodd, Claus, Lallana, Fonte, Lambert FFS, who picked this side. Half the side should be nowhere near an ultimate 11. **** me I could name 10 centre halves better than that pairing. Adkins and Lawrie, what a ****ing joke. Ted & Lawrie head and shoulders above the rest. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. Lol, principled ? Opposed the EU at every opportunity, until a miraculous about turn which just happened to coincide with his elevation to the party leadership. Intelligent? Joins FB groups without realising he’d joined, defended a picture without looking properly at it, met a Czech “diplomat “ without realising he was a spy. ****ged Diane Abbott. Yeah, really intelligent. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. This doesn’t make sense. Just because you’re not homophobic doesn’t mean you can’t be sexist, or hate Muslims. Would you say Donald Trump can’t be racist because of his historic stance towards Jews & Israel? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. The issue is the leader being anti Semitic or appearing to tolerate it. If May had called some racists friends, had she joined anti black Facebook pages, if she had friends that were racist, had she defended a racist picture, had she been called the racists poster girl, by John Major or Nigel Lawson. What if her own mps marched in a protest against racism in the Tory party. What if May set up an enquiry into racism in the Tory party, then ennobled the head of that enquiry straight after the party was exonerated , before then admitting that there were pockets of racism in the party. If May did all that, would you accept as a defence of her, that all parties had racists in them. I doubt you would. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. Margaret Hodge, no doubt a red Tory, calls Corbyn “The poster boy for anti semites”. Implies that the Chakrabarti report was a whitewash, still she won’t care it got her a tittle. What’s looking the other way, compared to being called Baroness Chakrabarti. That’s going to impress her sons mates at his posh private school. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. Hard one. Having been lucky enough to see both personally I'd put it like this. Le Tiss had better performances ( in that, if you picked the top 20 individual performances you'd seen in a Saints shirt, he'd have more in that top 20 than Mick) but Mick had more better performances, if that makes sense. I guess it's like comparing the Beatles to The Stones. The Stones had a dozen fantastic songs, whereas the Beatles had a body of work that overall was far better. Mick's underrated in football folklore if you ask me, he was a quality player. But Le Tiss gave me the greatest wow moments I've ever seen ( apart from 1/5/76) and will ever see. To this day I still can't believe that last day at the Dell, talk about writing your own headlines. I can't separate them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Great topic. Here's my list of each sides best player since I've been watching football . Only really struggled with Burnley and picking one for Saints. Arsenal = Berkamp Bournemouth = Ted Mcdougal Brighton = Mark Lawrenson Burnley = Robbie Blake Chelsea = John Terry Crystal Palace = Ian Wright Everton = Bally Huddersfield = Frank Worthington Leicester City = Gary Lineker Liverpool = Kenny D Manchester City = Colin Bell Manchester United = Bestie Newcastle United = Super Mac Southampton = Mick C or Le Tiss Stoke = Gordon Banks Swansea = Gylfi Sigurdsson Tottenham = Glen Hoddle Watford = John Barnes West Brom = Bryan Robson West Ham = Bobby Moore Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Of course, the Jewish community are in cohorts with the Tories. Jewish Labour MP saying on news night that Corbyn won’t recognise anti semitism on the left. Since he became leader anti Semites in the party feel safe and anti semites are joining the party because they feel it represents their views. I suppose she’s a red Tory Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
