  1. Typical of this place, some knee jerk reactions from people who love nothing better than moaning. The bloke was tidy yesterday, but was isolated up front. Never really got a sniff on goal apart from one header that can’t be considered an easy chance at all. Here’s an idea, why don’t people let the guy play a few games, perhaps against sides outside of the top 6 and then judge him. I know the budding Paul Mitchell’s on here are so knowledgeable that they can make instant assessments about players, personally I think 2 games (one of which he did ok) is too soon. 6. That’s a really good point. Future Governments can absolutely change the terms. And no, I wouldn’t trust any of them Society needs to make a decision . We can either send 10% to uni with no fees or 50% with fees. I doubt we can put the genie back in the bottle as the industry is too big to change now. We can absolutely not afford to pay for 50% of the population to go to uni for free. What I find strange & incoherent is Corbyn wanting to make it free. Who does it help, the graduates that will pay off their loans. Which is in effect the very richest, the same richest he wants to tax more. Whether the left like it or not, fees are progressive. The more you earn, the more you pay back. If you’re poor, you don’t pay a penny back and it’s written off after 30 years. Its not really a loan, more of a higher tax rate , and should be renamed. It’s too easy to compare free uni of our days (not that I went) with payment now, it’s a different beast now with so many more going. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. The PFA should absolutely be helping in cases like this, rather than supporters who in the main would have earnt a lot less than players did. In comparison to today’s players they were paid a pittance, but were pretty well paid compared to the working man. Short career maybe, but plenty of jobs cease to exist or have been made redundant. The days of life time jobs went for his generation regardless of whether you were a footballer or not. The PFA should do more for retired members, they can afford it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. According to Martin Lewis 83% of students won’t pay their loan off. He also claims you have to be a high earner for 30 years for the interest rate to make any difference to you. The legacy the over 30’s could leave the youngsters is to stop frightening them over this “debt”. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. My Mrs actually works in Poole hospital, oh and she isn’t an immigrant. If you think it’s bad now, wait till it merges with Bournemouth hospital and cross your fingers the traffic from colehills not too bad if you need an ambulance. The issue with that A& E is people are there who should be going to the doctors, but can’t get an appointment. Whether people like it or not population growth has contributed to that, added to labours ridiculous GP contracts. It’s only going to get worse, my son lives in Hamworthy, look how that’s grown the past 10 years. Soon they’re building on that side of the quay, on the old power station site, Carter’s quay and on the Sydenhams site. Extra doctors surgeries planned to deal with all those extra people, none. I’m not saying it’s all immigrants, as I don’t see too many in Poole (including my Mrs work mates at the hospital), but to deny population growth without extra capacity doesn’t affect health provision is just putting your head in the sand. 10. What about those ****s with terminal illnesses, if we banned them from voting we could have them put down & save money on NHS. They're just clogging up the housing market by fighting for their lives, somebody healthy could live in their house. Whilst stopping people voting is totally disproportionate , he is onto something. However, it's something our feeble minded yellow bellied politicians and snowflakes will never address. Middle class and old people's welfare. Winter fuel allowance sticks out a mile, but look at the fuss lefties made when Wayne Rooney and Paul McCartney had their child benefit withdrawn. Look at tuition fees, only the well off will pay them back, so by abolishing them, you're helping the wealthy. My old man retired at 55, gets a free TV licence, winter fuel allowance and because of the uproar about "dementia tax" my inheritance is pretty safe. Meanwhile others are having to use food banks. It's not him voting to keep these perks, that's keeping them it's you snowflakes whinging every single time somebody suggests doing something about it. If the Tories go into the next election committed to scraping pensioner benefits for the richest pensioners, Corbyn and his cronies aren't gonna say "good idea, lets channel the money into people who really need it" are they? They're going to be telling stories of pensioners freezing to death. The old age pension is basically a Ponzi scheme, that needs serious reform, but nobody will address that. 11. I don't particularly swear a lot myself, my snap dragon swears at me way more than I swear at her, but if others want to swear at football that's up to them. I certainly won't get offended by swearing in songs sung by our supporters and even if you did there's absolutely nothing to be gained by making a fuss about it. Swearing has always been a part of football, the only thing that's changed is the chants, and abuse used to be a bit more original and a bit more amusing. Chanting Lovren you're a ****, or their new version Virgil you're a ****, is going to get a bit tedious Sunday imo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. This is the explanation Matt gave to Jeff Stelling on Soccer Saturday. Seems perfectly plausible to me. As for release clauses , they are actually buy out clauses. The buying club buy the player out of his contract and he becomes a free agent to then sign. Therefore the club holding the players contract are perfectly within their rights to demand up front payment for that contract. Most would probably accept the player doesn’t want to play for them anymore and may accept staged payments, but it looks like The Russians wouldn’t in this instance. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. And you have the nerve to claim I don’t go to games. You’ve summed up my point about clever dicks being sarky perfectly. Luckily others have written some decent words about the guy. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Don’t talk ****ing rubbish man. He was a really good championship player for us, certainly better than others we had at that level when we went down. Not quite good enough for the top flight, but than neither would Franny, had he been in his prime in the modern game, the level is so much higher nowadays. Like Billy Sharp & Dean Hammond, an important member of the side that got us promotion and deserves respect for that alone, rather than sarky comments from clever dicks. 17. Brilliant, so Kane could of been stood offside by the corner flag and Big Vics goal would be disallowed. The first one was not offside because Lovren played the ball intentionally as opposed to it hitting him accidentally. Linos flag when the ball reaches the offside player but this season they’ve been told to hold off with the flag, unless it’s 100% certain. The Lino clearly must have seen lovren attempt to play the ball but was unsure whether he touched it or completely miss kicked it, therefore did the correct thing by keeping his flag down and then asking Moss. We’re going to see this week in week out when VAR comes in. I’m sure pundits and fans are going to wonder how Lino’s missed certain offsides, but they won’t have, they’re being told to keep their flags down. The only thing that was dodgy about the officials behaviour on that one was Moss asking the 4th official whether the tv showed anything. But that’s been going on unofficially for years ,it’s claimed and pretty much accepted that ZIdane was sent off in a World Cup final on the say so of the 4th official watching the reply. The second one was a peno, but would have been given offside in the build up if VAR was in play. There is no benefit of doubt for offsides, no clear and obvious error policy, you’re either offside or onside and his foot was offside. If anything you can play the ball with is beyond the last defender you’re offside. Head, Chest, Foot, knee etc. Arm or hand would have been onside (unless it’s Watford). 19. We all know why Crooks keeps his job. He’s far away the worst pundit, even worse than Lawro or Savage Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. He’s a ****ing plum. Even when the rules are read out, he’s still saying the decision was wrong. “Bring on VAR” he insisted, it would have shown the decision was right, you ignoramus. Then he claims “foreign “ keepers don’t catch the ball these days, neither do English ones you plank. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. I posted Stewart Robsons criticism of VvD on here and got shouted down by some. But he showed today exactly what Robson claimed. He didn’t win the header against Llorente & then was oblivious to the danger from the resulting flick on. As Robson said at the top top level you’ll be punished. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. Bottle job from the sky interviewer. When Klopp says “clearly offside” & “I don’t know why they were discussing it”, he should have told him replay shows Lovren touched the ball, therefore he’s not offside. Would have shut the twt right up. No doubt the bloke knew but bottled telling Klopp. How anyone thinks either weren’t pens beggars belief. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. I don’t know whose got the bigger balls , the Lino or Kane. Amazing end. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. Why on earth are they continually trying to play out at the back, they’re getting caught time and time again. If Pell does that next week, he’ll get slaughtered, yet Poch is a genius to most on here. Get Llorente up front and go longer, god I’m sounding like Dinosaur Dave. They’ve played right into Liverpool’s hands & got the crowd up for it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. I just hope next week our manager doesn’t play into Liverpool’s hands and set his side up to play like the Spurs manager has so far . Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
