  1. Don't understand why people are getting their knickers in a twist over others saying we're a selling club, we are. As is 86/87 of the 92 clubs in England. It's just that we get more focus because of the depth of talent we've unearthed. It's not an insult, it's a fact. If VvD played for WBA they'd be in the same boat. West Ham had to sell their star man. It's just a fact of life, whether we like it or not is irrelevant. Funny enough I'm reading a book about Shanks at the moment. There's a bit about scouting players. Evidently, he went to watch one & after 20 mins the player got kicked & made a right meal of it., rolling around & moaning at the ref. "C'mon we're off, I've seen enough " said Shanks to his buddy with him. They didn't sign the player. How I wish managers had that attitude now. That they would be put off by players antics, that Klopp would say he's not interested in VvD now because of his selfish unprofessional behaviour. Unfortunately he won't, any more than we would. We'd have signed Berihino & ignored the shiete he put WBA through. It's not just players & agents that stink, it's managers & clubs as well. I hope reports of us sticking him in the stands for a season are true, it'll do a great service to the game. However, are we supporters prepared to accept Yoshida & Stephens whilst he does so, or will we expect Kat to put her hand in her pocket & get a replacement in before receiving VvD money. The cold reality of it that the manger will want a replacement, the supporters will want a replacement & the money men will take the emotion out of it , and pay for that replacement by selling VvD. 2. Pony Contrast his behaviour with Courtino's. There's a way of leaving a football club and this ain't it. I don't want the **** playing for our first team ever again, I don't feel "lucky" to have him. You're acting like a sap whose fit wife has just ****ged your mate, but because she's fit you feel "lucky". Even though she can't stand you & ****s about, "lucky"? **** off. I'd rather stick with Yoshida, even if he is a 6 pinter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. My point was that it's not really the place to start when discussing cricket the past 60 years. A load of women playing a shiete standard. And to say that Lords hadn't seen an atmosphere like it before, is just laughable. If the BBC did a program celebrating British music since 1960, they wouldn't start with Freddie & the Dreamers or claim that the pivotal song that changed everything was Tiger Feet by Mud. It had absolutely no place in any programme about cricket, unless the programme was 98 hours long. It certainly didn't merit the prime spot they gave it. It was supposed to be about TMS, Arlott, Trevor Bailey, Fred , Blowers etc etc. Has there even been a bird in the TMS commentary team (knowing the BBC there probably has been). TMS is a programme about MEN'S cricket, the tribute should have reflected that. If they wanted chicks on it, they should have done a chick podcast. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. It's not just football that the BBC have lost all perspective when it comes to birds sport. I downloaded the TMS cricket podcast celebrating 60 years of the programme. Blowers, Aggers & Jim Maxwell in discussion. "This will be good " I thought . So what was their starting point, John Arlott, Ashes series, Or maybe Compton or Boycotts 100 100. No "we'll start pretty much at the end" the bird hosting it said, "England's World Cup win against India last week" . What? Have I missed something, was I in a coma? What World Cup win? They went to a correspondent who gushed on about the Women team winning the World Cup. Is that really where anyone would start a review of cricket the past 60 years. To compound it, the correspondent then claimed " an unbelievable atmosphere that day, the noise was incredible" before adding (****ing get this) " Lords has never heard anything like it". All the great matches, stories, centuries , bowling feats, one day finals , but according to this dopey bint , the home of cricket hasn't seen an atmosphere like that before. FFS, I'm sure the BBC is trying to troll us. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. **** me, Monday afternoon & you're tanked up already. Barclay looks like a typical West Ham signing to me. If I was him I'd lower my demands and try & get into Spurs. There seemed to be a little bit of interest there. Telling that absolutely nobody gets seriously linked with JWP isn't it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Cable should really avoid accusing people of "shafting the young". Of course it wasn't just the young he wanted to shaft. Had we followed his advise & joined the Euro everyone would have been shafted. Here's hoping that Cable keeps up the good work. Insulting the majority voters isn't really a great tactic to change opinion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Surely the willingness to be personally poorer for your beliefs is a good thing. If your principles are more important than money & wealth is that not noble. Only wanting an independent Scotland if it meant no sacrifice, or loss of wealth, is hardly Braveheart. What if Donald Trump offered to pay all income tax, VAT, & pay for the NHS. In return we'd have to become the 51st state of the union, but would undoubtedly be richer. Which way would you vote, to be poorer & remain the UK or to be richer & become part of the US. Some things are more important than money & people should be lauded for that, not abused. * Not that I accept the notion we'll be poorer. In the long run I think we'll be richer. 8. Lol, it's not a "lie" . If you accept the premise that the more you spend on education the better results you get, then surely it's not a "lie" to then suggest that had we ploughed the money we sent to the EU into education, our standards would be higher. What's the lie; That we've sent billions to the EU That more funding means better education standards You need to learn the difference between a lie ( or even a venomous lie) & an opinion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Instead of sending millions to the EU we will be able to plough some of it into our education system, or our 9 poorest areas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Exactly. But the goon squad will go out of their way to devise criteria showing MP will be better. Me, I'll stick to league position & cup runs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. That's what 45 years of EU membership has done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Spot on Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. David Pleat had more to do with them signing Alli than Mitchell ever did. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. How did the genius Mitchell get on at Spurs? Les Reed has done exactly what he's been paid to do and has been an important cog since the takeover. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. What makes me laugh are all the birds & metro sexuals that think this is some form of liberation & equality. It's not, they're just piggie backing on the back of the men's game. Sky even reported " in football, England blah blah blah. "In football", it's not football it's women's football. The Dog & Duck could beat any bird team it's appalling, especially the keepers. I've seen 18 stone **** artists save more than them on a Sunday morning Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. FFS If Puel was still manager people would be saying that's the reason VvD is "on strike" . If a player was refusing to play for Puel, nobody would be saying he'd handled it well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Good job we keep records & can refer to league tables isn't it. Players performance is subjective, league position isn't Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Not if there's a lot of 5-5 draws there won't be. It'll be great, especially if the players are happy & the manger gives decent press conferences. In fact if he jumps around in the technical area he may get a contract extension Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. If we finish 9th I won't be "one of the idiots" asking for him to go. In fact I'll be saying that he's done a ****ing good job with the squad he's been given. Only idiots would want a manager out whose done a good job. Of course, uber fans like you judge managers on how happy the players are, or fans are, or how excited you are at matches. Me, I judge managers on the league position given the relevant strength of the squad. It's pretty obvious to me that last season & this we've got a god damn average squad. I know you don't like the the fact we finished 8th, but we did. We were English footballs 8th best team. Let's see where we are this year with a similar squad Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. "Hard to believe" is putting it mildly , ****ing deluded sums it up. More chance of going to the moon in a shoe box Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Let's see how the same players get on with a manager that wants to cuddle them. Let's see where we finish compared to Puel, you can't "ignore that" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I prefer great goals that mean something. This is why I rate Matt's Newcastle 2 & last day at Dell higher than his Blackburn one. He may have made Flowers look a chump, but we lost the match. I particularly like the Wimbledon free kick because it was unique, it also, if memories serve, won us the game Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Some of us knew this all along. He did a ****ing good job with the rubbish he was given to work with Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. But as long as we score goals & see exciting football it doesn't matter Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Some of you clowns need to grow a pair. Pre season is all about getting match fit, results are secondary. I can't remember how any pre seasons have gone & ive been watching since 1969. I'm sure there's a few sad sacks that'll know, but ffs, nobody cares. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
