  1. We're flying into Turin weds & out fri . £102 for flights
  2. Interesting that Utd are today heavily linked with Drinkwater , guess who they play Sat.
  3. Little tip we used . You can reserve a BA fare for 72 hours for a £5. Means you can get in early but still shop around . We're going to Turin but it's gone right up . Genoa is £115 return so my mates reserved that while he looks around for a cheaper option .
  4. Just had an email from club, anybody issued tickets for block 120 need to contact the club It looks like this has something to do with the lack of segregation from Watford game . Club are stressing that nobody will miss out but people in block 120 will be switching seats
  5. Spoke to club today . All tickets will be sent today . However , West Ham have messed up & some who have tickets already will need to move . Sending out info today .
  6. Perhaps people don't want to tie themselves to a basket case & see potential in other areas. In other news that fruit loop vicar who runs the Lib/dumbs is worried we are sleep walking out of the EU . What a plum , eyes wide open following a national debate Timmy
  7. I don't get it . I thought had Cortese stayed non of the players would have been sold , therefore the model Quinn is on about is Les & Kat's .
  8. Looks like Jezzas buddies momentum are setting up a youth wing. What's not to like about the indoctrination of nippers.
  9. They did the same after the Sunderland game as well , but what do ex pro 's who are now pundits know compared to the experts on here . As someone said " everyone can see he's not a striker , except Puel". And Puel is only playing him up front because he's stubborn & thinks he's clever.
  10. I realise this is aimed at pros , but doubt if many will reply so hopefully I can contribute something . I played an OK standard for local football, Hants Div one pre Wessex league and played up front before moving back to kick a few from my mid 30's till hung boots up at 47 . I was a streaky player , 8 in 10 then none is 6 , that sort of thing . As I got older I realised I was trying too hard in a dry spell and I think Redmonds in that position now . He's trying to make sure & burst the net . Once he misses one he tries even harder & that makes it worse. It certainly doesn't help a young player having the crown moan and then sing for a guy on the bench. Some players need a rollicking , some need an arm around them . I played my best stuff with Managers I thought rated me, less so when I felt I'd be coming off or kicked down to the stiffs . I think Redmonds like that , he needs an arm round him . Hopefully Puel will do this as there's defo something there . Austins different , he knows he's a goalscorer and knows they'll come along in the end. Look at today , misses a sitter , yet had supreme confidence to bury the next chance that came along . As for Shane Long , I get the feeling that misses don't bother him either ( he should be used to it by now) . He's obviously older and because of his work rate the crowd will never get on his back. He's actually at the perfect club for his type of striker , at Utd or Liverpool the spotlight would really be on him . Misses like the ones at Arsenal would not be excused. One thing I've always looked out for with strikers and judge them on , is when they score their goals. I played with guys who ended up with 20 a season , but when you drill down into it didn't win us many matches . They'd score 3 in a 5-1 or 1 when we're already 4 down . The best strikers put you one up, win you a game or rescue a point . It's not always about raw numbers. We've had 2 of the best in that regard Rickie & Matt . What sums up what I'm trying to say was that goal on the last day of the Dell . Never in a million years was he going to miss that. Scorers of important goals can be better than scorers of more goals , if that makes sense.
  11. It was right in front of me . It looked like Shane dived over the outstretched leg . Seen them given , but I thought he went a bit early and should have stayed on his feet slightly longer and he may have got it . I maybe wrong as it happened quickly , but I'd have been gutted had it been given against us. Refs clearly have marked him down as a diver/ exaggerator as he never gets a thing
  12. Yes , and Austin missed the easiest chance of the season so far but we don't mention that .
  13. Was it criminal when Austin missed from 2 yards . No , I'm sure it wasn't . It's only criminal when Redmond does it . You make out Redmond misses them week after week , it's pony . He missed a couple today , but he hasn't been missing them week in, week out. He scored a nice tidy finish against Watford , which shows he's quite capable. If he has a brain freeze , what does long have?
  14. He played him in a position that enabled to score & miss a sitter . Your criticism is only valid if our formation didn't produce any chances for him . Christ the manager can't win . He plays s formation where we miss 2 sitters & another easy chance , win & people still know better .
  15. If Redmond was a Jonny Foeginer nobody really knew , nobody would be saying " play him on the wing " . They'd just be saying what potential he had
  16. Redmond is getting better & better with his all round game , he played well today . Yes , his finishing was poor today , but he hasn't missed chance after chance every game ala long . Give the guy a break . Austin can't start every game , only games where we'll see plenty of the ball around the opposing arra . Away at City or Liverpool it'll be like playing with 10. Good management today , spot on tactics , good substituations and game management. I've got a feeling this guys going to grow on people .
  17. Bloke in pub said West Ham cocked up & saints had to send loads back . West Ham sending correct ones this week & saints will then send out but " loads " will have to pick up on day . Came from ticket office today .
  18. I look at it this way . If next summer we signed a nipper for nothing who had just notched 15-20 goals in a struggling championship side , we'd be congratulating Les & the black box for a great find . Of course it doesn't mean he'll make it in the top flight , some players can't make the step up, but even if he doesn't , the good championship season will be in others memories and we should make few quid if he moves on .
  19. Don't talk rubbish , if he was a " great " manager he'd be at Barcelona by now. Everton will not finish top 6 .
  20. Manager Redknapp GK David James RB Glen Johnson LB HH CB Sol Campbell , Distan Mid Diarra, Krancjar , Muntari , Mendes , Diop Forwards Defoe Kanu If only we'd shown the same ambition we could win the cup and be as prosperous as them .
  21. Who is that new midfield signing who plays for Chelsea?
  22. I made this point in the pre referendum thread ,of course assorted remoaners & lefties wouldn't have it . Never worked out how caring , sharing " progressive " lefties are happy for poorer ( and in some cases dirt poor) countries spend money training doctors, midwives & dentists , only for us to pinch them . The same goes for the brightest & the best . Germany want young fit immigrant men to boost their economy & generate taxes to look after their aging population . How are these poorer countries going to devolop if loads of their entrepreneurs , fit youngsters & tradesmen bugger off to help rich nations get richer .
  23. How high would immigration be if the whole world had the right of free movement to the uk Whitey?
  24. I doubt Andy Cole would have taken the ball off Paul Scholes had Fergie designated Scholes as the penalty taker . Can't imagine Tagget & Roy Kean would have said " not a problem" even if he did and scored
  25. What happens if you're a chick & your passport is in your maiden name and your SFC account in your married name ?
