  1. It's a miracle nothing's happened for a few years. There will be an attack killing dozens (if we're lucky)and it will be by a Muslim. It is quite remarkable the job the security services perform because the lack of an attavk is not down to lack of effort or will from these Muslims. The elephant in the room is "moderate Islam ". A medieval religion where sexes are separated , their chicks walk around covered from head to toe , you cant take the mick out of their prophet, or even draw him FFS. Many of them want Sharia law, hate Jews & hate us and all we stand for. Yet they're a lot safer in our country than Christians are in theirs. It's 2017 FFS, why aren't these people condemned , why are they allowed to treat women, gays & non believers like they do? Here's a simple fact lefties on here won't like. The more Muslims we let in, the more divided the country will become & the more unsafe we will be. You wouldn't let White American KKK folk in, why are people who don't want to respect our values allowed in.
  2. My old man was born in 1936 in Boscombe & moved to Southampton in 1962. Even though he now lives in Dorset, he's still a Hampshire man.
  3. My old man was born in Boscombe and he considers himself a Hants man.
  4. Just got home now ( how nice it is to sat at home glass of wine in hand within an hour of away game finish). Second half, different class. Davo superb , changed the whole shape of the game . Special mention for PEH , to perform that well second half after a poor first half ( and our supporters were twts for cheering a sucsesfiul pass) shows some mental toughness . But the whole day belongs to JRod , all round performance was great .
  5. I can't see too many managers given Shane Long,a post injury JRod, JWP, Davo,Redmond & Classie would do much better than Claude has done, certainly not Ronald Koeman. Just look at their career records and then ask yourself why we're not scoring goals. With the tools he's been given,he's doing a pretty good job.
  6. It may do because we have to put up with " papered over the cracks " , wouldn't have won if we didn't score " " they were poor " & the classic " had Gaston been fit". 1-0's aren't good enough now, we need to play free flowing exciting football. Forget Boros decent away record , we should be ****ing nurdering them, Puel out
  7. Our style now is nothing like it was under Poch, but neither was Koemans. Personally I thought Koeman relied on Pelle too much, until he was forced to leave him out & Long came good. Having witnessed some woeful away performances under Ron, I'd say the away style was pretty much the same as now. However, our home style was more positive, faster and on the front foot. The question is would Puels home form be better with Mane & Pelle instead of Redmond & Austin. We will never know, but there's no doubt Puel has a weaker set of players to call on. I would put Poch's style head and shoulders above both Koeman & Puel's. Personally I don't mind Puels style and think he'll come good . We may not see the barnstorming home performances that we did under Ron, but overall I think we'll see more youngsters and I think he'll make them tactically better than Ron would
  8. There's release clauses and then there's releases clauses, as we found out with Toby at Spurs. Mirror reports a clause and claim they've seen a copy of his contract , Spurs deny it. Turns out the truth is somewhere in between with the clause not kicking in till 2018. Same with Suarez's infamous clause. Arsenal wanted him,bid £1 over his clause , he wanted to go. Why didn't he sign then, my understanding was that the clause was so vague that Liverpool claim it just meant he could talk to clubs who met it, but not neccesarily sign for them. I'd guess VvD's "clause" is somewhere in the middle. I don't think it was made up, but I can't believe we'd be stupid enough to insert or agree to a clause that means he can bugger of this Jan or even next summer. My guess would be that he has a "Toby" clause that kicks in the summer his original contract ended, or maybe the summer before . Anything else doesn't make sense.
  9. It's a bit misleading because we've had to spend big just to replace the players that have left. And that spend has been recent. If Arsenal have to replace Sanchez & Ozil next season they'll have to spend big but because prices have gone up that bigger spend won't mean better players than those 2.Surely the figure we should be looking at is net spend, or a better measure is wage bill
  10. Cedric is getting better & better. Now he's got used to the physicality of the English game he could turn out to be just as good as Clyne
  11. How are we doing in the domestic cups?
  12. After losing at home to a championship side in the competition we are in the semi final of.
  13. Matt chose his words very carefully but was pretty damning.
  14. They're on an awful run
  15. Lol at Koeman
  16. Interesting that Le Tiss has just said on Soccer Saturday that there's more to this than meets the eye. That he's heard Jose hasn't acted like a captain behind the scenes . Said he's telling half truths on social media and may have had his head turned. Phil Thompson said " he has had his head turned, offers have been made".
  17. Not at all. I've heard both Stewart Robson & Tony Cascarino, two pundits who are pretty decent imo, both say that Chelsea's form with a new manger is partly down to the fact Conte works day in day out with the team as there is no midweek games. Robson actually contrasted this with Pep's struggles to get City to adopt his tactics which he said was in part to their midweek commitments. It made sense to me.
  18. Strange,a remain seat votes for a remain candidate and the BBC are wetting their pants with excitement . Timmy Farron is all over the news calling it a Brexit "backlash". Yet when a leave seat votes in a leave candidate, nothing, not a thing. Where is Timmy? I thought he'd be celebrating the 106 extra voters he got, only another 1.2 million to go Timmy.
  19. What a load of pony. You want to have your anti Les cake & eat it. You blame him for our poor signings this season but credit Ron for the good ones the previous 2 seasons. According to you we've been going downhill since Nicola left, and laughable write off the awkward fact that we've finished higher both seasons since as "luck". Most independent observers think we've got a cracking set up, Wenger called us "miracle workers" . Puel was brought in to devolop the youngsters and re-establish a pathway from the under 21's to the first team. McQueen & Sims would not have got a look in under Koeman. It takes time and patience for a new man to come in and do this. Dec is not the time to be writing the guy off, particularly when midweek games has limited his chance to work on tactics during the week. It does make me laugh that supporters that are the first to jump on Adam Lallanas or Koemans back for bailing out want Puel out before Xmas. "There's no loyalty in football" they cry, before calling for Puels head.
  20. How do you explain at least 2 times he's been highlighted on MOTD as being our main threat & a good buy. Picked out by pundits who are ex pros. Now I realise that expros who make their living watching and commenting on players aren't as knowledgable as you , a bloke who posts on a football forum , but perhaps this indicates he isn't as bad as you make out
  21. Have a word with yourself. There's nothing "apparent" about it.
  22. The Lino having his flag up was the biggest clue
  23. He's as good a manager as Ron,he's just got a worse set of players . Ron had Mane , Pelle & Big Vic and failed in Europe & couldn't get into the League cup semi final.
  24. If I was VvD I'd be thinking , had I scored an absolute sitter in Israel , or an easy chance in Milan or an easy chance in Prague , we'd have qualified
