  1. Not much criticism of VvD tonight, guess he's too good for that. He played like a big time Charlie tonight and has missed 3 absolute sitters in each of our away games.Had he taken just one of them the league would look a lot better
  2. I'm not going to start calling people bed wetters , but some perspective is needed. It is the Europa LEAGUE , a league we need to beat or avoid a goal scoring draw against an Israeli team to get out of. I'd take that any day of the week. We also need to look at the side we've played in this league. Our captain and guanteed starter hasn't kick a ball , 3 other shoe ins ( Davis, Cedric,Bertrand) haven't played or hardly played . That's 3 of our back 4 , not many sides can get away with that and still qualify. As disappointing today is, it's not the end . It's not like Sunderland or Denmark where a shiete performance meant goodnight Vienna, we're still in this. Puel is getting a rough deal on here tonight , but his rotation & tactics can only be judged at the end of the season. 90 odd European games earns him that. I'm hoping the McQueen's, Redwoods & PEH's of the side will learn from this and Puel & the club will finally see that JWP/JRod/Classie are done . Knock out stages , we'd all have taken that from day one. Koeman couldn't even get us into the league , with Mane,Big Vic & Pelle, yet Puel gets dumped on?
  3. Anyone who still thinks JWP is going to come good is deluded . He's hopeless.
  4. Our set piece specialist with 2 shocking corners
  5. 55% of her constituency voted leave. Which means there's a lot of hateful, bigoted people who condone this violence or like most sensible people think this had nothing to do with any referendum. Obviously this doesn't chime with verbal but he does seem to have mental health issues over Brexit.God knows why, maybe Nigel ****ged his Mrs, but he does seem a bit unhinged
  6. Pony George Osborne's mismanagement of the economy is the issue not Brexit. There was never any chance of a surplus, he failed to hit every target he ever set. If you're going to blame Brexit for everything, you're going to let incompetent politicians off the hook.
  7. I got mine at 9.20 this morning. I was amazed it went down to 3 never thought I'd have a sniff .
  8. Probably because Man C , Chelsea or Arsenal didn't want them , didn't need them or didn't think they were worth our valuation.
  9. I can't work out whether people are deluded or on a wind up. We do not have a business model that buys players low and sells high, it's not some sort of master plan that makes our owner rich . It is purely and simply the only way to run a sustainable club that lives within its means and is a result of modern football reality . The game has driven the model, not some sort of plan. I've no doubt Les & Kat would like nothing better that VvD to stay and see out his 6 years and do so within our pay structure. The fact that his performances have taken him into a pay band & career path we can not compete with means he'll go. It is not a desire for the board to "cash in" . We should be grateful that the board is so good at what they do, not slag them off . What do people want? Our recruitment to be so average that nobody wants our players . No doubt they'd be slagged off then, they can't win
  10. McGrory was Cleggys Alister Campbell, so he's used to lying and distortions .
  11. Good point against a Liverpool side that had been flying the last month . Tactically I thought Puel got it spot on , anyone who thinks we could have gone toe to toe with them is deluded . Next Sunday we'll know just how good a point this was. Draw in Prague beat Everton and it'll look like an excellent point
  12. Laughable stuff from Whelk. Quotes the FT, the very same FT that was the euro cheerleader & as late as 2015 was still claiming it was better for us to join. Wrong then-wrong now .
  13. **** me , Europhile paper using Europhile treasury line, and Europhile posters posting it like its gospel. Andrew Neil read out the treasury forecast for an immediate downturn & economic shock following a VOTE TO LEAVE , (note , not when we leave but following a vote to leave as he had to point out time and time again to his dopey Europhile guest) on DP today . Why should we believe anything these chumps say, wrong then - wrong now
  14. The EC ensures that each state is important and that policies broadly help the whole country. If you just elected Presidents on the popular vote, you can win with the large urban areas meaning certain groups and areas get screwed, long term this is unsustainable as the "left behinds" will get even more left behind. It's the exact same reason I'm against FPTP. Had we had a pure PR system the past 100 years , I doubt we'd have ended up with a Scottish Parliament . 5 million voters is nothing whereas 50+ parliamentary seats can bring real pressure to bare.
  15. Lol , what's Timmys response to that?
  16. Course he doesn't. He still hasn't accepted the outcome of Brexit,so you've no chance of him accepting Trumps win. He's one of those that respects democracy provided the "right" side wins
  17. The Fedeal records act requires all Governemnt communication be recorded on Governemnt servers , it also forbids the use of a personal email account for Government business . Therefore I don't quite see what you think is " comical" .
  18. **** me that's rich , you've spent months crying about how the oldies deprived you of your beloved EU.
  19. The bloke posts a decent analysis, and from the US ,& a couple of leftie clowns jump all over him.
  20. Interesting insight , particularly the bit about the GOP. Trump isn't that much of a Republican anyway so it'll be interesting to see how that plays out. The fascinating thing for me is seeing if he can maintain the facade of being an outsider whilst getting things done in Washington.
  21. Wonder who the first European politician The Donald will meet as Pres elect.
  22. At this stage last season we had Mane Pelle Juanmi This season we have Austin Boufal Redmond So we clearly have replaced the players that have left . Whether they are good enough replacements is open to debate, what isn't, is whether we have replaced them or not. Personally I think Austin will score as many goals as Pelle. Redmond is clearly better than Juanmi and at the moment Mane is clearly better than Boufal. However lets judge Boufal when he's fit and compare him to Mane in a Southampton shirt , not Mane in a Liverpool shirt.
  23. Don't worry Fry , we've the top man on the job. From tomorrow's telegraph "Ministers will use Nigel Farage as an unofficial intermediary to build bridges with Donald Trump to ensure the “special relationship” does not falter in the wake of his election. The Telegraph understands that ministers will be forced to seek Mr Farage’s advice because they have no links to the President-elect’s inner circle." "Downing Street said that during the call, Mr Trump said that the UK is a “very, very special place for me and for our country” and suggested that he wants their relationship to be similar to the one enjoyed by Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan."
  24. Looking forward to QT tonight, the sight of lefties crying and whinging from the audience will be great viewing.
  25. What is it with lefties , so called " progressives " & trendy youngsters? They lecture the rest of us on morals, humanity & respect but are totally incapable of embracing the very thing that underpins society , democracy. It only seems to apply when the "right" side wins.
