My fav TV character , absolutely brilliant show . I always thought it was better than " only fools".

****ing up selling the gold pales into insignificance when compared to ****ing up the pensions . Nice one Gordon .

Ken, he is not our best passer of the ball

I can't see him kicking on , but happy to be proved wrong . I just don't think he does anything particularly well , he's a " nearly" player IMO. He seems quite tactically aware , so there's a chance he'll improve . If he bulks up and starts winning tackles he could have a chance, look at Henderson , but he's too airy fairy at the moment. Tadic & lallana get away with it because of their exceptional technique and ability , he's not at that level yet , so without tackling or speed he'll struggle to impose himself . I'm not convinced by him in the number 10 role ,or as a creative midfielder . With his tactical nous and his apparent long range passing ability , he maybe able to convert himself into a DM but needs to strengthen up . Morgan didn't seem to tackle too much at a young age , but he managed it .

Spot on. The comparisons with tennis is so wide of the mark , it's untrue . The Williams sisters and chicks like that would easily beat non pro males from the local tennis club , just as that bird Ennis with the nice arse would outrun most blokes . However , chick footballers are useless . The very best wouldn't even get in a Sunday league side . Women's tennis , athletics , swimming & golf are elite sports , football isn't , despite the bbc lefties trying to tell us it is .

CONFIRMED: Saints sign Juanmi on four-year deal
Lord Duckhunter replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
I'm in Malaga area at the moment and have been speaking to a few locals about the guy . From expats that go to watch them ( the season tickets are dirt cheap evidently ) to taxi drivers & waiters ect . All , without exception , rave about him . The only doubts I've heard are about his size & strength to play in PL . They really do rate him though , looks like he could be a little gem . An English guy said he could be like juninho was at boro -
It's shocking and doesn't deserve any coverage . I'd rather watch a Wessex League game , but the bbc would never cover that . It's the same with the chicks " ashes" , bigged up by the bbc to a level completely unjustified .

Disiplinary punishments in Europa league ?
Lord Duckhunter replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
I thought I read a tweet from David Gold saying that said sending off ban would apply to premier league games -
Do you understand the difference between respecting the guy and wanting him to play for us . Terry Paine is a legend but I wouldn't want him in the side on Thursday .
-
Teddy signed by Brian Clough & sir Alex , won the champions league , FA cup , league titles and played in the top flight most of his career , winning over 50 caps , is on a par with a bloke who played in the lower leagues nearly all his life & won **** all and a handful of caps . I hope you don't embarrass yourself in front of neutrals with your theory .

CONFIRMED - Steven Caulker - DONE DEAL (loan)
Lord Duckhunter replied to washsaint's topic in The Saints
Just having a noggin or 2 in a bar on holiday & get talking to 2 guys from Swansea . They reckon he was different class for them , couldn't praise him highly enough . They reckon he's a perfect match for us -
Anyone who thinks lambert is in the same class as sheringham is deluded .
-
Although he never really had pace , your legs can still " go" without it . His spring and sharpness can go and his legs have a lot of mileage in them . Personally , I think the stop start nature of his Liverpool career is what'll do for him . He needs to play week in week out to maintain his sharpness and it doubt he'll get that at WBA either . Comparisons with Teddy S are wide of the Mark IMO . Teddy was a class above and played most if his career in the top flight , the years of slog will catch up with Rickie . For all his legend status he's played what 50 top flight games and one season in second tier , other than that he's played lower league season in season out .

I was watching a dodgy picture from a bar near Malaga , but I thought we were pretty good. First half excellent , second a bit so -so but the result is everything . Mane looked class but I thought classie ( spelling) struggled . I'm a bit polluted so won't try and spell his name , but the locals I spoke to here reckon the little spainiah fella is class , and the set up for long was special . Let's hope we've got a diamond on our hands .

After an intensive interview process I've now settled on the spainish bar I'll be watching this in. A few scousers in here, moaning about lovren when they saw my polo shirt . 3-0 for me .

Film would be "The last waltz " , the greatest rock film ever made . My book would also have a rock theme" Bill Graham presents " . The auto biography Bill was working on at the time of his death , finished off by someone else using interviews and stuff from the likes of Garcia & Jagger . Amazing story , from escaping the nazis as a German Jew to becoming rocks greatest impresario . Great stuff .

I presume you mean that vunerable 2 year olds with half bakes as parent or parents have their lives enhanced by the environment . Would you say that normal , everyday kids need this at 2 . Personally I kept all my 4 at home till they started school . Two are at grammar school and the older 2 have decent jobs . It obviously helped that they had siblings , but staying at home did them no harm . IF , and it's obviously a big if , everybody was " normal" would it make that much difference ?

Lol lol

No , I go to get away from the snap dragon and her nagging .

We subsidise their child care so they can go to work, pay tax and that tax can be used to subsidise child card .
-
It wants to subsidise child care because it thinks it needs to run our lives . It tries to drive behaviours it approves of. . On the whole the unintended consequences of government interference ****s things up . I personally don't believe government should subsidise child care and I have 4 kids myself . It seems very strange that this so called Tory government tell the poor that they need to consider the financial implications of having more children , and try and re-enforce that message by limiting their welfare to the first 2 , but then subsidise child care. Surely the two are inconsistent . I respect your views but mine is that if the government got the hell out of our lives , things would be cheaper including child care .

CONFIRMED - Virgil Van Dijk joins on Five Year Deal
Lord Duckhunter replied to Brizzie Saints's topic in The Saints
I've always rated Chester . Ok , so he's not the finished article , but he's a decent age for a centre half . Couple of seasons with Jose and I think he could be a real decent player . -
I couldn't disagree more . What's a free market party doing interfering with the free market . Child care costs won't come down whilst government is subsidising them , so they keep going up attracting more and more tax payer money . What's the incentive for a nursery to be competitive ? Nothing . Smaller government would mean less tax , the market would bring down child care costs rather than artificially keeping them high . It's not up to the government to look after people's brats until they go to school .
