If investors in Greek and Spainish banks start to pull their money out of their banks and put it into German & Dutch banks, then the Euro as we know it is over. It's not the ordinary people, as most haven't got a pot to **** in, but institutional investors and the wealthy who are in a position to shift cash overnight from Greece to Germany. For all the political will to keep the Euro together, no matter how much the people themselves want to stay in the Euro, the markets will decide it's fate. And it's not looking good.

It must be a time thing,being 40 odd years ago. I'm surprised there wasn't a bit more about it. He was a major part of the Stax story. And what a story that was, it was at the heart of American music and the story of the '60's Fantastic....RIP

Died at the weekend. Was in the greatest house band of them all, Booker T & the MG's. Played on most of Stax's fantastic recordings backing people like Otis, Sam & Dave, Wilson Pickett. I always prefered Stax to the pop of Motown and along with Steve Cropper were the white members of a racially integrated soul group — one of the first of its kind (it was the USA in the 1960's) RIP

I play football with a couple of coppers and they are both decent normal guys. Some of the storries they tell about Fri/Sat night do make you wonder what sort of ****ing idiots we have produced in this Country. I dont know whther they would shop me or not, as I dont tend to go round drink driving and generally stick to the right side of the law.

So how else do you want to judge a Manager? Trophy's? Hodgson was the first Liverpool manager since before Bill Shankly to not win one. Away results? Hodgson won 1 away league game as Liverpool Manager. Cup? Hodgson became the first Liverpool Manager to lose a cup game to a 4th tier outfit in the whole of their history. Signings? Danny Wilson, Brad Jones , Paul Konchesky , Christian Poulsen , Joe Cole , Raul Meireles, he may not have had the £'s KD had, but he wasted money. The post I was responding to was one that claimed KD had done worse than Hodgson. So I'll ask you, in what measurable way was Hodgsons record better? KD has got an average record since his return, anyone else would have got the bullet by now. But, that does not make Roy Hodgson's record any better. It was even worse than that.

Having listened to Lambert's interview after the last game of the season, I'm pretty certain there's been some unofficial contact from Villa. When asked if he would be Norwich manager next season he paused before saying "we will have to wait and see". Norwich fans were getting their knickers in a twist over losing him to Villa during a phone in, until someone pointed out to them that they had done the same thing to Colchester.It's the same with us, he came to us because he felt we were a better option that Scunny. I hope we dont complain and call him traitor if he moves on. Hopefully that will be many years away.

It's really really sad what's happenening to the Greek people. I have been there a few times and they are wonderful & friendly people. The Portillo programme was really enlightening. The problem was they could borrow money at "German rates" and money was easy to come by. The big point made was that there was a clause in the Maastricht Treaty that there would be no bail out if Euro Zone Countries overreached themselves. The fact was that the markets never believed that, they always knew that the German's and the rest of the Euro Zone would bail out any country that got into difficulty. They therefore lent money to the Greeks, knowing that they couldn't afford it, but knowing that there would be a bail out and they would get most of their money back.The markets knew that the "project" was more important than any rules. The other point made was over ordinary Greek business' and their tax issues. It was said that the Greek tax collection system is a shambles and not even computorised. What happened is that people didn't pay VAT (I think they said it was 25%), and those people are able to undercut everyone else. Therefore they all dodge their VAT because if they dont, they dont get the business and they go bang. It was said that they are not corrupt, but that the system corrupts them.

I watched the Michael Portillo programme on the Euro last night. He travelled to Greece & Germany and spoke to various people and politicans about the Euro. Everybody he spoke to wanted to stay in the Euro from the man on the street to the Greek finance minister. The thing that surprised me the most was the feeling was the same in Germany, they were all committed to the Euro and the EU as a whole. The funniest thing was when he heard the tape in the Radio 2 studio. He had his head in his hands and looked a broken man. Next thing he's hanging around her garden like some sort of stalker. Loved his attempt at a smile, a smile that looked like Jack Nicholson's Joker.

At the end of the day both events were linked to the terrible troubles at football in the 70's and 80's. There is no point in getting sanctimonious about it. There were dozens of clubs whose supporters would have charged other supporters, and the Semi Final tradegy could have happened to any club. Scousers turned up ****ed, without tickets and all at once. Well so did most club's supporters. The issue with the 96 is the sense of injustice, the way it was reported and the cover up that occured afterwards. had the same thing happend at one of our 80's semi finals, I'm damn sure we'd be feeling the same way.

1. Bally- Should have stayed, fitted the club. Great knowledge, enthusiasm and was loved by the fans. Great ride for 18 months, whether it would have lasted, who knows? 2. WGS, mainly because he got us to a cup final and a decent league placing. 3. Hoddle-Was at his best for us, but has done nothing of note since. Messed up for England when he really could have been fantastic. Strange bloke. The bloke I feel sorry for was Chris Nicholl, did a pretty decent job, but following Lawrie was an impossible task. Shows how great Lawrie was, the hardest job in football is replacing a legend and he replaced Ted and took us to another level. If Nigel does half as well as Lawrie, he'll do for me...............

NC's vision of the club is very similar to what Lowe's was, Imho. The big difference is that NC is the real deal and Lowe was a bit 2 bob. As soon as they came to the club ML & NC spent big (in League 1 terms), to give us a boost. There was no pussy footing around, Wotte was out and a big manager (again in League 1 terms ) was in. After that intial hit of money, we've spent carefully and built solid foundations.Lowe would never have taken that step, and spent money on Lambert ect. The whole set up now is pretty much as Lowe would have wanted, and I do wonder what he is thinking now. That's not to say Lowe was good, his vision was good, but he cocked it up in practise. NC "seems" to be putting into practise.

I feel our journey has made me appricate the other side of football. I've enjoyed the days out, and meeting dedicated passionate supporters of smaller clubs. I felt our first couple of season's down, some of our supporters had a Billy Big ******** attitude,with a "we're here for the season" attitude. I honestly feel that our journey has given us a bit of humility.We had a whole generation of support that only knew the Premiership. In the long run it was good that Lowe, Crouch and Wilde moved on, and it's great what we have now. But, it could of been so very different. League 1 was ok for 2 seasons, but after that the club would have stagnated and become a very misreable place. The graet thing was clearly moving stright through the NPC, because that is a bloody hard league to get out of.

I think St Mary's is in a cracking place and much prefer city centre grounds. Only time will tell if we need to expend to 40,000. Personally, I would like us to and feel we need to. Train station is a no go as far as I'm concerned. By the time I've queued up to get on the train, I could have walked to Central and had a pint on the way. Traffic is an issue, but surely it's the council's job to find a solution to that, Maybe park and ride, I dont know. But surely it's in everyone's interests for an extra 8,000 people to come into the city every home game. 3 or 4 times a season my Mrs and Daughter come up with us and go shopping whilst we're at the game, and I'm sure others are the same. I love away days in London and other city centre grounds, far more than grounds built in the middle of nowhere. Provided we get the away fans in and out safely, the city should welcome supporters with open arms. How much revenue do supporters bring into the cities pubs and food outlets each Sat? The only supporters that will have issues are ones that want to come in, watch football and drive stright home. The rest can go to pubs, for something to eat, and make their own way home at different times. The way I look at it, if you want to rush home and sit in traffic, that's your decision. The people shopping ect and not attending the match, must know what time the game ends and leave the City accordingly. Long term, I would love the council and the club to work together and devolop the area around the stadium. It could keep Marcus' family interested as I'm sure they will be a lot of money to be made if that happens. But, at the end of the day people line NC know far more about it than us, and I trust the guy to deliver what is best for the club.

Ahhhh, this is doing my head in. When I click on network connection details it gives me an IP address, but it still has limitted or no connectivety. When I run troubleshoot it says that it cant renew my ip address. Any ideas,
