The UK under labour.

We need to keep singing it, when on TV. Much better than "are you watching" which everyone does. I like it, because you can jig around a bit to it,but love the fact that we've thrown it back at them. It's such a better version than there's, WTFILN hits the nail on the head, whereas they didn't send us down, Man Utd did. I hope we keep singing it.

If there is a membership scheme, then we can be pretty certain that it'll be S/T holders followed by members. If there's no membership, then it'll remain a shambles on a match to match basis.

God, I do hope this thread has become a wind up, because I'd hate to think there really are such ignorant posters amongst our fan base. Talk about typical Scousers has to be some kind of joke. It is a massive, diverse area with all sorts of people. Criminals, scroungers, decent people, friendly people, muppets, chavs, hard working family people. In fact it's a bit like Southampton really, I've meet some right planks from Southampton. On the whole I have found the Scousers I've met to be second only to Dubliners in terms of friendship and hospitality, but then I've never meet a "typical Scouser", just dozens of different people from Liverpool. I really dont recongnise the picture painted on here.They have a sense of community and family that just does not exist in other areas.I would much rather spend an evening in the pub with a few scousers, than some of the bores on here. PS, I presume Rickie Lambert doesn't qualify as a "typical Scouser" because he plays for us.

I like people from Liverpool, having worked abroad with dozens of them. The ones I know are loyal, hard working, funny and very generous people. I have stayed with their families before Saints games, and their hospitality has been unbelievable. I certainly dont recongnise the picture of them some of our posters have painted on here. If 96 Saints fans had died as a result of incompetance, if we had suffered 20 years of cover up and false accusations about that day, I'm pretty sure we'd be pretty bitter about it. FFS people moan about a £3 sales charge like it's the end of the world.It seems like we can moan about "ticket tax", people dressing up, and people singing OWTS too quickly, yet they complain about the death of their brothers, sisters, Dads and fellow supporters and they're told to stop being victims. As for the National Anthem, I refuse to sing it. It's a dirge, that has had it's day. I refuse to sing about some old dear that "reins over me" on the basis that her family maimed and killed our forefathers.

Going to be even funnier if Fat Sam messes it up now. They've hammered Blackpool twice, would love it if they lose to them.

I would have liked them to clear the pitch and then done a lap of honour on Sat, rather like the Sheff Utd game. It will be interesting to see what happens to Man C next Sunday, whether they manage a lap of honour and players celebration on the pitch.

I read an interesting article over the weekend which said that Hollande had toned down his left wing rhetoric between the first vote and the run off. This was for 2 reasons. He had the left wing votes in his pocket already, they were never going to vote for Sarkozy. But more interestingly, he realised that he would not have the money to pay for some of his more wilder claims (hiring 60,000 new teachers being one of them, reducing the retirement age to 60 another). It's very very easy to talk about "plans for growth", but a damn sight harder to make it happen. If he follows through with his promises, he will leave the Country in more debt and in an even bigger mess than it is already. It will be interesting to see how the markets react and what rate of interest the French will be paying on borrowed money in 2 years time. You will not be able to tell if this was a shift to the left or an anti Sarkozy vote until the parliamentary elections in June. Anybody who thinks this will be the end of the Euro is barking up the wrong tree. The French & German elite are wedded to the idea no matter how much damage it causes their countries. Already a German minister said after this election result that "growth" targets can be added to the deal signed a couple of months ago. For "growth" he really means that the French will be allowed to fudge the figures and not stick to the agreed spending limits.

My issue is the timing of any financial fair play rules.There is a point where the clubs that have benefitted pull up the ladder behind them. Why should clubs like Wigan & Fulham benefit from Premiership TV money, and clubs like Brentford & Northampton not be allowed to follow the same route as them? It's ok for Man C to benefit from massive owner spending because that was before , now if Bill Gates wanted to do a Man C with Southampton, that would not be allowed. The way to stop financial mismangement is to make the punishments extremely harsh. At present we are looking at it from the wrong end and all that will happen is the rich will get richer and the gap between rich and poor will increase even more. If Man Utd ect started doing their own TV and internet deals it would further enhance the bigger clubs advantage.They will be looking at ways to increase revenue to stay within the rules. TV deals is a great way of doing so.

Did OK, nothing more, nothing less. Personally, I didn't warm to the bloke and felt he came to the end of the road and should have gone regardless of any accusations. I also felt that Lowe bottled it slightly and should have just sacked him for results. I felt he wanted Hoddle in and hid behind the "giving him time off to clear himself" line. I think Lowe wanted him out and Hoddle in, but was afraid of the negitive headlines, because of the situation DJ was in.

Why do people get their knickers in such a twist over more people wanting tickets for the bigger games? It happens to every club . Did the Beatles fans from 1960 start waving their Cavern tickets at Shea Stadium and moan about JCL's. When things get popular, people jump on the bandwagon ot want to watch. There would be something seriously wrong if our attendances remained the same after promotion. My opinion is that tickets will be the harder to get hold of this season, and without some sort of membership I may get a S/T even though I'll miss a few games. It was why I kept one at The Dell even though I missed games. When I see what the proposals are, what the cost is, and (if possible) the allocation of away tickets, I'll make a decision.

I dont normally watch it, but the kids love it. After being p***ed or away for the past few sat's I watched it with them. Thought it was a bit of a strange programme. What talent does it take to put a sausepan on your head and pretend to be a dalek? I also thought that old bird with her daughter had quite a good voice. Cowell was quite rude to her, but I bet if she had a swimming costume on and a nice arse, he would have put her through. I was surprised at David Walliams because I always thought he was a t @t but I thought he came across as a nice guy. The black girl is a waste of space and what on earth's happend to Miss Titley, she used to be well fit, but looks like a wax work dummy now. Ant and Dec are the best thing on the show in my opinion, because they are not taking it too seriously.

Bart has to go. I would bring in an older guy as a number 2 and identify a long term sucseesor to Kelvin and get him in, before loaning him out for the season. Back up keeper is the hardest job in football and my opinion is that it needs to be an older pro.

I had a S/T for years and if all the games were 3pm Sat, would have continued to do so. Sunday and Sat lunchtime games are a bit of a struggle, work wise. I have never missed a big game and have always managed to get a ticket. However, the last 2 years it has been close a couple of times.The "database" free for all, is making it tougher and therefore I'm hoping that some sort of membership will be reinstated so that big games/away games tickets can be based on sales history. Without that I'm seriously thinking about getting a S/T and taking a hit on the games I miss, or passing the S/T for someone else for the games I'll miss. I really do think that the feelgood factor will push S/T sales right up, and tickets will be harder and harder to get.

Not quite sure what an "independant voter" is. Is it someone who votes for an independant or is it someone who goes to the polling station alone? As an independant poster, I think it's unfair that the electrol system favours one party over the other, and I also think it's unfair that Scottish and Welsh MP's vote on matters that are devolved .

We had that option last year. Equal number of voters per constituency. English votes only on devolved issues.

You also need to factor in the number of Labour MP's in Scotland & Wales that are allowed to vote on devolved issues.Had it been the other way round, with less Tory votes needed, and English Tory MP's voting on issues that only affect Scotland the BBC, Labour Party and the Unions would be up in arms about it. I would love to see some of our resident lefties try and defend this unfairnness with the same passion they attack FPTP.

Correct, Labour is being completely dishonest about this. The Torys and Darlings plan had a ciggie paper between them. I watched Harriot Harperson on QT last night and it was a woeful performance. Praising the leftie in France, despite his policies being completely opposite to Labour's. Complaining about every cut and every job loss, despite the fact that Labour planned to cut jobs. Blaming the Tories for all the woes now, but the American banks for all the woes when they were in office. Theo Paphitis hit the nail on the head. The "rich" give away more money than they try to "hide" in tax aviodence and the reason he gives money away is because if you give it to Governments, they waste it. What the Country needs to wake up to is that the word "cut" is being distorted by everyone. If I spent £1,000 on beer this year and then spend £850 on beer next year, that is a cut in the amount of money I spend on beer. If I spend £1000.10p on beer, that is not a cut, it is a below inflation increase. I dont think Mrs Duck will accept the arguemet that I have cut the money I spend on beer, despite it going up 10p. The opposition, the BBC and the unions are making out there are severe cuts in state spending, there are not. There needs to be, but nobody has the balls to do it. Slowing down spending increases is not a cut. You can bet your bottom dollar that by the end of the parliament state spending will have been cut by about 2%, and yet the Labour party will be deceiving everyone into believing that we have suffered severe "cuts".

This is obviously a sensitive subject and people need to tread carefully. What happened to the McCanns was horrific and nobody deserve what they are going through. Lets just hope and pray that she was "taken" by a childless couple and is being cared for, and is not suffering. That said, they must take some responsibility for what happened. We have 4 children and at no time have any of them been left alone until they reached about 13. We have had family holidays since my oldest was 6 months old, and if we wanted to go out, we took them with us. In fact, Mrs Duck would not be able to enjoy herself and relax, knowing that the kids were alone. Had I even suggested it, there would have been a massive row and I'm pretty sure she would speak out if friends of ours did it. It is just not done. Because they are middle class professional people and as pointed out earlier, she's a bit of a MILF. They have become the media darlings. Had it been a single Mum from Liverpool, she would be in hiding by now and more than likely had the other kids taken away by Social Services. If Maddie is found, they'll have to face her and answer the question "why did you leave me alone". I dont accept that they had anything to do with it, mainly because there is no body or eveidence. These were not professional hit man, who could dispose of evidence. I'm pretty sure that had there been a terrible accident, then they would not have been able to cover their tracks. Even the bodged police investigation would have turned up something.

If it was every week, then maybe you would have a point. What's the harm in people dressing up for Xmas or last game. It's not like people go week in, week out in fancy dress.

He's a decent bloke, who runs a good pub. It was a saints fan who kicked off with another saints fan in there after the game, nothing to do with him being a Skate. I spoke to him afterwards and he was saddened by the whole thing, couldn't understand why it would kick off on a day like that, when we were supposed to be celebrating. The bloke who kicked off was ****ed as a rat, and out of order, it happened right in front of us. On another note, Sky Sports News filmed the celebrations in there before it kicked off (the agrro, not the game), did anyone ever see any footage of it because I haven't seen any mention of it.

What makes Westwood "unique" is that he turns up every week dressed as a tw*t,same as that Tango guy, whereas most other clubs confine it to Santas at Xmas and the end of season. I used to quite like a theme, I remember flat caps and squeeky dog's toys at a game away at West Ham as a "tribute" to Alan Ball. Wasn't there also a Frannie tribute one year? Perhaps that's the way to go, last away game of the season have a theme. I cant see any harm in that. Maybe this year it should have been mullet's after NA's Utube Tranmere thing. Personally, I wear what I wear and that's it. But is there any harm in the "fashion police" relaxing the rules for the Xmas game, and the last away or home game of the season? Surely there are more important things in life than worrying about what people wear to football.

Mine was leaving London Road and hearing that West Ham had only drawn at Bristol City. Changed the whole nature of the away game at Boro and meant a win against Cov would be enough.
