  1. Imagine what it would be like under Michael Foot or Jeremy Corbyn . An anti semitic old fool, who would have made the racist Abbott Home Secretary, and Foot, who actually had a manifesto commitment to leave The EEC. Those were the alternatives that Soggy preferred, we wouldn’t have needed Nigel, Soggys choice would have had us out years before.

  3. His fan club on here are quick to point out ones that aren’t mistakes, but that’s not the main criticism on here. We are constantly pointing out that he’s not expected to save them all, but some would be nice. For every 10 that werent mistakes last season, I reckon a decent keeper would have saved 3 of them at least. I’ve never seen a keeper with weaker hands, never seen one beaten so much after getting his hand to an effort. Lots of his goals are in the “should he have done better” bag for my liking, and I’m not seeing any “how did he save that” saves yet.
  4. He was probably working on other things, like getting us out of the whole rotten corrupt thing. He spent years and years going up and down the country, fighting elections he had no chance of winning, giving speech after speech, attending conference after conference, all to get us out of The EU. When he started it was a small minority issue & it was inconceivable we’d get a referendum let alone vote to leave. Along with The Great Lady & Blair he’s been the most influential person in politics the past 50 years. The fact he did it outside of Parliament is testimony of his hard work and dedication to the cause. When you think, great Parliamentarians like Tony Benn couldn’t get us out, to have done so as an outsider is quite remarkable. The easy & lazy thing for him to have done is hitched his wagon to the Tory party, got a safe seat & joined Bill Cash & his motley crew in talking about leaving, but doing fuck all about it.
  5. He’s getting better all the time , but as John Lennon wrote “it can’t get no worse”.
  6. Wolves were the biggest whingers last season. Constantly moaning and demanding apologies, including Leminas red at our place. From the athletic “After 10 months of ranting and frustration, of Sunday apologies from Howard Webb, the head of referees’ body the PGMOL, of friendly chats, less friendly chats, angry conversations and letters of complaint, Wolves have simply given up hoping for better.” The Liverpool decision was horrendous. There’s no doubt a large proportion of our fan base would be demanding a reply had that happened to us. I’d hope the club would show more class than they have, but our supporters would be exactly the same. Some still bang on about Gabbi’s goal fucking years ago.
  7. 😂😂😂 Funniest post for months.
  8. You don’t half come out with some pony. Completely clueless. The one thing Nigel isn’t is lazy. If there was a remoaner capable of putting half the effort in he did to get out the EU, you may get another vote. You don’t become one of the most influential politicians of this century by being “lazy”.
  9. It was on Simon Jordan podcast. Overall he came across pretty well I thought.
  10. What success?
  11. I’ve still got a Branfoot out tee shirt somewhere.
  12. Why doesn’t that surprise me. A load of clipboard warriors checking up on people going about their daily lives. Cars have never been safer & I doubt many kids are hit by cars travelling between 20-30 MPH. All it’ll do is inconvenience law abiding folk.
  13. I always thought it was in response to Branfoot saying he wasn’t going anywhere. A joke (not particularly funny) based on that’s the only way he leaves the club. It didn’t strike me as a particularly hate filled, although written down it clearly looks bad. It was blown a bit out of proportion, but as you say, repeated now & plod would probably feel your collar. I remember one gathering in the car park, can’t remember the game, & plod had stationed 2 wooden tops on Branfoots car. Someone pointed out that his tax disc was out of date by a few days & reported it to one of the coppers . His reply was “fuck off & grow up “. Different times.
  14. Why’s this in the lounge?
  15. Because he thinks people crossing the channel are acting illegally. Therefore the people helping them are criminal gangs. If you think these people are genuine asylum seekers acting legally, then surely the people helping them are simply helping the oppressed and persecuted reach a safe country. Who cares if their boats don’t conform with regulations, or theyre not a “legitimate ferry service”. If I was fearing for my life and needed somebody to help me find a safe country where I can claim asylum, I wouldn’t really care how they got me there. I certainly would want them prosecuted or called a “criminal gang”.
  16. They’re helping people claim asylum, people who are doing nothing illegal, just fleeing from persecution & danger. Does it really matter that their boats don’t comply to the letter of the law?
  17. Are the people arriving from France in small boats acting illegally or not? If they are legally attempting to seek asylum, then it stands to reason that the people facilitating their arrival are also acting legally.
  18. I couldn’t give a shiny shite what they wear for the warm up, never see it anyway.
  19. So what you’re saying is some pay to do so, but others are taken over against their will. I presume the ones brought over against their will, want to go back to France if they end up with the British Authorities. How many of those “forced” to come over, end up staying? And what % of room on the boats are used for these “forced” people. If I was one of these ruthless criminal gang members, I’d want paying punters on board rather than “forced” people. Particularly as my two customer groups have entirely different goals. My legal asylum seekers actual want the British authorities to find them (so that they can claim asylum), whereas the people doing the trafficking don’t want the “forced” people to come to the authorities attention. It is a bit of a conundrum, no wonder they’re paid so much. Personally, if I was trafficking people against their will, I wouldn’t try and get them into the country via a rickety boat across a dangerous stretch of water. I certainly wouldn’t want them travelling with legal asylum seekers either. If they don’t make it, or get caught I’ve lost my dough.
  20. I haven’t really got much of a problem with that. Looks like an interesting group of ex players, could be a decent night. “The great escape” bit is obviously pony, I tend to look at the season Bally arrived as that, but it’s just a bit of marketing. I’m the first with criticism when we cross the line into noddyness but I don’t think we have this time. I’m all for more of these ex players dos, shame Mattys probably persona non grata if any more are scheduled. The 70’s guys are probably a bit old, but I’d pay good money to attend one comprising of players from the 80’s.
  21. Source?
  22. Pissed off? You wanted us to go down, that’s pretty fucking poor.
  23. What’s criminal about helping asylum seekers arrive in the country they want to claim asylum in?
