If, IF, IF, we are looking at spending around 20m on a winger then that suggests to me that we must have a decent budget for this summer because surely centre back, striker and arguably right back are higher priorities. It also makes me wonder if we’ve already agreed some deals for outgoing players.

This Sunday?

I don't think anyone gives a toss about Baldrick's political opinions per se, but the question is whether he is reflective of many hitherto Labour stalwarts. I remember seeing Baldrick campaigning for Labour in the streets of Cardiff in the 2001 general election. He's gone from someone willing to give up their time to pound the pavements for a party to someone willing to leave it altogether. If you alienate moderates, you don't have a rosy future. The question is how many moderates are Corbyn and McDonnel alienating?

I agree with this, IF the premise that he will improve physically is correct. But we don't know and, depending on our overall budget, it could be a costly gamble. I do like him as a player and his ability to drop off and create chances is very useful.

In a League One team, maybe.

I think Sims is a sub at best, sadly. Too untidy on the ball for PL. I agree about strikers but can't see us shifting Austin and Long and Gallagher and/or getting out of the Ings deal. Plus we need to shift Carillo again for next season (unless Ralph rates him). I forgot about Cedric!

I agree, but unfortunately we will be stuck with most of the current bunch for a while because they are mostly overpaid relative to their ability.

I don't think anyone blames Gao for the current squad. The criticism of Gao is: - failed the owners test initially - seemed to struggle to raise the cash or to get cash out of China - zero evidence of any sort of strategy -zero engagement with UK fans That's the problem with Gao.

Here's what I think, being realistic about the amount of sales and purchases that are likely to happen: Gunn McCarthy (why would he leave to sit on a different bench?) Forster (no one will want him) Valery ***New*** Yoshida Vestergaard Bednarek ***New*** Bertrand Targett Hojbjerg Lemina Romeu ***New*** Reed JWP Boufal Redmond Armstrong Long Obafemi Ings ***New*** We need to add: A right back, so we have two of them (unless Reed can do it) A better CB A midfielder who can pass A striker who can bring others into the game and finish Obviously it would be great to add another attacking midfielder but are we going to sign 5 quality players? Doubt it. So outs are Stephens, Hoedt, Gallagher, Austin. I'm sure we would like to get rid of a keeper but I don't know if that will happen. The other question is whether someone like Yoshida wants a move. Maybe something like that could happen, or if we got a big bid for Lemina.

It usually is.

We could get stuffed here.

Stephens FFS
-
We're really good.
-
Forster.... Oh dear.
-
Redmond could've scored there!
-
Do we have to sign Ings? Seems like a nice guy and he has quality but he's capable of a good 30 minutes once a week. That's not what we need. Ideally we'd keep Long and Obafemi so we are sorted for pace and clear out all our other strikers.
-
Indeed. Let's say Elyonnousi and Stephens have good games. Then what? That buys them another season? Maybe it's a good thing we're dreadful today
-
It was a terrible pass to no-one by Valery. Stephens is a League One standard defender but that wasn't his fault.
-
It's both.
-
In general we're terrible on the ball. So many players who routinely miss-place passes or dally with it. Most opposition chances against us come from cheap turnovers.

I'll be shocked if we get a point with that ****e lineup.
