The balance issues weren't due to the number of centre backs, they were due to the number of central midfielders. A fairly flat 3 behind 2 forwards. We have been better offensively when we've had 2 centre midfielders behind 2 advance midfielders and one forward.
The 352 makes sense when it's a backs to the wall away job but at home the 3421 is much better to watch.
I thought Ralph got that one wrong tactically for most of the game. The 352 was too defensive and Ings and Redmond weren't getting any service. I would have preferred 3421 with Armstrong in there. Most of our best play this season has come when Armstrong and Redmond have been on the ball.
Didn't have a great view of their goal but it looked very saveable to me.
Valery did pretty well. Targett had a bit of a mare but did well for our goal. Hopefully Bertrand is back soon.
Bednarek made yet another incredible clearance stopping a certain goal. Probably our best player.
Hojbjerg, Romeu and JWP were too flat and too strung out across the pitch. My tactical gripe.
I'd like to see us a bit more positive in the next couple of matches and hopefully we can add someone tomorrow as we are very thin at the moment.
Why have they gone off Redknapp then? Do they accept the cup win was a fraud?
This is also a strange song as Kevin Bond seems to be the villain. It's odd to have a song about an assistant manager from years ago. But they are odd.
Pretty sure it was a few divs. If it was lots of people then that simply shows there were lots of divs.
In either case, the point is that anyone who understood football knew Mane was class and knows Mo has shown nothing of the sort.
I'm not saying they are terrible, or even bad, or that the people involved aren't all very commendable. It was probably a poor choice of phrase. I just doubt they have the resources that some other places have.
