Sounds like he got carried away and later acknowledged he'd been a knob. Do you have any friends and have you ever been in a decent sports team? I have (both) and some people acted like far bigger knobs than that on occasion but were still nice fellas. Anyway, I don't really care if Bellamy is a knobber or not so I'm leaving it at that.

Has Hoedt been rumoured to be going anywhere? Not even in the squad yesterday so clearly Ralph has no intent of selecting him anytime soon. If we can shift Davis, Gabbi and Hoedt I don't see why we can't go for it least one ambitious signing.
-
Really? Everyone I've heard who speaks of Bellamy says he's really nice guy off the pitch. Keane is obviously a total ****-head, I agree there.
-
Certainly a tactic Stephens is a big fan of.

Rubbish today. Redmond 9 out of 10. Everyone else 5 or 6 at best. When I saw the team and the shape I wasn't expecting us to play like Brazil but tactics and shape are no excuse for failing to play simple 15 yard passes or for terrible decision making. Still, I count 8 players absent so you could say a draw us a decent result in isolation. At least we'll know who we're playing before the replay and whether it's worth going through or not. Also, could Hojbjerg use up his last match ban in the replay?

There's a week between the two games. No need to rest everyone. My guess is that Bednarek might get a rest as he's played virtually every minute under Ralph, I think. Sounds like Targett is back, which is good, so Cedric can play RB. Probably a back 3 of Stephens, Vestergaard and Ramsey. I'm guessing JWP will continue in CM. Romeu probably rested. Slattery and Armstrong behind Long. Just a guess. -
No offence, but I think that's ********. He did really well tonight, up against one of the best 3 players in the league.
-
Yes, it's so frustrating. Championship level execution, at best, from a lot of our guys.
-
Great effort. Well played linesman. Well played Moss for ignoring that cock Alonso. Yoshida man of the match. Absolutely immense. Gunn showed excellent positioning, although the saves werr routine, mostly. Long did better than Ings, although he still remains the clumsiest footballer around. Armstrong and Redmond did well but they both lack that final star quality in the last third. The difference between a Mane and a Redmond. Romeu and JWP were ok although once again the opposition bypassed our entire midfield with one simple ball when we had an attacking deadball (throw-in in forward right position). Valery did his job admirably against Hazard and Vestergaard was excellent. Bednarek steady, as usual. Cedric grew into the game in the second half but turd quality on the ball in the final third. Great point, though.
-
Exactly. We will get men forward then give it away cheaply.
-
He's had several chances to get his foot on it and roll a defender or go down. I'd give him another ten then stick Long on.
-
Very good defensively. Yoshida in particular has been immense. Man of the match so far. Also mad props to Valery and Vestergaard. Cedric crap. Need more from Ings. Obviously he hasn't had any chances but he needs to get in front of the centre backs and win us some free kicks. We give the ball away so cheaply when attacking sometimes, it's very frustrating. Overall though, got to be happy with that.

Hope that cockle Alonso suffers a comeuppance today. Nasty player who gets away with it because he sounds exotic and has a granny's hairdo.
-
He probably will.
-
Absolutely.
-
What he sees is that Hojbjerg is suspended, Lemina isn't fit and Davis is over the hill. That's what he sees in JWP.
-
Bad attitude?

Neil Allen's award - Bellend d'Or.

Very good summary, although if I need a defender I'm having Bednarek over Stephens any day. I agree in particular about the wing backs being far too deep. The team selection in the first place looked like a white flag but when we took off Romeu for Valery you knew we had given up. If we get something at Chelsea then it'll be justified I guess but, frankly, I'm not expecting much from the next three games. The run of games after Leicester away will be critical.
-
I think he played the ball through for the chance Austin fluffed? Let's give him some credit. I think he looks more like a playmaker than a winger/forward, which is odd as I think we thought we were buying a winger/forward. Obviously a massive disappointment overall though.
-
No, JWP was playing right wing back from the last third of the first half until Valery came on. But he was far too deep most of the time and it was like a flat back five. You need to pay attention.

Yes. The 6 match run after the Leicester game is key

He wasn't.
