The issue of what is acceptable in comedy and the lady's offence, in this case, are separate IMO. The lady, I'm sure, was genuinely offended. She is a massive hypocrite, however. In her defence I think this has been blown up by the media - she was on 5Live on Friday. Apparently she originally just put something on Twitter to tell her mates about the show and then the media got in touch and it all snowballed....

Hi all, which pub will everyone be in before the match? One on Gloucester Road I guess? Cheers, benjii

Yeah, that's odd too. Maybe he wants to get his hands dirty (metaphorically!) with a club as opposed to staying with the regulators. If he can do a good job there it would look good in his CV as he's going to have one hell of a challenge!

EDIT: I can't say anything sensible because this sort of person makes me so angry (not you, Dr Pepper matey et al).
-
Why the hell does the state feel it has a responsibility to house someone with 17 convictions anyway? It is mental.

Seems odd to appoint a new CEO as any new owner would be likely to want to appoint their own man. This says to me that there is virtually no chance of there being a new owner any time soon.

What a disgusting bunch. And we will have the pleasure of paying for the upbringing of their next urchin and no doubt more after that. They have shown they are incapable of looking after a property graciously given to them; they should be slung on the street and their children taken into care. EDIT: actually, that should have already happened long ago. Scum.

He did indeed. I chuckled though when he tries to replicate his goal against Cardiff at one point Good for him though.

Yay, go me! I am the football genius.

And Peter Storrie is a legend

Ahh, back to normal. Phew. You don't think signing Tosic, Owusi and O'Hara in January was cheating? Just a teeny bit? It was financial doping. Anyway, however you dress it up, PFC continues to be a quite disgusting example of what everyone loathes about the business of football.

Oh do stop this tiresome drivel. Do you think corporate insolvencies are done and dusted in a couple of weeks? They are screwed. They were never likely to get wound-up as a result of HMRC's petition; they were always likely to enter admin first. The only reason some people, including me, thought they might actually get wound-up at that point was because the people pulling the strings have a criminal past and genuinely didn't seem to give two hoots what happened. They are clearly screwed. Unless you think someone uber-rich is going to buy them, they will be screwed for years.

Wow, I think that's what those in certain professions call a "breakthrough". Have you been having counseling/treatment?
-
I see it as emminently sensible. Good for you.
-
Hahaha. Quality ****-take.
-
Absolutely. It comes to something when you have to keep an obnoxious, disgusting, hypocritical, thick slob like Prescott around just to maintain a veneer of having not completely abandoned your principles.
-
Your comment certainly is. Explain the logic then: Chief Exec made loads of money > we should renationalise the gas industry. I can't see the jump myself.
-
I've no idea. Most "bankers" don't need supporting. I presume you have a counter-argument then or would you just prefer to say something glib about Thatcher or some other by-gone age?
-
Why? The public sector can't run a **** up in a brewery. This is the sad jealousy of the Labour supporters. Someone earnt loads of money therefore it must be bad and some of it should have gone to some little oik somewhere. It is a complete drop in the ocean of the amount of money wasted on stupid and poorly executed plans by the public sector year on year.

Was the stuff about Down's funny?
-
Yes, woe betide fostering a culture that supports achievement and ambition rather than stealing from the succesful to support the weak.
-
You ok?

Oh, yeah, nudge nudge, wink wink. "Pinball engineer" eh?
