FFS. Go to the best uni you can get into. Wherever you go you will have a great time (with maybe one or two very rare exceptions). Go to the best, in academic terms, university that you can get into.

We were incompetent and rubbish but we didn't try to run and hide. We didn't have numerous former officers and employees facing criminal charges. We didn't have close connections to convicted international criminals and money launderers.

Would you sign Papa Waigo N'Diaye on a permanent basis?

But this is just not true. -
I vote we get reinstated just for the comedy value of the Pompey fans having to swallow that. (But they won't get wound-up on Friday, although they might go into admin tommorrow).

I find that Margaret Thatcher summed up my position quite well in 1990: ‘Many of the precautionary actions that we need to take would be sensible in any event. It is sensible to improve energy efficiency and use energy prudently; it's sensible to develop alternative and sustainable energy sources; it's sensible to replant the forests which we consume; it's sensible to re-examine industrial processes; it's sensible to tackle the problem of waste."

I was interested to see that the highest paid officer of Miland Developments 2004 took home £1.9m (as salary) in the last published year. An 81% increase. Not bad on losses of £17m. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/resources/files/8275

Well, bascially.... I just can't see how they can continue the fudge any longer. This changes the ball-game. This is a sworn statement to the court. Porky-pies will be a big no-no. I predict mass resignations tomorrow or Wednesday at PFC, assuming that Vantis are doing the job properly and there is no takeover.

Just done a bit of digging around into Statements of Affairs. They're shafted.

Are you going to sign up?

I heard that the Collective of United National Turnaround Stevedores from Portsmouth started the whole thing.

Maybe he will. By its very nature, improvement requires time. Most of his recent starts before the last two or three games seem to have been in the cups; mostly against League One teams and his return is pretty good IMO. Frankly, this is one of those occasions where I think anyone who doesn't agree with me is just a bit clueless as it's so screamingly obvious that he's a very good player at this level. -

We will probably be in League One. He is far better than League One standard. Quite simply, therefore, he should be signed. -
Ok mate, that's cool.

Might get to the semis but Birmingham should be favourites and anyway, at that stage they'll probably come up against Villa or Chelsea and that will be that. Actually, are the semis after 1 March? They probably won't make it that far.

LOL at the first paragraph. Christ, you actually believe them! And as to the second... er.. if you need money you haven't got yet to pay your liabilities as they fall due you're insolvent. HTH.
-
I'm not sure you need to look to Government to find that attitude - I expect it comes from HMRC themselves.
-
Merovingian - the point is this: you are subject to insolvency proceedings and you are increasing your outgoings. Do you not find that a wee bit suspicious?
-
HMRC want them wound up - there can be no doubt about that. If they didn't they wouldn't have served a winding up petition and their barrister wouldn't have gone for the jugular. If the PL advance them some money then it has to come with a points deduction. This then means relegation and no parachtue payment = insolvency next year instead.

The player on the pitch who seemed the most passionate about the occasion was Lallana and it's probably not a coincidence that he came through the youth them in the way that Gerrard, Carragher and other dirty northerners have done.
-
That would be interesting but I think our next match is Norwich away (?) and I reckon we might wait for an "easier" fixture before trying out such an attacking line-up. At least we have some options anyway.

Dunno.
