Two games against Chelsea, which is more important?

You obviously didn't read the fine print. If you say that, not only do we lose both, the genie will also turn you into a frog. -

If it's survival vs cup win I'd choose survival (another thread). But that's not the question here, so I'd choose the semi-final win. We'd still have a decent chance of survival if we lose against them in the league, since we don't have the clown in charge any more. And the other winnable/6 pointer games against West Ham, Swansea etc. are more important. -
Our best 3 signings since returning to the premier league

And all three were sold just before Puel came in. -

No comparison, we were safe that time so could afford to play a weakened team. This time we are guaranteed to be playing our strongest team in the league game against them, for obvious reasons. -
Corrected for you. Here's a fact: We’ll start scoring if we buy a striker who can score goals. Something Les Reed seems incapable of understanding.

Wigan 0 Saints 2 - Post Match Thread

Yes he's 100 times better on the left, ditto Redmond on the right. I was disappointed that they both were on the wrong sides again. Hopefully MH will figure this out before West Ham (unlike the dunce who's left who could never figure it out). -
At least the equation is simple for us this year. https://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?56460-Europa-League-Qualification-question

Guido Carrillo - Official: Free Transfer to Elche
Dark Munster replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
So in summary, he's not that good in the air, can't tackle, is weak on the ball, and has poor positioning. And also is a striker who doesn't score. I can't comment on his passing, because he usually doesn't have the ball long enough to try to make one. Pretty impressive for our record signing. -

Unfortunately not possible, SG has been loaned out for the whole season with no recall. Another genius move by Reed. -

And put in some damned good crosses. -
Not completely, unfortunately.

I know revenge is dish best served cold, but isn't that taking it a bit far?

Yes, let's hope the first leg isn't a blowout (either way), so that they have everything to play for in the second leg (unlike our match, which should be a dead rubber for them).

That's the final nail in We're Bottom Again's coffin.

Something like this would be nice: https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/international/brazil-match-brawl-nine-red-cards-abandoned-video-vitoria-bahia-a8217456.html

If one of our relegation rivals had done this I wouldn't be having any fun. Quite the opposite, I'd be worried that they'd finally sacked an appalling manager who was almost certain to take them down, and replaced him with someone with tons of PL experience and who actually knows how to manage.
-
Understandable, but if so, watch him play the kids against Wigan (and in the semi-final if we get that far).

Is there anything good we can say about Pellegrino?
Dark Munster replied to whelk's topic in The Saints
I'm curious how you came to that conclusion. In his disastrous time here, with a decent squad, he's shown himself to be a completely talentless manager, out of his depth, and not very bright (to put it mildly). Nothing wrong with that, plenty of ex-players have no managerial ability (even some greats like Bobby Charlton). He should use his ill-gotten millions from us to retire comfortably, and maybe open and run a nice little cantina somewhere in Spain. -
What's stupid is not sacking the clown months ago. I'd have preferred Pearson, but I'm delighted we now have a manager who is very experienced, and above all not a drooling moron who's as thick as a pile of bricks.
-
Yes, I'd be surprised, and delighted, if Pearson walks back in.
-
"They don't have clueless owners!" Oh yes we do.
-
I reckon it wouldn't be difficult to prise Pearson away from his little Belgian club.
