  1. Lincoln's odds for winning the cup before the competition started were 2000/1 Are they going to do a Leicester?
  2. And if Caceres starts and Zlatan tears him a new one (due to him not being match fit) we'll also be thinking what if after the game.
  3. Caceres hasn't played for a year, so no way he should start at Wembley as a CB pairing. Would it be insane to play both Caceres and Stephens (as well as Yoshida of course)? ZI vs. Yoshia and Stephens alone scares the shit out of most of us, it seems. It would give the full backs license to bomb forward more often too.
  4. They won't want to ditch him because they are terrified of the backlash from the Republican base, the majority of whom are Trumpanzees. As long as he signs everything they send to his desk (such as massive cuts to social social security and medicare, and tax breaks for the rich) they won't want to get rid of him.
  5. Is Saudi Arabia big enough to fit his ego?
  6. If we lose the final I trust you'll take full responsibility.
  7. Currently 2-0. One more and they can afford to rest players. An away goal now would be very welcome.
  8. Yes, but not too serious. Just out for a couple of weeks.
  9. Yes. Unless Leicester wins the CL, Man Utd wins Europa and finishes outside the top 5, and a non-top 5 team (but not Man Utd or Leicester) wins the FA cup. Then England gets one extra CL slot but 4th place loses out on a CL spot. The 5 CL slots go to 1st, 2nd, 3rd + Leicester and Man Utd, and the 3 Europa spots probably go to the FA cup winner and the 4th and 5th placed PL teams. I think. Anyway, one of the 5th placed team or us would lose out. Of course the odds of that happening are about the same as Leicester winning the league last season.
  10. The FA cup was three days after a draining semi final at Anfield, and 6 days after a crucial PL match we had to win. In both those matches Puel rightly fielded as strong a line up as possible. Oh, and we were without Fonte and VVD. Given their absence, and with no CB coming in (and still missing a clinical striker), there was no way a) Puel could reasonably field a strong team against Arsenal and b) we'd win that competition anyway.
  11. Extraordinary. And they had 36 points from 42 matches (equivalent to 50 points for 3 points for a win). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1937–38_Football_League
  12. Blackburn, Wigan and Rotherham.
  13. Also losing Kante was massive, look at the difference between them and Chelsea compared to both teams last year. Nice to see Vardy screw up a chance near the end today. If a defender takes out his ankle soon I won't shed a tear.
  14. I'm with you on this Jason. P**p*y and Spurs are the only two I despise, the former for obvious reasons (all salacious details given in THE thread over on the lounge), and the latter for their arrogant ripping us off over the years. Man Utd and Liverpool are genuinely massive clubs with silverware to match, so I have (jealous) respect for them. When you have a massive fan base there is always going be a subset of wankers. The only time I disliked Liverpool was when Brenda was there, but since they sacked him all is fine again.
  15. Yes indeed, but not just goals. Having a striker that can finish raises the confidence of the whole team, from back to front.
  16. You mean like Liverpool? Twice. Without our new striker, and VVD at Anfield.
  17. Don't care about Sunderland one way or the other, but after Vardy's assault I'll be happy if Leicester go down. Mind you, if they do the bastard will just bugger off to another PL team.
  18. Yes indeed. The biggest was The 2-2 Draw, where a breathtaking 20 pass attack culminated in Norris striking a spectacular bicycle kick equaliser in the 98th minute, thereby denying us promotion that year and at the same time saving them from relegation. Happy 5th birthday Skate toddlers.
  19. Hopefully their EL first leg isn't a blowout (either way) so that they'll have to field a strong team for the second leg.
  20. I think Puel the fool has finally found a striker who can put the ball in the back of the net. God knows why the fool hasn't played him until the last couple of matches. Or waited 7 days between playing matches. Up until now he's insisted on playing every 3 or 4 days. Puel the fool out!
  21. Shame on Puel playing without a goal-scoring striker for most of the season. At least he's finally realised the importance of having one. Puel out!!!!
  22. I hope not. If he does the ankle will probably snap.
  23. The ankle looks very fragile. I suggest they wrap it in cotton wool.
  24. I guess Russian roulette is also technically gambling.
