  1. Finally CP has a striker who can finish, as many of us have been clamouring for all season.
  2. F See me after school.
  3. Tadic and Redmond were excellent.
  4. Have to agree.
  5. Yes you're right, you both entitled to your opinions on this. As does Puel.
  6. No it's not, most times it's pretty conclusive in replays. It would only be applied automatically to major decisions (offside goals, penalties), which are few and far between. Throw in a couple of video challenges allowed per team, and you'd have just a few stoppages per match, which would be decided in seconds by a 4th official in a studio. Negligible time spent compared to free kicks, throw ins, and prima donnas rolling around on the ground. Time for the dinosaurs to admit that video technology is needed in our game.
  7. If it's any comfort it could've been worse. If the score had been 2-2 at full-time, and we lost in extra time (or penalties) we could claim that the decision cost us the cup (well ignoring the butterfly effect, anyway). As it is, the disallowed goal cost us extra time, which may or may not have gone our way.
  8. Yes, that's what I've been saying all along. A clinical finisher in the side lifts the whole team. Except for Forster.
  9. That would've been difficult, considering he only recently got a striker who can finish, something we've been crying out for since the season began.
  10. Agreed. Stephens especially.
  11. So you think a knackered Gabbi is better than a fresh Long? Fair enough, that's your opinion. Puel and I disagree.
  12. Yes, but doesn't look a day over 90.
  13. When it comes to running football the Dutch have been ahead of England for decades now.
  14. I doubt it. He was a great player, but he's too old and fat now.
  15. How many disallowed goals are there on average per match? Less than 1. Ditto controversial penalties. Also, as in other (more enlightened) sports (like hockey) they allow the coach/manager a limited number of video queries per game. So apart from disallowed goals, and penalties, give each manager 1 or 2 (maximum) video review requests. It would not add up to much interruption, and any (short) time used would be included in time added on. There are plenty of stoppages for injuries, free-kicks etc. so adding one or two video reviews wouldn't make much difference.
  16. Yes that's true, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Even if it's complete bollocks.
  17. Ryan Betrand, standing behind Gabbiadini, was in an offside position, but how the assistant referee got such a key decision so hopelessly wrong, only he knows. Surely the time has come for video technology to be introduced to ensure such blatant mistakes are not allowed to happen. Yes indeed.
  18. EAST SIDE = 23 miles on the M27
  19. Don't forget the lino.
  20. Now that we have a clinical striker we will. That's what's been missing until recently. And for those criticising Claude for taking Gabbi off, he was obviously knackered.
  21. When are the football authorities going to drag themselves into the 21st century and use video technology for key decisions, such as disallowing perfectly goals?
  22. A few maybe, but most didn't last long. We had to endure Benali for 16 years. In fairness though, if we'd had a decent left back then we possibly wouldn't have had the excitement of half a dozen great escapes.
  23. Most overrated Saints mistress ever.
