  1. Also losing Kante was massive, look at the difference between them and Chelsea compared to both teams last year. Nice to see Vardy screw up a chance near the end today. If a defender takes out his ankle soon I won't shed a tear.
  2. I'm with you on this Jason. P**p*y and Spurs are the only two I despise, the former for obvious reasons (all salacious details given in THE thread over on the lounge), and the latter for their arrogant ripping us off over the years. Man Utd and Liverpool are genuinely massive clubs with silverware to match, so I have (jealous) respect for them. When you have a massive fan base there is always going be a subset of wankers. The only time I disliked Liverpool was when Brenda was there, but since they sacked him all is fine again.
  3. Yes indeed, but not just goals. Having a striker that can finish raises the confidence of the whole team, from back to front.
  4. You mean like Liverpool? Twice. Without our new striker, and VVD at Anfield.
  5. Don't care about Sunderland one way or the other, but after Vardy's assault I'll be happy if Leicester go down. Mind you, if they do the bastard will just bugger off to another PL team.
  6. Yes indeed. The biggest was The 2-2 Draw, where a breathtaking 20 pass attack culminated in Norris striking a spectacular bicycle kick equaliser in the 98th minute, thereby denying us promotion that year and at the same time saving them from relegation. Happy 5th birthday Skate toddlers.
  7. Hopefully their EL first leg isn't a blowout (either way) so that they'll have to field a strong team for the second leg.
  8. I think Puel the fool has finally found a striker who can put the ball in the back of the net. God knows why the fool hasn't played him until the last couple of matches. Or waited 7 days between playing matches. Up until now he's insisted on playing every 3 or 4 days. Puel the fool out!
  9. Shame on Puel playing without a goal-scoring striker for most of the season. At least he's finally realised the importance of having one. Puel out!!!!
  10. I hope not. If he does the ankle will probably snap.
  11. The ankle looks very fragile. I suggest they wrap it in cotton wool.
  12. I guess Russian roulette is also technically gambling.
  13. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?57612-Drawing-a-Line#.WJoF7RiZOJY Well worth a read.
  14. Leicester are now again 5000/1 for the title if anyone wants a cheeky bet. (So are we, BTW.)
  15. Normally that'd be true. But we're as desperate as Desperate Dan in Desperateville.
  16. I'm sure wages and signing on fee will be steep. Having said that, if he's the difference between staying up or going down he'll be a bargain at any price.
  17. I'd be happy if she stays fit for a couple of months.
  18. Finger-crossing has been Reed's modus operandi for the past couple of seasons.
  19. I've said it before, bring him in at least as fitness/sports science coach. Look at physioroom injury table, we're regularly at the top and Leicester regularly at the bottom.
  20. If Romeu gets injured we're ****ed.
  21. To summarise: 1. The Alderweireld screw up. Yes, he (Alderweireld) was hardly blameless, but Reed was naive in the extreme in that fiasco. 2. Not bringing in a decent back-up GK 2 years ago when we had a real shot for a top 4 finish. 3. Not replacing Pele and Mane properly. In particular not getting in a decent goal scorer probably cost us EL progress, not to mention a shitload of points in the league (we wouldn't be looking over our shoulders like we are now) 4. Not replacing Big Vic. We've got very lucky (so far) that Romeu has stepped up, and most importantly not got injured or suspended. But that could still happen, and with our record that wouldn't be a surprise. 5. Eric ****ing Black. I mean, WTF? 6. And of course, the current CB cluster****.
  22. True. He should've had a plan B. Not to mention plans C and D. And E and F as well. There's no way the window should've shut without bringing in a half-decent CB.
  23. The deal will probably depend if we have enough space in the treatment room for him.
