  1. I'd be happy if she stays fit for a couple of months.
  2. Finger-crossing has been Reed's modus operandi for the past couple of seasons.
  3. I've said it before, bring him in at least as fitness/sports science coach. Look at physioroom injury table, we're regularly at the top and Leicester regularly at the bottom.
  4. If Romeu gets injured we're ****ed.
  5. To summarise: 1. The Alderweireld screw up. Yes, he (Alderweireld) was hardly blameless, but Reed was naive in the extreme in that fiasco. 2. Not bringing in a decent back-up GK 2 years ago when we had a real shot for a top 4 finish. 3. Not replacing Pele and Mane properly. In particular not getting in a decent goal scorer probably cost us EL progress, not to mention a shitload of points in the league (we wouldn't be looking over our shoulders like we are now) 4. Not replacing Big Vic. We've got very lucky (so far) that Romeu has stepped up, and most importantly not got injured or suspended. But that could still happen, and with our record that wouldn't be a surprise. 5. Eric ****ing Black. I mean, WTF? 6. And of course, the current CB cluster****.
  6. True. He should've had a plan B. Not to mention plans C and D. And E and F as well. There's no way the window should've shut without bringing in a half-decent CB.
  7. The deal will probably depend if we have enough space in the treatment room for him.
  8. Yes indeed. Came on here to cheer myself up and have a laugh. Good old DFCSBs, when you're down they're there to remind you that there are others much worse off.
  9. Normally that would be true. But now we're looking over our shoulders and a Hull loss would've been preferable.

    Puel

    I'm not. Agreed.
  11. Poll mods?
  12. I certainly blame him rather than Puel. We all knew that a striker was needed in the summer, and of course a CB this window. But also a couple of seasons ago when we had a real shot at top 4 he blew it by not bringing in a decent back up goalie. Forster duly got injured after the window closed, and we were left with Laurel and Hardy as goalkeepers for most of the rest of the season, with a top 4 finish obviously going down in flames.
  13. Hull beating Pool 2-0. Aren't they supposed to be doomed?
  14. We need a striker who can put the ball in the back of the net.
  15. Yes that makes sense. But perhaps two teams offer the player the same terms (and can't go higher because of a club wage cap), and so one may up the buying price a bit above the release clause, to try to win the bid. Assuming the player has no preference over the competing clubs. Very unlikely, but if the release clause isn't ridiculously high ...
  16. Exactly. And if all parties agree there's nothing to stop a sale below the release amount. Or above if there's a bidding war (unlikely).
  17. Don't forget the ace up our sleeve, Cuco.
  18. This is a bigger balls up. Much bigger. And imagine if Yoshida gets injured or suspended.
  19. Every time we play Leicester from now on I hope Vardy gets the Lovren treatment from our fans.
  20. A player who seriously injures another player (non-accidentally) should be banned for the same length of time as it takes for that player to recover.
  21. It's deja vu all over again.
  22. This has 5-5 written all over it.
  23. And yes, I agree with the OP, Reed has failed Puel.
  24. How can people say this (and I agree on this part) and yet say the manager has to go? He's been given a squad with huge holes (compared to last year) and has had a ridiculous number of matches to contend with. Not to mention our usual 9 or so players out injured at any given time. There have been a number of matches, when able to field a strong team, we've played excellent football. He's clearly no Branf**t/Wigley/Gray/Saggy, and has only been here half a season FFS. I'll judge him after a season with a squad not lacking players in essential areas.
