Tricky one. Between Ricky and Jos for me. I would vote Jos - 8 important goals from central defense and we looked vulnerable whenever he was injured. Surely the best signing of the Championship season. We may have struggled to make the play-offs without him. Fine player who will make an impact in the Prem next season.
-
ooosh, whod have thought wed be cheering on Leicester at this stage of the season.
-
Out of the current squad who do you think would hack it in the Prem? For me: 1. Kelvin - has at least two more seasons left as a top keeper 3. Fox - Has a wonderful left foot when he has time on the ball and set pieces 4. Cork -still young, fantastic heart and will only get better 6. Jos - Best central defender we have had since Killer IMO 7. Lambert - one of the best English forwards around right now 8. Schneiderlin - not a massive fan myself but he has got better and better this season. 11. Lallana - been Prem quality for years. Inconsistent and not the biggest build probably the reasons why nobody has made a massive bid for him thus far. IMO we would need to replace Fonte, get a top quality RB, a ball winning CM, an out and out pace merchant up front (in the Henri Camara mould) and RM. Discuss

If we go up automatically it will not be because of our form over the next 5 games, it will be because West Ham bottle it. I think we have problems.

Schneiderlin made it very clear that he was going to make a full blooded challenge on the Pompey player (Varney?), who saw it coming and went over the top of the challenge into his knee. Somewhat naive perhaps on Morgans part and sly and dare I say smart on the part of the Pompey player. Morgan will learn from this. He was down in front of us and was beating in the ground and covering his face in a lot of distress. Was surprised he even tried to shake it off for a few seconds before we brought Cork on. I would be surprised if he's back to full fitness this season and therefore it's very encouraging to read the above report from someone who spoke to him. For me Morgan has been our most improved player this season.
-
He was clearly frustrated with the support and play around him. As others have said, we needed a player like Lee along side/just in front of him. He just doesn't link well with Sharp. Lambo came out second half and was quite a way off of being fit. There were several occasions when he never ran and avoided challenges. Still, at this stage of the season an 80% fit Lambert is is still far and away our best forward option. My gut feeling is that Lambert will not be fit enough for Palace on Monday and we may rest him for Friday.
-
No, not at all. I've seen him play quite a few games for us now and whilst he's clearly not firing on all cylinders for us at present I fail to see the potential in him. I am very confident that we will go up this season and I don't see any place for him in a Saints Prem team. When we go up we will need a couple of good forward signings.
-
Not a Prem class player, not in a million years. Has fluffed loads of chances for us, doesn't look dangerous in any way, slows our play down and today showed he can't take penalties. When we go up IMO we need to get rid. Discuss.

Typical SDR performance. For much of the game he looked like being the player who would give us the breakthrough but his final delivery leaves quite a lot to be desired.
-
Not usually a fan of Morgan but I thought he was very good today. Along with Cork they dominated the midfield and allowed the forwards and fullbacks to play. Donny had some very good individuals but by 'eck Saint's don't 'arf play superb as a team.

One word of advice - don't take the stuff the Tories do at face value. This is about preserving country pubs and community pubs.

My man-crush on Jos just gets more and more unnatural. Love him.
-
I've not seen a better centre half in the Championship all season. For me he is the best we've had since Killer. I've no doubt he'll do a great job in the Prem too.
-
Ah, Bamford, yup that's the one. The9 - did Sturridge not play in their youth team? I know they pinched him from City when he was still quite young.
-
Chelsea bought that lad from Sheff Utd (from memory?) who did so well against us in the cup but he doesnt seem to have played for them yet. A lot of changes to the Chelsea team for this game but it would still have been a storng team. I wonder if our lads wound theirs up with chants of "you'll never play for your first team". I would have.

I will say a prayer for Bearsy's bumhold tonight.

Also brought in Camara who is the best forward we have had for years and nearly managed to keep us up.

I have been carrying a spare bottle top into games, concealed up my anus, for the past few years. No steward has found one yet.

I am a Corporate Solicitor. Jill, I doubt you will find anyone prepared to take your claim on given that you are arguiing over £500. Your legal fees will eat that up in no time and the court will not award you them back given that it's a small claim. You should make a small claim yourself. You can get forms online or in the court. If the matter is as simple as you say it is you should recover the debt and your costs. The process, including the hearing with the judge, is taylor made for people like you and is not as frightening as people may think. My invoice for this brief summary is in the post.

OK - Wiki: Lee was born to third generation Zainichi Korean parents in Tanashi (present: Ni****okyo), Tokyo. His Korean name is Lee Chung-Sung (Korean: 이충성, Hanja: 李 忠成) and also had used pass name Tadanari Ōyama (大山 忠成, Ōyama Tadanari?).[1] His father was also a footballer, who played for Yokohama Tristar FC in the Japan Soccer League. So I guess we should refer to him as Chung from now on, as Nigel does?!
-
He kept referring to Lee as "Cheung". Mentioned the loan window when pressed about CBs.

The acceptable distance to stand behind someone at the urinal?

Cottaging is fun. -
Yes. It was a bad experience due to the guy smoking in the cubicle next door. Toilet roll poor quality and loo did not flush as well as it could have. Overall I'd give it a 3/10.

Chappers is a massive player for us. Without him we lack dynamism in the middle of the park. I was dissapointed we didnt sign Danns but for me Chappers has been just as good in the same role and maybe even better.

Take comments of ex-players with a pinch of salt. They like people to think they are in the know but most of the ones I have met are full of uninformed BS, a bit like the male equivalent of Loose Women.
