Never mind relegation, it would be a huge blow for them if they fail to make the Champions League as they almost did this year - top 4 will be Manure, Chelski, Citeh and Liverpool. Having said that I would love to see them involved in a relagation battle. Hey, that might even bring back my faith in the English game.

I laughed when we sold him to Arsenal for reported £12-£15m and I am laughing harder now. Wenger has lost the plot - the wheels have come off of his Plan A and he has no Plan B. Oh dear. Never mind Arsene, we might be able to find you a job at our accademy in the coming weeks.

If I were a mod I would lock this thread about a player we have never signed and will never sign being tenuously linked with another club and sprinkle infraction points like confetti on all you bad boys.

Hey come on guys, as someone else has said, her father posts on here. Behave yourselves.

cheating buggers. if we lose out on a record breaking number of goals scored by one this year I will be most upset.

Good advice here. My sister in law had the same problem last year at student digs in Porstwood. Basically write to the utility companies explaining when you took on the tenancy and send them a copy of the tenancy agreement, threaten police action if they harass you any more, give them the meter reading at the time you took the tenancy on. If anyone turns up call the police. If they write to you again just refer them to your previous letter. A lot of these letters from utility companies are auto-generated so don't worry too much and don't be surprised if you keep getting letters.

Suggest you try meeting them in the gym, sports clubs etc then - just don't be surprised when they ditch the sport and fitness as soon as you've been going out for a month ;0) I agree with what you say about town - I lived in Woking for years and was gobsmacked how slutty and easy the girls were in Southampton by comparison. One thing I will say for English women is they tend to keep their looks longer than their continental counterparts. Italian women in particular begin to resemble raisins by the time they hit about 40 whereas English women tend to look good longer - probably as a result of not so much sunlight and a fattier diet(?). Plenty of MILFs here and even GILFs (just ask Wayne Rooney).

Does anyone know why Belgian women are so pug ugly? Nestled in there between France and Holland you would expect them to do much better. As for the argument - it's all about diet and lifestyle. Fastfood culture and ready meals. Women in England work hard and don't have time to cook decent food any more. I also think calories from alcohol plays a role. I disagree with Adrian - US women are generally as bad as the brits from what I've seen - poor dressers and unfit on the whole. Same reasons as we are too. When I spoke to a Polish girl in the gym she said English girls ate too much, drank too much and had no hobbies involving physical activity. On the continent there is a culture of women walking, cycling, going to the gym, playing tennis etc. Generally in Enlgand women give up sport at 16 when they leave school.

....and the best bit is we sold a player for £12m and look all the better for it. Team spirit and team understanding at the heart of this. Well done Nige - I like where this bus is heading -
I would give him a brown card. Poop.

I would prefer J Rod to Maynard

Never thought I would find myself agreeing with those scum but after what I have seen this week I would have been right there with them.

6 months and/or a few thousand pound fine

They would if they could. Problem is the police have been hopelessly outnumbered in most places where it has kicked off badly meaning that the idiots are left free to do what they like - that's the most shocking thing. The police had to get on top of things in Tottenham on Saturday night but their weaknesses were exposed and comments by the met at the time about police cuts hurting them and morale being at an all time low highlighted their weaknesses for all to see. Thugs saw this and have exposed those weaknesses with sheer numbers. Tonight will be interesting. The police must show themselves to be in control and to be a force to be reckoned with otherwise every little scum bag at home is going to think they're missing out on free stuff which is what has happened so far. Keep the opportunist sheep off of the streets and the hardcore thug numbers suddenly don't look so clever. That has to be the number one priority of the police later today.

Not very many based the footage I have seen.

Sod the game, who wants to join me in a bit of hooli-bashing tonight?

Some quality comments on this thread but this is my favorite! :0)

Saints have always done well on the counter but on Saturday we looked as though we had been working overtime on it. We countered with pace, movement (exploiting Leeds' weaknesses) and precision passing. Our players have an ideal combination of technique and footballing nouce to play on the counter. It got me thinking, with some pretty big clubs in the Championship I expect we'll see far more teams coming on to us at St Marys than they did last season. That will play right into our hands. I also expect us to pick up a lot of points away from home playing on the counter, especially with opponent's pitches being better than they were in Div 1. Watching West Ham v Cardiff and highlights of all the other games, I am beginning to believe that with our style of play we have nothing to fear in this league. We also have a pretty decent plan B, namely lump it into Lambo, but hopefully we'll not have to resort to that too often!!
-
Did OK but we need a better CB this season to play alongside Jose. I wonder whether Martin would progress better out on loan in Div 1 (let's face it he's not played much competitive football in the last few years) or as a bit part player for us this season given our superior squad and training facilities. Tough one. Shame he didnt score against Leeds towards the end - that would have been great for him.
-
Jemal is hot-headed and it remains to be seen whether he is stubborn enough to see this through. From what I have heard I suspect he is. The deal is not dead but looks highly unlikley now. Shame, he is a decent player although he does have the potential to disrupt squad harmony. Jaidi is right, this does look unprofessional and we all know how professionally our club is being run nowadays.

The more I look at the teams this year the more I think we are going to finish mid-table. Leicester will be outstanding this year but West Ham may not do as well as people think. Birtmingham will be solid. There will be lots of teams better than ours scrapping it out for a play-off spot. A quality CB and forward really do look needed when you look at the other teams. Is anyone else looking forward to this season more than any other in recent years? I know I am - it's going to be a very good year for the Championship.

QPR make Saints an offer for Puncheon (Player Exchange)
Junior Mullet replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Ah, the gamesmanship has begun. IMO this is a smokescreen. I read this as a hurry up for Jemal to make his mind up. -
Jemal is the new Skacel

Youtube clips look great - I like players with quick feet. Good with both pegs and looks like he knows how to exploit space. If we can just get Jemal on the bus and drop Ox off in North London I reckon we're just about set. PS. I bet Lambo is licking his lips watching some of those De Ridder crosses.....if he can keep up with him that is!!! ;0)
