Bournemouth have a good team. Small squad but, injuries aside, they have a team more than capable of holding their own in Div 1 next season. I will be laying agianst them being relegated on Betfair for sure. I do not know how they have managed to hold onto their players this year given their financial predicament. I can only imagine it's down to the management, so yes, well done Eddie Howe.

Yup, went to their game against Grimsby last year when they won and stayed up. There were loads of anti saints chants and scummer references before, during and after the game. I thought it showed them to be the small timer wannabes they really are. Make the most of it cherrie fans. You'll have a new south coast club to be your rivals shortly. A club more befitting for you in terms of their size and fan IQ.

GM, I note that you have asked for letters of support only but alas the scoundrels on this forum have hijacked yet another perfectly decent, well-meaning thread. I for one support you. I am due to see a tattoo artist this afternoon and will ask him for a tattoo of Hampshire’s two finest club crests – one on each arm. I also plan to make a cake, in the shape of a dove (symbolising hope) and present it to those fine fellows at Portsmouth FC to show that we care and indeed that there is still hope for them. I look forward to the day when our two sets of supporters can finally be judged by the content of their hearts rather than the colour of their scarves. I look forward to the day when people with red cars can have confidence to drive into Portsmouth and leave them parked for more than five minutes without being vandalised. I look forward to matches at St Mary’s when the two sets of fans can link arm in arm and show that world that we are not afraid. We are not afraid to love one another. We are not afraid to be what we are meant to be. Peace and love to the blue few. End.

Rickie set to reveal his future...
Junior Mullet replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
He lives near me in North Baddesley in a fairly modest house too. Nice, but modest compared to some of the Flash Harries we've had here. I like players that are sensible with their money. Down to earth bloke who I'm sure most fans can associate with - which should help maintain his cult status. Rickie Lambert, Division 1 signing of the season. -

Well he will like what he sees down here. I, for one, love living here on the South Coast. -
I dont think Rickie is an Everton type player. He likes his beer a bit too much to give it up to get in a David Moyes team.

Danns is #1 on my wishlist. I believe we would have reached the playoffs if we had signed him.

Looks like a good advantage played to me. Puncheon was playing very well, cut inside along the edge of the box and was shaping to shoot. Would have been poor refereeing to have stopped play there IMO. Was the player booked after the goal? Should have been.

I reckon it will be a Champions League Italian team. Sent via a carrier pigeon with a gammy foot.

I like your thinking mate! Just can't get over their result tonight..... You gotta love this crazy game. COYS

Knew Hudds were 2-0 up approaching half time. Checked via the BBC red button on 90 mins and they were 3-2 down. Delerious. Then they pulled level - a draw would still have been good for saints so I switched to SSN - they got their winner. From joy to depression all in a matter of less than 2 minutes. Gutted.

Was ****erill ever a youth player? If so he managed Woking.

My best mate is a Fulham fan and is loving this season. They should be our medium term bench mark - financial stability, good manager, board room stability without too much interfering and a cracking work ethic amongst the players.

Just been talking to a guy here in Pompey who is selling flags and jester hats in the town centre. He had a a stall full of gear and nobody was buying. Anyway I took pity and showed some interest in the poor chap but he told me to p!ss off when I asked whether he had anything in red and white. How very rude. Blue aint my colour doncha know.
-
There on merit. Good team and they played good football when they played at SMS. Good luck to them. Sport needs teams like Swindon because it shows you don't have to spend a fortune to progress.
-
He really has been playing poor this season. Would not want him at Saints now.

The chap was a middle aged guy a few rows in front of me. He was very loud in telling Pards to shake it up, there were also a few shake it up hand gestures (nothing worse). Pards did react and politely put a finger to his lips as if to tel lthe guy to pipe down. A few minutes later Lallana scored his first. Pards spun round immediately and shouted back at the guy in the crowd along the lines of "there you go, how's that?!". Personally I thought the way Pards handled the initial loud winge was very dignified (as opposed to Burley a few years ago who effed his head off one afternoon at just about everyone in the crowd when they gave him stick) and I thought the passion shown by Pards when Lallana scored was brilliant. The guy who shouted at Pards did pipe down and Pards did begin to shake the team up. So who won? The team. I did see the stewards having a word with the chap at half time but it was well natured with lots of smiles from both sides. No need to make a mountain out of a molehill. Also no need for uneccesary conjecture from anyone who didnt see it all take place. Passionate fans, manager, owner and players are exactly what we need and it's what we've got at long last.

Think you may find the money has already been spent on 'expenses'.
-
Yes, but given their overheads and lack of new money from season ticket sales they will be in real trouble. Mark my words, if West Ham go down they are really going to suffer. Certainly won't pose a threat to pinching our players.
-
Spot on - and when he waved the Saints flag on the steps that for me showed he cares. Pardew will be the one who leads us to automatic promotion next season. I can't wait! I can't remember the last time we had a manager who seems to be watching the same game as the fans. Do any of you recall just how bad George 'fills out his team selection cards when he's pished' Burley was?
-
West Ham will have no money. They would be in dire financial straits, having already cashed in on their season ticket sales for the next two seasons.

Went on a stag do in Manchester, having left car in Richmond. Car broke down, AA man arrived and I said I thought he was quick arriving to which he said, "that's the first time I've heard that today, the place is bloody packed with Saints fans". His face was a picture when I told him I was a Saints fan too.
-
Anyone else see him in the dressing room after when Sky cameras went in? He was chucking water everywhere and if you didnt know any better looked off his head! Brilliant, clearly meant a lot to him. Can you imagine how he would react if we won the FA Cup? Great stuff.

What Famous Faces will be there tomorrow?
