Play-offs is surely well within our grasp. I don't think there is a huge difference between L1 and Champ. We have a much better squad and spirit at the club now compared to our last two seasons in the Champ. We are arguably better equipped than Notts Forest, Leicester, Leeds and Norwich all of whom went up from L1 and did well this year. I hope we do the double over Pompey. I would like to see Bournemouth come up too, just so we can guanratee another six points before a ball has been kicked. I would like us to sign a top quality CM player - preferably Neil Danns and a quality CB who can play alongside Fonte. It will be a bright season for us.

Under 18's finish 2nd in Premier League Academy Group A

no, it doesnt work - youth team coaches do not command the respect of the seniors. Appointing Wigley proved that and cost us our place in the Prem. I wish we could watch the accademy games at Staplewood like we used to be able to - I loved watching the lads and picking out those with decent futures. -
Not newsworthy and not really saints-related imo.

I'd go back in time to one of Lucy Pinder's photo shoots and tweak her nips.

NOw I would pay to watch that. Where do they hold these sporting events you talk of?

On your own then Tom, good luck lad. Do us proud.

If we go up to the Championship we must look to build a squad capable of pushing for promotion in the first season. Personally I think BT would be a risk and one not worth taking given that there are more talented players at their peak (Makail-Smith for example when Peterborough don't get promoted) who would also be less disruptive for dressing room harmony. That said, if the club want him and think HCDAJFU then I would be pleased to have him back.

Still pish myself every time I see that monster

Hope he's still here when we get back to the Prem - he would deserve that more than any other.

Do we know how bad the injuries are or are we just guessing? Honest question, I had to leave the radio to look after my little boy. -

Typical OTT reactions on here. Man U have off days, Arsenal regularly drop points, Chelsea had a whole string of poor games, Liverpool are having a poor decade. FFS guys, nobody wins all the time. We'll still go up second. -
This.

Good player. Bpwyer is also a good player to the guy who mentioned him up the thread. I would sign them both up - better than what we currently have. -
Always thought White was a quality player. Always reminded me of Dickov the way he niggled away at the oppos defenders. Good skill and scoring instinct too. Shame he didnt get the breaks here.

Hahaha, as if Fergie would sign OXO!! Man Utd are only interested in signing players of OXO's calibre if they can sell shirts in South America or the Far East FFS.

All down to money again mate - Wembley need the revenue after the massive overspend on the stadium.

It's a fantastic cup. It also gives some of the clubs with larger squads a chance to rotate things and play younger players which IMO is a good thing - look how Bart and Morgan performed on Saturday for example. Money in football at the moment is heavily geared towards league standings which means that the League is more important to the club's owners but I reckon most managers and players would still take an average season in return for a day out in May at Wembley.

Earliest age to take a child to a football match?
Junior Mullet replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
There's been a very young lad going to games this season, sat in the Itchen a few rows back to the left of the Saints dug-out facing the pitch. He could only have been about 1 yr old at the start of the season. Didnt look like he was even walking and yet I never noticed him making a fuss. -
We have a better squad by far than the squads we had for the last two CCC seasons. We could defo hold our own with this current squad. You only have to look at Norwich who we beat several times last year to see that with the right team spirit and aptitude we could actually push for promotion next season. There haven't been many changes to the Norwich squad form last year. Good spirit and the right manager can go a long way.

Break the bank and sign Danns in Jan please

The fact that Lampard even got a game for England at the World Cup was an absolute joke.
