  1. He doesn't strike me as a pedantic pr!ck, so no, I expect not.
  2. I have no doubts about Lambo, just the tactical genius in the Itchen who kept calling for Do Prado to be subbed until he scored. Surprised Cortesse still lets numpties in the stadium for games but hey ho.
  3. Could have been 2-0 down in ten minutes and looked poor most of the first half, yet won 4-0 and hit the woodwork twice. Could easily have scored 8 in all today. We are good even when we are poor. When we are good we must be incredible. I rckon it'll be the FA Cup vs Prem opposition before we see how good we really can be. Adkins learned a lot about the team today and will think twice about keeping Connoly out of the team in future. He tried several different shapes with different personnel in different positions and that will help him in future. All in all a bloody good day at the office with other clubs dropping points in tough fixtures as we had hoped. Good night saints fans x
  4. We have to play for the win and there is every chance we'll get it too. 2-1 Saints.
  5. Nope, but a mate of mine said he fingered her.
  6. Wish we had kept Papa Wiago instead of taking on Forte
  7. Give them porn
  8. ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ People are skint. Cheaper forms of entertainment out there. Lot's of women at my work catching pregnancies since recession hit a few years back.
  9. We should not fear anyone. We have played some good teams already and so far nobody has the same level of quality team play as us. Leicester have good individuals but that does not result in consistency. We are as good as anyone in this league and will be looking to win every game, one way or another. Personally I think the tough games give us the perfect opportunity to play pacy, technical counter-attacking football. The second, third and fourth goals yesterday were perfect examples of what I mean.
  10. He played well yesterday. Put his head in where it hurts and looked solid and assured. I think he is exactly what we need in this division. The Brum defenders on the otherhand looked like Sunday League players. The thing is that most teams in this division will have some good players going forward and guess what, defenders will not always come out on top but that doesnt mean they are bad. Very happy with Jos so far. PS. It is sad having to scroll through a whole lot of self-obsessed irrelevant bickering posts to actually see what others thought of his performance.
  11. Water Margin, North Baddesley. Go one evening Sunday to Thursday for the gourmet buffet. Awesome stuff. Very surprised its not already been mentioned.
  12. Fucck 'em. Watched them play Grimsby a few years back to stay up in the football league which they did. There was a pitch invasion to celebrate at full time and it was all good until leaving the ground there were loads of people singing anti-saints songs. I didnt understand it - they'd just managed to stay up and I'd never heard of any issues between the two clubs before. Confused little club with a good number of silly fans.
  13. He's got balls, I'll give him that. Imagine if Rupes had ever done that! I love moments like this in football.
  14. I'm 33 years old and expect the age to rise to around 75 by the time I get there. Personally I expect to work until around 70 in one guise or another (ideally collecting the trollies in Asda car park), although I hope to give up my main career and all the pressure it brings by the time I'm 60.
  15. Went up for a mates stag do last year. We were all hammered by the time we got there at midday. We played that indoor golf thingy and the stag ended up ****ging a blow up doll in a bunker. When we got to the nightclub the stag emptied half of the comedy room by puking and taunting a blind comedian and his guide. It was a full hour after that before he was finally asked to leave. The women up there are very friendly and all my mates, even the ones we suspected might have been gay, were chatted up. Basically it's the reverse of down here in the South where blokes have to make the first move 90% of the time. All in all a nice place. Good feel to the city and it has a larger feel to it than Southampton which seems to work to its advantage.
  16. I seem to share a lot of Adrian's views about religion. I will not be working over christmas but I will not be celebrating christmas either. Instead I see the time off in December as an old English / Pagan tradition - Yuletide / Winter festival etc which I think you'll find were practiced more widely together with summer festivals throughout England and the rest of Europe before Christianity adopted 25th December as the day to celebrate Christ's birth. Hence you will find me eating, drinking and sitting on Santa's knee come December but you will not find me in church.
  17. Championship / Div 1. We would not have gone into admin and we would still have Rupert and Co. All in all the move has worked out pretty nicely.
  18. Why don't you go and ask him.
  19. Yeah, you are right to question that. From what I have heard he was in a pretty drunken way, challenged the bouncers and they responded by pushing him away, he fell and the rest is history. Indepenedent eye witnesses will confirm whether this is what actually happened. I'm not sure how much the CCTV has picked up and in my experience it often catches less than we might like to think. I feel some of our footballers do need to show a bit more respect and self-discipline when they are out on town. I have met some out who give it the big I am forgetting who ultimately pays their wages. On the other hand I have met others who are very charming and welcoming of Saints fans - Surman being a perfect example and role model (shook my hand when I said I was a season ticket holder, was drinking soft drinks, had time to speak to people etc) when I met him out with Dyer and BWP who were being complete *****s and were just using their little bit of local fame to try and impress some of the less classy birds. This whole episode is a real shame as Dan always seemed like a nice bloke. Just goes to show the power of alcohol.
  20. Good question asked by the OP. Different people have different reasons but here's mine. I work in an air conditioned office all day, mostly surrounded by women and middle class middle aged men who act like old women. As an alpha male working class 80's kid I find this completely unnatural. I don't think humans were designed to sit in offices all day. By throwing a few heavy weight around after work I can actually act like a bloke and bloe off some steam before going home. I also have a good laugh in the gym with people from all walks of life and have made some good mates over the years. I have also done some business with gym mates and gym owners. Having moved to Southampton 10 years ago the first thing I did was join the gym because I knew I could make some mates that way. The chemical release is pretty good too. I take caffeine before I go and comined with the natural chemical release from doing weights it's a pretty heady mix. A bit like MDNA I find but without the side-effects ;0) The tight fanny is another good reason for going. For anyone that doesnt have a good reason to go, I suggest you give it up. Gyms make their money from standing orders of people that think it's a good idea but find it all a bit too tough. You only have to witness the stampede every January.
  21. Hmmm I wonder what that team would cost to buy now. With silly money sloshing around as it is I think it wouldn't be far off the £100m mark. Bale would fetch the most.
  22. His goal vs Ipswich is one of my all time favorites.
  23. I fractured my skull several years back and trust me I had a headache for months. I was back at work a few days later but could not concentrate and was extremely tired for around 6 weeks until it healed. That was just for a minor 'crack'. Dan's sounds a lot worse so yes I would not expect to see him play again in 2011, at best. It would be a long while before he can head a ball without it practically knocking him out if he's got a fracture.
  24. Playoffs. We have got the best attacking unit in the league and the best attacking individual in Lallana. Our only achilles heal is the LCB slot.
  25. Sorry mate, but that is one seriously negative post. Before the season began I thought we'd finish around 12th but given the quality of football we have played, the weaknesses shown by other teams and the strength in depth we have I am confident we can be a top 6 team now. Looking around at the players some Championship clubs have brought in I'm glad we haven't got them.
