  1. The perfect answer for the majority of citizens throughout the United Kingdom calling for a Referendum on Membership of the EU. If Scotland breaks away then England would need to renegociate EU membership. Problem solved for the majority calling for a Referendum. http://uk.news.yahoo.com/uk-faces-eu-negotiation-scotland-breaks-away-032254790.html
  2. Fantastic to see us doing so well against one of our former bogey teams. Cork and Sneiderlin were amazing but one has to give credit to Dan Harding. Few players put in a better display than Dan. Shame the Skates couldn't muster a goal or two against West Ham but Burnley are fast becoming our knights in armour, often winning against teams close on our heals. Very rewarding day for the team.

    Matt Le Tisseir

If there was ever a former player still around capable of doing a few fill in games surely it has to be Paul Telfer. He would be able to do a season/half season but I'd wager he'd do well in a few cameo roles. With regard to Le Tiss, I'm sure they'd be able to do a thing with Botox injections to his knees, a couple of implants or two to his thighs and a diet of Pedigree Chum for a month or two and he'd be back for a game or two.
  4. Someone in the States posted this on Facebook earlier today. Made me laugh. Wonder what it's all about? Certainly a crowd booster if a footie team took up the franchise.
  5. This was a very tragic story but has absolutely nothing to do with Southampton Football Club or Saints as we know it. THe AFCSaints are the church team from Knutton in Staffordshire. Some have been mislead into believing there is a relationship with our Saints or Southampton Football Club. R.I.P. Liam
  6. It's just been announced that former footballer Eric CANTONA has entered the French Presidential Elections. Finally a little excitement and believe he will do pretty well as he's got conviction and stands up for what he believes. All he needs is to get 500 signatures amongst the Mayors of France. Not even Marine Le Pen, the leader of the Front National has been successful in getting the signatures and is calling the ancient electoral requirement undemocratic
  7. Sad story and maybe had Liam been living in Hampshire and taken to a hospital here he might have survived. Hospitals, treatment and Staffordshire ring too many alarms for me. Worse care and treatment hospitals in the country.
  8. It never ceases to amaze me about the comments made by so called fans that can only be a hindrance to the clubs efforts in signing or selling any of our players. There are those who never cease to rubbish players, their evaluation or abilities, thus ensuring other clubs, their supporters aren't prepared to pay the money we desperately need. Puncheon was worth more than a million but besides his own input, some Saints Web members are just happy to pour on fuel and allow him to become worthless. What type of society do we live these days where we're so quick to destroy, ridicule and write off a person, a player and fellow supporter.
  9. I recall Pardew commenting a couple of times how being in the top two positions creates stress and tension he and the players could well do without. This is different to Atkins approach. If I am correct Pardew felt it was better to sit in the play off places all season and then go for it in the final 10 games of so. I just hope that Atkins has got it right and we can stand the pressure of the second half of the season.
  10. Jan Poortvliet must surely fill the role and cheap as well.
  11. Not even males are unaffected by implants given by the French PIP company in buttock enhancements, testicles replacements and muscle building. Relieved that I've never been taken in to enhance the body God gave to me. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/8994962/PIP-gave-faulty-silicone-implants-to-men.html
  12. Reading what you've posted reminds of how when we faced relegation, Rupert made it pretty obvious the squad had to relie on the Academy players, infering they were capable enough.
  13. Indeed this is Nigel's biggest test here at Saints. How he deals with it and how Nicola Cortese reacts to it all is how the rest of the season pans out. PSG were top of the French League, wobbled in 3 games and the club fired the manager and have brought in Carlo Ancelotti to show their ambition.
  14. We're hanging on at the top by the skin of our teeth. The alarm bells been ringing for over a month now. Just hope we don't duplicate how it went for Nigel at S****horpe who were right up near the top of the Championship at Xmas then crashed right down the league and got relegated. As it stands we don't possess a squad capable of fighting it in the Premiership.
  15. Many thanks Stuart, not only a Saint but a true red and white Gentleman and Scholar COYS!!!!!!!!!!!.
  16. At most clubs players are hero worshiped and respond on the pitch to pay the supporters back. Sadly nowadays at Saints there is a few twisted minded supported who think making our best players fell like jerks for their habits and behavior in their spare time does them a world of good. Whenever results start going against us, up surfaces all the type of nonsense that makes players cringe and lose confidence. Just why does it happen and do those that post these things honestly think they are rendering the club's promotion bid any good. All the gossip and rumors in the past really put the boot in when we were facing relegation. So can we encourage not discourage our players by keeping all the personal stuff off the message boards and forums. Let's make them belief in themselves and belief their efforts will get us promoted.
  17. One thing is certain. Under Cortese's leadership Saints are far to proud to beg. We only go for the players who want to play and give their everything for the club. Sharp and Maynard blotted their copy books long ago. Hence we no longer have any interest,
  18. Shame that Saints weren't interested in OLIVIER GIROUD last season when he was available for peanuts. Amazing player and some lucky club as going to get him from my local team Montpellier http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aR_kI9eA5lQ
  19. Shame
  20. After today and the reaction once again of all the big mouths, I find myself asking who are the REAL SCUM these days. I hate to think how things will be if we succeed in returning to the Premiership. :(
  21. Hmm!! http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Transfer-news-Newcastle-told-Rickie-Lambert-not-for-sale-by-Southampton-article846173.html
  22. It gets better. Carlo Ancelotti is now supposed to be in talks with PSG to take over. Just where is all the money coming from?
  23. Beckham is supposed to have given his word and the deal will be signed after the New Year holiday. I'm wondering if it wasn't the manager adverse to the signing who leaked the news to the press, hence him being fired today. Certainly the PSG supporter base has been very upset at the deal and been commenting on all the news programs.
  24. Well with all the fuss over Beckham's arrival yesterday and PSG winning their match and taking over from my local team Montpellier at the top of the Ligue: today PSG have just announced they are parting company with their manager. The owners said "the bench needs to provide lots of attraction in the same way there is on the pitch" This is an odd oone and one wonders what more the poor guy could have done than top the Ligue for Christmas.
  25. Latest news casts are saying PSG supporters are inflamed over the reported salary of 800,000 euros per month which doesn't included bonuses! Fabian Bartez, ex clown goalkeeper who played with Beckham at Man United thinks it's a brilliant move. For that kind of money they could have landed TEVEZ or any current top player. Maybe Victoria's includede in the deal
