  1. That is the first post I've ever seen which included the words "Michael McIntyre" and "funny" in the same sentence.
  2. *sits back, puts up feet and reaches for popcorn*
  3. Absolutely. Why should we not do what the top sides trot out as a matter of routine?
  4. Really chuffed for them!! Congratulations, well deserved promotion.
  5. In other words, he's been poor enough for the manager not to pick him?
  6. ...which I believe is precisely what we paid for him in the first place. Its a sterile debate anyway imho, those bridges have been well and truly burned.
  7. A touch of the Arturs.... https://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/world-of-sport/watch--takashi-usami-scores-unbelievably-cheeky-goal-for-gamba-osaka-135037325.html
  8. I remember a story about some poor old bloke who got stopped by the police on the M25 because he was veering all over the road. Turned out he'd been driving for 12 hours straight, and was completely disorientated. His first question was "am I anywhere near scotland yet?" He was trying to visit his son in Aberdeen, but hadn't realised the M25 was circular. I think the coppers drove him home iirc...
  9. To be fair, how can anyone get excited about 22 blokes kicking a ball around? And getting paid forty grand a week for it, funded by the spectators?
  10. I'm not so sure about that. Always got the feeling under MP that although we kept hold of the ball well in defence and midfield, it usually felt like a surprise when we actually scored. Under RK, its usually a surprise that we hadn't scored earlier. Either way, I definitely prefer watching the way we play now to last seasons fare.
  11. Thats the point though, its typical pochettino. Same as when he was here, they had all the ball (64% possession) and did very little with it. 4 shots, 2 on target, 2 goals. We had 13 shots, 4 on target, 2 goals, but at least we gave ourselves a chance of winning it. We are a lot more entertaining to watch under big ron.
  12. I know, but the taters were saying that it looked like medial ligament damage as he went down unchallenged. Owen mentioned it too, and said it was typical of that injury; walk off alright, and it hits later.
  13. It occurred to me that if it is a nasty ligament injury, could be the worst of both worlds. Another j rod, no player, hefty wages, no fee to replace him.
  14. Did we have more possession? The stats said 36% saints 64% spurs.
  15. Given the money he's spent, it's going to be interesting to see how much more leeway the board are prepared to give him. I suppose if they manage a CL spot, they could look at it either of two ways; keep him because he pulled it off, or get someone better in to maximise their chances in it. The latter option wouldn't be difficult imho.
  16. Hook, line, sinker! Nice one.
  17. Back in L1, weren't we linked with Exodus Geohaghon? Now there's a name.
  18. Which one gets to fix the washing machine?
  19. McQueen made a few excellent runs in behind in the 1st half. Very impressed, he looks promising to me.

When a poster who posts as rarely as Tom here says something this definite, its probably worth listening.
  21. Don't sweat it. If it started earlier, it'll start tomorrow. If it doesn't, just beg a jump start from a neighbour, but if it started ok after you left the lights on it should be fine.
  22. No idea, Kelvin.
