  1. Heading up there tonight. Looking forward to it. Not been to Anfield in a long time!
  2. Just amazing! They have returned to the old humour and that's what I wanted, not a life simulator!
  3. Reviews are out now. Looking good. Sadly I did not get my cop early
  4. So if one person says we are as good as Arsenal that means the entire forum thinks that? What is your prediction then Barry? Where do you think we should be placed? As I see a lot of noise from you guys saying xyz poster said this or that but you guys don't put down your predictions/expectations.
  5. Still sticking with my top 10 prediction. I just hope we won't be getting threads re-bumped/judgements on a game by game basis. Makes this forum ****ing boring at times.
  6. Or why be either? Why not just be happy when we win and a bit down when we lose? One win does not = we will be the champions of the world and one loss does not = we will be relegated and disappear into oblivion. Some people (the internet) seem to think you should win every single game you play. But yet if you look at the table only two teams remain unbeaten. That means 90% of teams this year have been beaten. I bet if you look on their forums they won't have the kind of threads we have here. The way I see it is I am happy as long as we are going forwards. And I believe we are. Some of what people on here have been saying is just embarrassing.
  7. Wait a second, are people seriously saying we don't look like scoring based on yesterdays game?!
  8. God knows how we didn't win that one. If it was not for their keeper it would of been a mauling. Some of the best saves I have seen for a long time and rightly he won motm. We hit the post, had a ball scrambled off the line, and then 3 or 4 world class saves. Just lacking that bit of luck. I also felt we should of had a penalty for Nolan's handball. We should of won this game easily and I don't remember Boruc having to make a save all game. We played some good football at times, some nice link up play. But overall it was very scrappy with both teams losing the ball with poor passes. Got no worries at all. Like I said last week, sooner or later someone is going to get a mauling from us.
  9. I gone for Matthyse by KO/TKO/DQ and Mayweather on points. £5 = £14 return with Ladbrokes. Think that's the only way of getting some cash here. However sneaky punt with Garcia kO/TKO/DQ and Saul winning by KO/TKO/DQ. £2 = £66 return.....The messed up thing is Garcia could defo do that and Saul could too if he rehydrates like a mofo after the weigh in. Long shot but that's boxing for you!
  10. Totally agree. That is what makes Mayweather so good. He can't be hit! But he is definitely not as good as he was. He has been rocked a few times recently. Saul is definitely the hardest hitter he has been in with. He is also a unified champion so he is no mug, to do that at any weight is amazing. I think Matthysse will win but they will both come out of it busted up. I can't see it going the distance no way as they both like to go to war!
  11. Really hope Canelo wins this match as he has the right attitude and seems totally normal. Cares about boxing rather than the money. He has a quick right hook which will be dangerous if it connects. That said as much as I dislike Mayweather he is a boxing genius who will counter him to death and most likely win on points. Alverez has to put the pressure on him from the start or he has no chance. The Garcia vs Mattheyse is the one I am most looking forward. That is going to be one brutal fight....
  12. Hoping my copy get's delivered today as status on greenmangaming as gone from pre-order to Grand Theft Auto V (PlayStation 3) 01/09/13 In Transit sweet
  13. Demo out today then.
  14. Reading Newsnow does not make you in the know.....
  15. Green man gaming doing it for £35.99 plus £5 credit. So technically £30.99 http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/gb/en/playstation-3/games/action/grand-theft-auto-v/ Also get the blimp bonus with it. I imagine some stores like Sainsburys will do deals like spend £50 on shopping and get it for £25 etc
  16. By far the best transfer window we have had in my lifetime. Bringing in three international players who were starters for their teams in the CL is mind blowing. Never thought I would see the day. Around this time last year our most expensive purchase was Rory Delap, sort of puts it into perspective doesn't it? Some will be unhappy but I think they would of been unhappy no matter what we did. If we paid £100m for Bale, £100m for Ronaldo they would say some of that money should of been spent on defence/keeper etc. Some people just like to complain for the sake of complaining. Some famous guy said "we now live in the age of the professional complainer". Some on this forum prove those remarks to be true. If we go back a few years and were told this would be our line up --------------------Boruc (international)------------------ Clyne (u21 int)--Lovren(int)---Fonte-----Shaw (u21 int) ------------------------------------------------------------- --------------Wagamama(int)--Morgan Ramirez(int)-----------------------------------Lallana(was called up to int squad) --------------Lambert(int)---------Osvaldo(int) Not to mention players like Rodriguez/Cork/Davis/Yos etc I think people would of thought you were crazy! At some-point our squad is going to click and some team is going to get a hammering.
  17. Just off to read the Moyes doesn't know what he is doing thread on their forum....
  18. It is but not in the way the OP is trying to suggest. A ball that is what 50 yards away has to be in play a long time. Both sides have a chance to do something about it while it is in the air. When you have a penalty or a free kick outside the box there is not much the defenders can do while it is the air. You can't defend a penalty etc. It should not be put in the same bracket as scoring a penalty. Because there is a lot both teams can do to influence what happens from that situation. It all boils down to your definition of open play and when open play stops. If you look at the percentage of goals scored your see most are scored from 'dead ball' situations. Man Utd won the league last year and scored more 'dead ball' goals then 'open play' goals. So my point is that 'dead ball' goals are just as important as 'open play' goals no matter how you try to define it. A free kick is a dead ball, but scoring from either open play or dead ball is equally as important as each other. If we had scored only goals from open play and missed penalties you would be saying the opposite. But hey, like I give a **** what you think. Just hope you have enough tissues what with all your crying
  19. Except it was not a corner, it was a free kick from the half way line.... Kraken get's it wrong shocker...
  20. Is scoring from a header not in open play then?
  21. Interesting as Sky say we had 11 http://www1.skysports.com/football/live/match/287313/stats and bbc say we had 14 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23822700 But hey whatever
  22. A simple case of not taking the chances when they come and having way too many bad decisions go against us. In the first three games we have had two legit goals disallowed, two clear penalties and some terrible offside calls. That is part of football and in some degree happens to all clubs. If we got the stone wall penalty today and Adam hit the net instead of the post we would of won. Did we deserve to lose that game? Not at all. I think even the most biased Norwich fans would agree they got very lucky. Not worried at all. 58% ball possession, 15 shots or something like that, and some more good performances from the nippers. A far cry from where we were this time last year. Different day different result. That is football.
  23. I myself have not met him no. But I knew people who worked at Saints when he was there and they didn't like him much. Remember the bringing in an anonymous letter thing? That is why I think it is within his character. But hey I could be wrong.
  24. A few years back a similar thing happened to me (not the stalker part). While searching for a new house I rented a property for a year. Was only a two bedroom flat. Long story short when it was time to leave I paid for a professional cleaning service to come wash the entire house. Clean the carpets, make sure all appliances work etc. This cost me about £300. A lot of money you might think? When it came to handing the keys back the landlord seemed fine, looked at the flat, said everything looked new and said he would return the deposit. Lo and behold a week later I get a letter from him saying the fridge was broken, there was a crack in the shower glass, there was a hole in one of the carpets. Of the £1200 deposit he wanted to keep £1000 to cover the costs. Naturally I was shocked and thought no chance in hell that is happening. A few more weeks went past and I heard from his solicitor. At that point I decided it was time to hand it over to my solicitor too. After we showed them photos of the flat after we left which showed what he said was not true and the cleaning/maintenance service acting as witnesses he caved in. He said "There must of been a mistake somewhere in communication". Most people would of thought "thank god that is over" and just leave it. We didn't. We found out he had done this to the previous tenants too so we jointly took him to court for damages and he lost. Now the point of me telling that story is that by going through that case I learnt a valuable lesson about private renting. A lot of landlords are ****ing crooks who think they are entitled to the deposit money no matter what condition the house is in. Some would go even so far as to create damage to their own property and then try and scare you with legal action so you get scared and pay up. Now I am not saying Lowe has done that, but do I believe he has that side to his character? Someone who would happily take money from someone for pretty much nothing? Without a shadow of a doubt...
