I was at the game today. I am so proud that I am a Saints supporter. The atmosphere was electric. The cards on all the Saints seats and the holding them up at kickoff was awesome well done the club. The first half we absolutely gave our all and if the ball had run kindly we could have gone in 3-0 up. It didn't happen and they are a premiership team with premiership players and it showed but am I disappointed, by the result yes by the effort no. Would I ever be anything but a Saints supporter the answer is NO!!!! What a great day out. What a great atmosphere. What a great future we have. Thank you all involved. Onwards and upwards. Saints forever!!!!!!

Got my two tickets on line. Driving down from Corby Sat morning. Any suggestions as to where is the best place to park. Can't wait, staying overnight so hopefully illhave plenty to celebrate. Really hope we can rub those skate noses deep into the s**t. The red and White army will drown them out.

Does anyone know the alternate tel no to the 0800 number can't get through on that no.
-
Cant stop laughing. Can you imagine the build up to the game in the media. Those skates are going to be cra**ing themselves. I'm lovin it.

Lallana la la la la. No. More than Saints deserved they are right back in it COYR.

To me it's not about where we finish as long as it's above the bottom four, which I have no doubt it will be. What is important is that we get some integrity back into the team and I think that's exactly what's happening. Pardew has my vote I believe in him. The club is returning to its roots. If we make the play offs or a cup final it's a bonus but if we carry on with the impetus we have now then surely we will be favourites for automatic promotion next season. I would be VERY happy with that.

First ever game I saw was away to Swindon early 1960s only nine years old night game pouring with rain. Paine booed by local fans for a slide tackle in the mud. He had his revenge by a run with the ball and a winning goal. Been hooked ever since.

We had most of the possession 59/41%. Lambert was of the boil. Their keeper had a great game. Its one loss after a good run. Trotman weak today not the end of the world it's football you can't win every game.

If we start the way we did against Charlton I believe we will steamroller them. We are due a bit of luck wth our goal attempts and we could easily score 4 or 5. But be a long term Saints fan there is always that niggle that the wheels will fall off. But look how much our players are enjoying themselves especially Lambert what a giant of a player. Can't wait for Sunday although I must make sure I have taken my blood pressure tablet!! It's always good to be a Saints supporter but it's especially good now.

I subscribe to it have done for years hadit delivered in far away places such as South Africa, Botswana and Papua New Guinea and would avidly read it from front to back several times and yes disappointingly it has diminished in content. For guys like myself who live away from Southampton you need some means of keeping up with the pulse of what's happening. That's why I devour the contents of this forum.

Don't you just love it when a plan comes together. Wasn't at game but am impressed with the reports on Lambert and Lallana sounds like they could become a dominant force in L1. Papa sounds like a character and there's nothing wrong with one of those in your team. The big factor for me today is that you have to go to 11th place in the league to find the next team on a positive goal diff. As my late Dad ( an ardent Saints fan ) used to say you build your team from the back. Oh happy day now onwards and upwards please.

Good post. I will join you in judging AP and the team at the END of the season. In the meantime let's try not to get frustrated I mean at one stage we nearly had no team. It's a five year plan so just let AP get on with it

The most naturally talented footballer this country has ever had. Had the privalege of watching some of the greats ie. Charlton , Best, Moore, but Le Tiss always took my breathe away. As my late Father ( one of Le Tiss's biggest fans) used to say " if he had been born a Brazilian they would have built the whole team around him!" Truly a legend.

I don't believe for one second that AP isn't working on acquiring new players and probably doing right this minute when it is sorted we will know he s not a bleater like redcrap. Patience and all will be revealed.

Will the fat lady please sing. FFS!!!!!!

What do we all want. We want our club back. No more recriminations. Lets just embrace what hopefully will be the move by Pinnacle to put us back in business. The Legend will be at the top and he will NOT let us down. I can't wait to be back at SMS shouting on the boys to victory. What ever the outcome of the season it will be welcome respite. Saints forever.

A Gratuitous Anti Pompey Thread To Help Cope With The Stress

I have supported the Saints for over 40 years and whilst what has happened to my club rips my heart out I am the eternal optimist ( is that why I am a loyal Saint) and if we have to go down to rise again like a phoenix from the ashes then so be it because NO matter what I will always be a Saint. Roll on next season!!!!

If you believe it will happen.
-
what happened to the going into administration today rumour.

How bloody depressing these threads are. Is there any hope tonight. Does anyone know if there will be any change to the team. Ever the optimist I am going to bank on the lads pulling their socks up and JP changing formation 2-0 Saints
