If only football was so easy...! But, yes it's certainly do-able. If we can get a couple of players in the Jan window to provide cover for the injuries/suspensions we can certainly finish 6th Really depends on whether Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool can get their act together and start pushing on as we hope to do. Not sure if Liverpool can do it on the squad they have. If Utd's defence doesn't improve soon we'll steal a march on them to make the second half of the season a tad interesting. We weren't that far behind them last time round. I feel the Arse will come good once Theo gets back and they sign another striker to do what Podolski was supposed to do. Good times ahead....

Just had MotD on repeat.... I've been watching Saints for near on 50 years. Tadic's performance for Saints was one of the best I've ever seen. Simply sublime.... His passing, awareness and ball control was pure class. He's not one to run around to try and impress. All his assists were done at walking pace. If he can keep this level up for even half a season, we'll have another season to remember...

We all have our opinions on players, but a change of club can have big influence on how they perform. I said buying Crouch was a huge mistake, couldn't believe we actually paid money for him. Wrong...!! Bertrand is looking every inch a bargain......

And let's not forget he has worked under three very different 'bosses', each putting their own stamp on things. Cortese's way was well documented, KL has put her touch on things and although RK is still an unknown quantity I'm pretty sure that none of these suffer fools gladly. And he's still here I too never understood why he was the target of so much abuse on here. He seems to have guided us through our recent history rather well.

Thoroughly deserved.... And we beat a strong Arsenal side, not their reserve side. What a season this is going to be....

Come on guys, this is supposed to be a bit of fun....!! Just dreaming, that's all....!! Yes, Chelsea to lose just to see us go top...

I'd be seriously worried about these two guys behind Pelle. Players nowadays are paid a fortune and should be far more responsible for their conduct during the close season. FFS.....

Ohio... Ok thanks, didn't hear it, just reading the OP. If I was J Rod, I think I'd be as depressed as hell. Just 24 years old and missing a probable seat on the plane.... It's impossible for anyone to know what the future holds, footballers in particular. They are after all said and done, just employees. If the boss want to change things, then it will happen. Just like any other job really...

Thanks Duncan I've just watched the video of Ralph speaking at the dinner and his cycle ride to Villa. I know he is a motivational speaker so we can expect a decent line from him, but everything I've heard from the club lately has just been music to my ears. Maybe I'm buying into it too easily, I hope not. But listening to Les Reed, Ralph and KL I don't know a time when I've felt better about being a Saints fan. I really can't understand the negativity from some posters, dressed up as telling us 'the other side of things'. Just enjoy....
